Hello and welcome to the seventh iteration of the ZUPL! This thread is for the signups for those who wish to manage in the tour. This year we're looking at 8 teams, so 8 manager duos! Managers are expected to have past ZUPL experience, managed in a Smogon team tournament before, and/or be a major contributor to ZU. Additionally, keeping a team name from last year is highly encouraged, but not a requirement! To manage, please compile the following form:

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):

The format this year is:

When posting, please make it clear if you want to continue a existing team, make a new one, and what retention pool you want to inherit if you're making a new one (click here for the ZUPL VI spreadsheet, to see last year's teams and retain pools)

Managers can purchase themselves for the price of 12.5k + 1k for (positive) differential in ZUPL VI. Managers are also expected to be active in their teamchat and respond quickly with substitutes or lineups. Player retains will be the player's price last year + 3k (minimum 10k, + 3k markup for consecutive retains). Retains are limited to two per team.

Signups will close on Sunday, July 13th at 14:00 GMT +2, with player signups going off shortly after with the chosen managers.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):
My duo and I are very interested and focused on managing team tours. I'm currently in ORAS Underground with my bro seraphz and I've managed many discord PLs among our friends. Nasir (ThundergamesPT2) is one of the managers at LTWC representing Portugal.

We came to win and show that Sacred Sakura can do a great run in this ZUPL if we can't keep the name, we'll be happy with Mewing Mewsprits lol

My duo and I are very interested and focused on managing team tours. I've managed many PLs on discord between friends. We are very committed looking foward to be managers.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): after not getting drafted last zupl I played in both zuol and zuwc as well as making circuit playoffs. I also managed in puwc, won while managing in pubd, and currently are managing in ltwc. Neomon has also played last zupl, zuol, and zuwc as well. He also has managed multiple 1v1pls, 1v1wcs and nupl. together we have knowledge of all of the tiers and have the managerial experience to draft a good team. also if possible we'd like the retains from the fiery flamingos.

Why would you be a good manager? One last kiss has managed Adpl,, Sspl three times (made it to finals last year) cappl to semis last year, (currently #1 seed this year), won ptpl in 2022. He's been playing for years and has played in most tours on the site including spl, I'm managing oras underground right now which has oras zu and we're #1 seed and are 4-0 in regular season. Olk played in zupl last year we're in it to win it if given the chance.

Team Name: Mossui Town Spiritombs

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details):
Zpice and I have plenty of experiences both as players and managers. Zpice is very familiar with ZU and has a solid amount of knowledge across gens. He managed RBYOMPL reaching semi finals, and other community tours including ZUWC/PMPL/LPL.
I have been in team China for the past two ZUWCs, just won UMBD this year, and made UMGS Playoffs, showing enough metagame knowledge. On the management side, I led team China in several world cups including 2 WCOPs and currently WCOR. I was also in charge of NDPL, shadow managed CNPL, and won RUFL. Both of us will be active and supportive during the tour.

Why would you be a good manager?: We made top 4 last year losing in semis. We joined the tour with little to no experience but since then me and Irene have both played/managed in this years ZUWC + advltl.
We've also managed various tours together and with separate partners over the years like ( just to name a few ) the wcop of Pokémon, bsspl, oupl, blt , tpp , advpl and quite a lot more.

We think that we have the experience and knowledge to manage for a second year running a good team, hopefully making playoffs this year.

Why would you be a good manager? (Prior experience + any other additional details): In light of recent events, Zause and I have reconciled and believe we can rally the SaKobo's from worst to first in honor of our fallen hero.

In light of more recenter events, I have opted instead for Kingler as the assistant manager of the Sacred Slugma Society.
