Okay, i've isolated the problem, see the original post.

you don't need any program to run the generator. But, are you by any chance using windows 7? because I get that same error on 7, but everything works fine on XP and linux.

Actually, it was just the lack of priority as a lead and four move slot syndrome keeping me from Focus Blast to deal with those god awful Tyranitars. However, I tried Alakazam over Azelf for the Life Orb role and I must admit that he works better there. Thanks!
