Overview

Serperior is a fantastic, very fast with base 113 speed, out-speeding common speedy threats like unboosted Charizards, terrakion, garchomp. It has a versatile movepool both special-wise and physical-wise, and with the release of its Hidden Ability, contrary, has shot straight up from PU to OU. It has a powerful combination of speed and bulk and after one leaf storm, power. It also has a degree of unpredictability, like if your opponent think you have a scarf and are stuck on leaf storm, when you actually have an expert belt, they switch in on something like Mega Charizard X(or Y for that matter) but Serperior, faster than them, with one Leaf Storm boost, ohkoes them with dragon pulse.
Serperio is not without flaws however, and is completely stopped by Specially Defensive Heatran, Mega Altaria and unaware Clefable. It is easy to revenge kill by things like scarfed/ life orbed Mamoswine, Talonflame and life orbed Weavile. Paralysis and toxic poison are detested by it. Also, being a grass type, it has a large number(5) of weaknesses, 4 of which are very common in the ORAS OU metagame.

Serperior's STAB 130 base power Leaf Storm packs great power, with the added bonus of getting it +2 SpA everytime it uses it. Dragon types, Fire types, Poison types, other Grass types and Steel types are the most obviously switch ins on Serperior, resisting Leaf Storm. Dragon Pulse kills off Dragons, Poison(normally effective damage) and Fire types(which are generally not bulky; exception heatran, which counters Serp hard, having an immunity to fire, 4x resist to grass and 2x resist to dragon)HP Fire kills other Grass types and Steel types. Expert belt fits this set extremely well, because most of the time, serp tries to hit opponents with either super effective moves, or STAB Leaf Storm. Life orb is a tad better as it does the extra damage all turns but has the discomfort of recoil damage disliked by Serperior. Choice Scarf is good for late-game Leaf Storm sweeping.
