Zoroark carves a small niche in RU as a pivot that can create mindgames with Pokemon that would seem to force it out, such as Milotic and Togekiss. Thanks to its ability Illusion, Zoroark can disguise itself as their checks, and it can hinder Pokemon with Knock Off and pivot into wallbreakers safely with U-turn. However, Zoroark's defensive profile is extremely lacking and it doesn't naturally scare many Pokemon out, making it reliant on Illusion to perform its role. Illusion can be difficult to get use out of consistently, since any amount of damage on Zoroark or the Pokemon it copies can ruin the mind game. Flamethrower can hit Steel-types like Steelix for good damage, while Low Kick can be used to hit others like Registeel harder. 36 Special Attack EVs allow Zoroark to 2HKO Togekiss with Sludge Bomb after Stealth Rock. Sucker Punch allows Zoroark to revenge kill with priority, but it is hard to fit.
Sweepers, such as Flygon and Cloyster, enjoy Zoroark being around to hinder their checks with Knock Off and get them free setup opportunities with U-turn. Wallbreakers that need pivoting support to come in safely, such as Toxtricity, appreciate Zoroark bringing them in and playing mind games against their checks with Illusion to wallbreak more easily. Partners that can set Spikes, such as Klefki, help compensate for Zoroark's middling offensive stats. Heavy-Duty Boots users like Xurkitree and Heracross that can scare out Zoroark's checks, such as Togekiss and Incineroar, help Zoroark take full advantage of its Illusion by not taking entry hazard damage, which ruins the mind game.
