It's based off this according to Bulbapedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sasaki_Kojirō#Swallow_CutSwordsman boosts Air Cutter and Air Slash but not Aerial Ace
Or at least it shouldn't, since Aerical Ace does not classify as a "slashing move"
Aerial Ace's description:Swordsman boosts Air Cutter and Air Slash but not Aerial Ace
Or at least it shouldn't, since Aeriall Ace does not classify as a "slashing move"
That list is completely unofficial. Since no ability affects slashing moves there is no official list of what counts as a slashing move. However, since the aerial ace description says it slashes its target, making it a slashing move makes sense
Also, that list is stupid because it has Secret Sword but not Sacred Sword...That list is completely unofficial. Also no Razor Shell (that counts, right?)Also, that list is stupid because it has Secret Sword but not Sacred Sword...
Well, we're the group, maybe we should take suggestions for those moves. We have to do it sometimeAlso no Razor Shell (that counts, right?)
I agree. Turns Razor Shell into a 112.5 BP MoveSince the ability was created for Mega Samurott initially, it should count.
That's silly. Aerial Ace is literally based of a swordsman's technique (Sasaki Kojiro's Turning Swallow Cut, to be exact) It not getting boosted by Swordsman is dumb.Swordsman boosts Air Cutter and Air Slash but not Aerial Ace
Or at least it shouldn't, since Aeriall Ace does not classify as a "slashing move"
I'm assuming because Swordsman will probably be applied to Mega Samurott and maybe Mega Bisharp later down the line. Why not just use Tough Claws or one of the 2x attack Abilities? It's simpler, more encompassing of more moves... and in the case of the Power ability, plain old stronger.
This is Kricketune, after all.
Then again, a Bug/Normal with Brute Force Boomburst... mixed wall breaking powers.
Or if you want to force all the switches, turn it utilitarian with Soundproof Perish Song.
When you're as frail as Kricketune, you can't really afford the luxury of spending a turn not setting up or attacking. My guess is, it won't be forcing ANY switches. But Megasam has a huge lightningrod on its head... and a higher base SpAtk.
Besides, a Perish Song that doesn't hit you will force a LOT of switches.
That's an oddly specific ability.you either missed igneate on your list or misspelled and got what it did wrong.
Igneate turns fire type moves into rock type moves with a boost of 75%
It was made with the intention of being used by only one pokemon which only had flame charge for fire typeThat's an oddly specific ability.
I believe it was determined to be too complex or imbalanced by the balancing council, so it was changedIt was made with the intention of being used by only one pokemon which only had flame charge for fire type
I believe it was too complicated and the balancing council just didn't get it.I believe it was determined to be too complex or imbalanced by the balancing council, so it was changed
Then id rather hav him ground fire and have the ability change rock to fire with a 30% boostI believe it was too complicated and the balancing council just didn't get it.
That's EXACTLY what we did to it (And that's what Ignate is there for)Then id rather hav him ground fire and have the ability change rock to fire with a 30% boost
Oh. I havent been able to look at the doc and his wording confused me. Also Igneate should be how it's spelled as ignate makes no sense as a wordThat's EXACTLY what we did to it (And that's what Ignate is there for)
