Welcome to the ZeroUsed Swiss! This tournament is a part of the 2023 ZU Circuit. This is a type A tournament and entering will earn you points for the overall circuit, which contributes to achieving the ZU Circuit banner!
Specific Rules:
- This is a standard SV ZU (Generation 9) tournament.
- Matches are to be played on PS!, preferably on the smogtours server.
- All rounds will be a best of three
- If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.

- Replays will be required from round 2 onward!
- As its name implies, ZU Swiss is a Swiss tournament
- Players will be assigned a random opponent out of the pool of players with the same record as you each round.
- Top cut players will then play in a single elimination bracket.

- Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same Pokedex number on their team.
- Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.
- OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
- Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.
This is inspired from Lady Salamence in Smogon Masters
This tournament uses a Swiss format, where everyone plays until Round 6. The Top Cut will be single elimination and based on a 7-player bracket, with the person going 6-0, receiving a bye. All matches will be a Best of 3 in SV ZU.
Once Round 6 concludes, there will be 7 players qualified (5-1 score or better) for Playoffs. If someone drops out, these remaining players will be ranked by Resistance, which is the cumulative win percentage all of their opponents throughout the Swiss phase. Furthermore, every player will receive an amount of point corresponding to their record in the tournament as follows.
The top cut players will receive points based on their placement in the playoff round (not cumulative with the above points).
