Description: Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokémon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokémon battling arena. In the centre of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Poké Ball centre). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about 4.5m wide & creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is 24m wide, 33m long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it is an outdoor arena with a large water source & packed dirt. Pokémon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying-type Pokémon, who cannot leave the arena & cannot fly higher than 18m). This prevents Pokémon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokémon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.
The Lord of the Seas, Oceans, and Every Drop of Water in Between goes by many names in many tongues. Mizuchi, Apam Napat, Poseidon, Aegir, Neptune, Chalchiuhtlicue, Sedna - all of them referred to one and only one element, the one who cycles through three different physical phases and multiple atmospheric levels in its journey. Tracing Prescott-Slowking's ability, Subway's Alpha-Krilowatt wasted no time in challenging Kryllowatt-Krilowatt with a Thunder attack. Revolver-Clawitzer, on the other hand, took on Prescott-Slowking with a Mega-Launched super-effective Dark Pulse. But it seems Solid Gold had an impressive plan in mind - spending the first actions in setting up and slowing down Alpha, the following bouts see Kryllowatt simply going First on the drenched Alpha (looking not so Alpha now), and Prescott simply avoided the focused attacks on him with a Dig! Despite sustaining a HUGE amount of electrical damage, Alpha seems to be keeping up, as barely as it seems. Nevertheless, losing out on an Electric mon in a Water Gym quals is too early for Subway, so we'll see how he reacts soon enough.

Also, props to Prescott to use the only Water-type attack in this round.

Sensing another Thunderbolt coming his way, Alpha swiftly Protected himself, but Kryllowatt simply redirected it towards Revolver instead! Luckily it happened before Prescott drenched Revolver with his Water Gun attack, but the next Electroweb still hits Revolver much harder than it should. Prescott then moved on to try a second attack, but all of a sudden Revolver and Alpha barraged him with Dark Pulse and Thunder, sucessfully knocking the Slowking out!

Having no other choice but to shoulder on, Kryllowatt traded blows with Alpha - unfortunately, the choice of attacks leaves Kryllowatt slightly more wounded than his positive image, especially when Revolver simply launched two Heal Pulses at her teammate, sacrificing her chances of healing. With the first blood finally drawn, unless Subway goes for the switch, the next round will undoubtedly be far more dangerous for him to play against...

Still more props to Prescott for again, the only Water-type Pokemon to use Water-type attacks. I mean, Water-types are known for their diversity, but... well, :/

Proof that referee comments will take their toll on a battler: this round did not fare very well for Subs. First of all, Sui-Ren the Greninja (wonder why it translates to Aquaman, of all things) pulled an energy Mat to Block all attacks directed at Gold's team, making Alpha-Krilowatt's Earthquake damaging no one but Hydro the Azumarill. Then, Hydro's first Play Rough missed by a hair as Kryllowatt used a Mass Excavation to throw him off balance, and Sui-Ren closed in to finish up with a Protean-boosted Grass Knot attack to KO Alpha. Hydro was the next focus fire target, and suffice to say, it didn't just sting for him too. Now we can expect the gym battle to continue heating up. Gold might be able to retain his won momentum, but Subs could pull a comeback and get back in the lead too!

I think you forgot spread move reduction on the Earthquake combo, meaning Kril should survive the Grass Knot and get an extra attack off

Kril dies even with the spread penalty. Azumarill, though, I suppose would have more hp lol. I'll edit orders in after the corrections are made, as long as there are no qualms with that.

Hyper Beam + Dark Pulse ruled legal. But next time, Subway, put a placeholder saying you are awaiting confirmation, then get it by PM-ing the referee before posting orders. Otherwise, it would not be fair that you get a reorder while your opponent, who ordered first, might not. That Substitution you made is thus illegal in the first place.

This is one of those matches where the Fates gambled on and decided they do not want to lose their bettings. Hydro-Azumarill, noticing all the dangerous hostility, braced himself, Enduring the hailstorm and the Toxic spew from Kryllowatt and Sui Ren respectively. But then he Dug underground, in order to evade the next incoming attacks.
