Only a few days later, I managed to hatch a shiny Magikarp :D Missing Atk (lol) but everything else is perfect.

Total eggs hatched - 4440
Total number of shinies - 9

Edit: Attack IV is 6. Oh well.

I'm complete hopeless in breeding Charmander now. Already hatch four of them but all their IV is terrible in some way
1. 31/3/31/31/31/31
2. 31/31/31/31/31/18
3. 31/31/0/31/31/31
4. 31/31/31/31/2/31

I aiming for Mega Charizard X so i chose Adamant as nature and hope for an idea IV spread like 31/31/31/x/31/31 or at least, not terrible iv in hp, def or sp.def
All Charmander hatch with charactersic "Mischievous" mean they had 31iv in sp.atk. How horrible.
Should i contine this hopeless chase or chose one of them as a team member? Your opinion?

Well, no one really know how to breed a "perfect" shiny yet. It's depend on luck to some extend.
For tips on breeding, i see you don't even know how to pass nature so i recommend you should try to learn about iv breeding first. Just Google search that word and you found plenty tutorials around. GameFaqs have a good one. You should learn from the basic first. It wasn't that hard

I recently have gotten the shiny charm and have started using the masuda method on a foreign and regional Bulbasaur!
Hoping the shiny will get the female's HA. and the modest nature is guaranteed to pass down.
Here will be my contribution for the spread sheet.
My First Goal will be 120 eggs. 60 of them are already completed and no shiny offspring.
(Goal will increase as I hatch more eggs and reach goals)

Holy crap, my game is positively spitting out shinies lately! I should definitely buy that lottery ticket :p It's an Adamant Keen Eye (Intimidate) Starly, only missing Defense. Perfect enough for me <3

Total eggs hatched - 4540

Edit: Just checked and the Defense IV is 30! That's practically a 6IV :D

I can't say for sure, but I think the region stays Japanese. I don't know if you want to risk bringing it over. I got my 6IV Ditto from CD_North here on Smogon. You could always ask him for one if you want to keep your Ditto on your Platinum save. :)

I've already bought it over, I'm just wondering, because I've tried MMing, and havn't had anything in like 800 eggs, so I'm not sure whether to put it down to bad luck or just the fact that the region changed.

If you want to check its region, just see if the Pokemon has a language tag. All Pokemon that are from the same region as you won't have a visible region tag, but those that are foreign will have a language tag that will look like GER or JPN or so on.

By the way, the chances of getting a shiny with MM and no SC is 1/1024 and even with SC, 800 isn't that much ;) Just keep going, and good luck!

Wonder Trade, obviously. Either that, or wait until ORAS and Wonder Trade them there. That will earn you a lot of Pokémiles.

There are many sites you can use to help learn how to breed. Or you can also buy the Kalos region pokedex book. It has all the breeding tips in the beginning of the book. If you get confused on anything just ask and im sure me or someone else can help you ^_^

Omg thanks for the suggestion, I got a hoopa the second time. I understand this is very most likely fake but i wont use it anyways. Plus it fills a pokedex entry. xD Thanks again for this suggestion!
edit: Correction it is 100% fake as i just found out its not even available in japan e,e

Take a look at the trade tread of the user Buckert, he is giving away free Ditto's. You can find it under "Wifi". :)

Good luck with breeding a perfect Pokemon, I tried and it's so awfully luck based. I hope you get one. :D

My 2nd Goal of 240 eggs has been reached. and on the 239th egg I hatched 1 shiny bulbasaur.
I am going to breed another 30 eggs so it isn't completely "biased". I think that's an alright number... But yeah my first masuda method shiny within 240 eggs! woop woop!
Edit: I successfully hatched 270 eggs now and one shiny was hatched in them.
And one question, do I continue on from this number even if I start breeding a different pokemon? or does it reset? (and yes I'll be using mm for the next pokemon i'm breeding)

Your total amount of eggs is the one that counts. For example, next time you can say that you hatched a shiny Squirtle in egg number 100. And then you write down your totals, in this case that would be:
Eggs hatched: 370
Shinies: 2

I hooe I make a little bit of sense with my babbling here. :')

Like LB said if you look at mine even though I got a three shinies in a row after my first shiny at 479 within 100 so eggs of each other I have yet to see another shiny at 930 so my ratio would be 3:930 or 1:310
