Nasty Plot Rotom-F is a huge beneficiary of Paldean Tauros and Basculin recently getting banned, which made me want to build around it here. Tera Fairy lets it set up on, revenge kill, or at least chip Pokemon like Alolan Persian and Gurdurr in a pinch. Clefairy + Whiscash can form a nice defensive core and offer entry hazard support, which can help wear down targets for one of the team’s setup sweepers. Clefairy even has Wish to keep Rotom-F and its teammates in the game for longer, which can translate to more setup opportunities. Clefairy’s EV spread lets it outrun uninvested Gurdurr. Whiscash is running Earthquake instead of Earth Power to hit Komala and Chansey harder, and Tera Ghost lets it spinblock. Nasty Plot Alolan Persian is another consistently great setup sweeper that often takes over endgames thanks to its high Speed and decent physical bulk. Rotom-F + Alolan Persian is a difficult offensive core to reliably wall and both are good at softening one another’s checks. Next is Swords Dance + Synthesis Leafeon, which handles special walls for Rotom-F and Alolan Persian and can check Ground-types throughout the game. Tera Fire lets it set up on Will-O-Wisp Misdreavus, resist Ice-type moves, and potentially trade with weakened Fire-types like Pyroar. Finally, Choice Scarf Haunter gives the team additional speed control along with keeping foes like Gurdurr in check.
