    Where Ralts is concerned you'd have to understand the fight it took to get it raised in the first place. There was more than enough rigorous debate defending its rise to want to ever have to deal with that again. And with such an exacting standard set upon making it rise, no reason it shouldn't meet the same standard to fall.

    Not to diminish your perception of gatekeeping, I can understand how that could be perceived. Certainly there's no lack of passion to defend the work personally put in but that's also not to suggest I can't be persuaded, Lanturn itself serves as that example when I was convinced to revise my nomination from B to A.
