I supported the Ever Grande Bigs during SPL 1 because my good friend Fabbles , whom I can't believe I forgot to shout out, was managing them. That's the closest I've ever been to thinking about wailords.
Dominos. They seem the most receptive to a bit of banter based on the several delivery guys who have drawn funny things on pizza boxes that then ended up on the internet

That's got to be a bigger lategame choke than spirit vs afro smash this SPL
the small amount of pokemon that I play as of now is already too much

again it's hard to pinpoint superlatives on the fly, but I was really proud of my OST 6 (5?) run, whichever was in the year hanke won. I was able to take out several big name players with a complete joke team (the one I reference in the OP) featuring all 3 legendary dogs in the latias/salamence metagame, before losing only to the champion, and only with luck on his side.
As for my worst/most disappointing probably my play against Atticus in our second OST10 game. I saw an opportunity to grind out a slow but guaranteed win no matter what keldeo set he had, but I chose to instead significantly simplify the game state into one where I won quickly if he was non-scarf but lost if he was scarf, thinking to myself "he's definitely not scarf and I want to get out of here sooner than later." He was scarf. There's no excuse for that kind of throw.

most important thing to remember during a game is what ur various winning positions are and how to get to them, and what ur opponents winning positions are and how he might try to get to them
for tours with a specified opponent i look at what his general tendencies are, i also look at what my own tendencies have been and always try to prepare a bit for what my own past weaknesses were. people are becoming more and more sensitive to counterstyling and bringing teams and styles they dont normally do, so going for overt counterstyles is obsolete imo. it's better to just bring a solid team and make sure to not be weak to anything they like to use, and if they use a style they dont normally use then as long as it doesn't counter you, i consider that an advantage because they are way out of their element. see: destiny device vs marth in this weeks spl, DD tried to do a 180 switch from his usual defensive balances to an early 2014 HO type team and just looked completely lost the whole game. so yea, just bring something you're comfortable with that doesnt lose to what the opponent likes, that's the safest way to prepare.
at the moment im not that rich, i currently have roughly 20k liquid + a car and maybe like 5k worth in clothes+electronics+other luxury goods but i think thats not bad for a 20y/o esp since ihave no debt, still gonna be piss compared to my first years salary in the workforce tho hopefully

for smogon tour i have a repository of like 5 or so of my favorite teams that week and i just cycle through them, if i see one of them has a nice m/u against what my opponent has been using ill choose that, otherwise just choose a solid team

since the advent of team preview u cant really use linear strategies anymore in high profile games, like a thing i used to like a lot in dpp was something like rain dance explosion zong + last mon kingdra/omastar in the lategame or like screens lunar dance cress + DD mons, but strategies like this have become obsolete due to team preview because your opponent sees them in advance and plays the whole game trying to stop them, which takes a lot of the threat out.

atm i work in a lab making piss for money (im in there to get better at science not to make $$$) but in the past i have made good dollar amounts buying/selling yugioh cards, SAT tutoring (made a killing off this if u live in a rich area and got a high score, i rly recommend u try it), and i actually very sporadically buy/sell penny stocks, havent made tons of money yet but im probably up ~700-800 dollars off them and dont rly invest that much time, but thats really good compared to being down money!
