Today I tried a crobat for my new team. In my rather childish nature, I fooled around with the Ev system. I gave my crobat 255 Atk Evs and 255 Spe Evs. I tried to save this team even though i thought i knew what the result would be. To my surprise, I was able to save this team, not to mention able to use it in battle. Is this a glitch?, or Is this a part of the desired mechanics?

No, you could have 255 in two stats; most people just do 252 to get a even number plus 4 evs in a other stat.
Then how on most sites it says you can only have a maximum of 252 Evs in one stat
I guess they are liars. It is 1/2 of your EVs that can go to one stat
255 is the same as 252 because
1 stat bonus = 4 evs
255 is not divisible by 4, so its the same .-.
if one stat boost happens to equal 4 Evs, then one carbos will raise my speed by two. it only does so by one, perhaps less.
