Watch La Liga! It's been fairly interesting this year (last time it was so entertaining was 2007-08 imo), there are 3 solid title contenders plus a myriad of teams who play well and will be pushing for a UCL/EL spot. Celta, Villarreal, Sevilla, Malaga, Athletic and Valencia are all very good sides this season and while saying that Valencia can put up a title challenge is a stretch (they can't this season, maybe in a year or two), they definitely add spice to the competition.It seems all the leagues are so boring this year. It's just one team dominating and the rest failing spectacularly.
Yea, and that's the sad part. Again, no one should give a shit about it. Why does it NEED to be a big deal? One day, gay athletes are just going to be viewed as the "norm".It would be a big sensation if an active player says that hes gay
And you still haven't got any sub defenders.Just thinking about Arsenal as usual, and I realised I have no idea how we'll line up when everyone is fit.
Szczesny;
Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs;
Flamini, Ramsey;
Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez
Giroud
is a conservative guess... But I'd like to see:
Wilshere, Flamini, Ramsey;
Ozil, Sanchez, Oxlade-Chamberlain.
I don't see why Sanchez can't be a striker, he's like an upgraded Welbeck in every way. Ox is one of our best players and so is Ozil so they can't be dropped. I'd like to see Wilshere, Flamini and Ramsey in midfield. Wilshere and Ramsey together is very strong but it's harsh on Walcott, Welbeck, Giroud, Podolski, Cazorla, Arteta and all the rest of them. How is Campbell, Gnabry, Sanogo and all gonna get a game. And I'm not even thinking about Diaby and Rosicky...
In which other league exactly are teams not trying to win? The problem england has is its simply not producing enough young talents who can do that, largely I think due to worse academies. Who are the only teams with young english players? Southampton and Arsenal have two of the best academies in the league, but their academies aren't on par with the big european academies, and thats why england is falling behind internationally.The Premier League has become purely about winning, rather than bringing up young players. And although that makes for great viewing, it's why England have fallen behind on the international scene.
The teams in the German and Spanish leagues want to win too, it just so happens that depending on players of domestic nationality actually helps them to achieve this objective. And that is down to the superiority of their academies and the support given to them.The Premier League has become purely about winning, rather than bringing up young players. And although that makes for great viewing, it's why England have fallen behind on the international scene. Wenger, despite his attempts at bringing youngsters into the PL, has lead to Arsenal falling behind quite significantly compared to Chelsea/Man City. And honestly, i'd say Southampton are the one team trying to bring youngish English players into the league. Look at Clyne, Shaw, Chambers, Forster, Ward-Prowse, Cork, Rodriguez, Lallana...
I'm not saying that that other leagues don't want to win, but if you look at the lesser teams in the leagues, 50% of their players will be of the nationality of their league. The bigger teams can then loan their younger players to these clubs and they still get a competitive experience. That works in the UK, but not to a good enough extent, and that's where we lose outIn which other league exactly are teams not trying to win?
