Overview
########
Gourgeist-XL is a defensive staple in the PU metagame thanks to its excellent typing, movepool and stats. It can blanket check and/or counter many of the tier's premier wallbreakers and sweepers such as Golem, Carracosta and Torterra, golem isn't a wallbreaker/sweeper by any means so i'd either remove that mention or say 'common pkmn' or something along those lines and has the added benefit of having a solid Attack stat to give itself some offensive presence. However, Gourgeist is fairly slow and faces competition from fellow defensive grass types including Quilladin and Roselia, which can support their team with spikes, and its unique Grass/Ghost typing leaves it weak to the common Knock Off and Ice Beam, as well as the common Fire-types in the tier. Nevertheless, Gourgeist has a solid niche as an easy catch-all on balanced and defensive teams.
as a sidenote plz capitalize moves and use '[Typing]-type' as it really easens the load on gp :/

name: Defensive

move 3: Foul Play
move 4: Seed Bomb
ability: Frisk
item: Leftovers
evs: EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
nature: Impish
Moves
========
Will-o-Wisp is Gourgeist's main draw, as it can spread burns around to cripple opposing teams. Synthesis gives Gourgeist a reliable recovery move to keep it healthy throughout the game. Seed Bomb serves as Gourgeist's main STAB move and allows it to check Water-types like Poliwrath more consistently, while Foul Play punishes physical setup Pokemon and allows Gourgeist to hit most notable resistances to Seed Bomb for neutral damage, such as Rapidash.
Set Details
========
Maximum HP and Defense EVs are used to make Gourgeist as physically bulky as possible, with an Impish nature further increasing its Defense. Gourgeist holds Leftovers to give it extra passive recovery, and Frisk is used to scout out opposing items.
Usage Tips
========
Gourgeist is capable of countering most of the tier's Physical attackers that lack a Super Effective STAB move, but can be a predictable switch-in, so so avoid being so predictable that you can be taken advantage of this sentence is worded really weirdly and some examples would be nice, as it's not really understandable what you mean here; like a double, or knock off from fighting types? toxic from a defensive carracosta u thought was offensive? EXAMPLES are key for this stuff imo.). When in, Gourgeist should spread burns as much as possible but also be careful of Guts and Flash Fire Pokemon, which can get a free switch-in and fire off boosted attacks. Gourgeist can also block Rapid Spins due to its Ghost typing, so bringing it in on predicted common spinners such as Armaldo can keep hazards up for later. Make sure that Gourgeist stays healthy throughout the match by using Synthesis, as it needs to stay at higher health to take strong physical attacks like a +2 Life Orb Stone Edge from Carracosta. In addition, beware switching it into the common Water-types of the tier simply due to type advantage, as nearly all offensive Water-types carry Ice Beam and can do significant damage to Gourgeist on the switch. also shit like defensive carracosta can burn geist which really hinders its ability to wall stuff/dmg w/ seed bomb on costa etc.
Team Options
========
Gourgeist's unique Grass/Ghost typing gives it incredible synergy with most of PU's non-Grass-type defensive staples. Poliwrath can take on Dark-type attackers like Pawniard and check Fire-types like Rapidash, while Gourgeist can take the Electric and Ice (??? also np chu and zeb break through geist easily so might wanna suggest something like pilo w/ this core.) attacks aimed at Poliwrath, although the two are both weak to flying. Probopass can cover Flying-types like Dodrio as well as checking Fire-types and trapping Pawniard for Gourgeist, while Gourgeist can cover its Ground and Fighting weaknesses. Grumpig is useful for Gourgeist as it can counter the tier's most threatening ice types (fire fire fire altho this has been pointed out) and give Gourgeist Heal Bell support in case of stray status, but also adds on a second Dark-type weakness. Gourgeist also works well with common setters of Stealth Rock such as Piloswine and Stunfisk, as it can cover their weaknesses to Grass and Water as well as keeping their Stealth Rock up by spinblocking.
Other Options
########
Gourgeist can run offensive sets such as Choice Banded due to its solid attack and good physical movepool. It can also opt to run Leech Seed and/or Protect over Seed Bomb or Foul Play as well as Rocky Helmet over leftovers to rack up more residual damage and passive recovery at the cost of offensive presence and being walled and/or set up on by more Pokemon depending on which move it gives up. Rock Slide can also be used to hit most of Gourgeist's common Ice and Fire-type switchins for super effective damage. Phantom Force can be used as a stronger STAB move, although it can also be easily taken advantage of on the charging turn, while Shadow Sneak gives Gourgeist priority to pick of weakened threats but is very weak. Toxic is an option over Will-o-Wisp, although burns are generally more useful for Gourgeist to neuter Physically attacking switchins. Magic Coat is also a surprise option to reflect back hazards and status, but Gourgeist generally misses the lost moveslot. Gourgeist is also an effective setter of Trick Room with its high bulk, low speed and access to Explosion. A Specially Defensive EV spread and nature can also be run but is not as effective due to Gourgeist's lower special defense and competition from Roselia
you could at least try to downplay stuff like TR a little as it's niche and usually not worth using geist for over other sets, OO stuff generally shouldn't be put in a very positive light
Checks & Counters
########
Gourgeist's biggest issues come from the common Fire-types in the tier such as Torkoal, Ninetales and Rapidash as they resist Seed Bomb and are immune to Will-o-Wisp and can threaten Gourgeist with their Super Effective STAB moves. dash must be wary of foul play though, while koal and tales can just come in for free and tales can even set up a sub Special Ice types such as Regice and Rotom-f, while not immune to burns or resistant to Seed Bomb, do not suffer from the Physical Attack drop of burn and threaten to KO Gourgeist with their STAB moves. Pokemon with the abilities Guts or Flash Fire such as Machoke or Rapidash make Gourgeist (i'm not sure how much id emphasise machoke as geist still doesn't take much from it and can whittle it down altho losing your item fkn sucks) much more cautious about freely spreading burns, although do not appreciate switching into Seed Bombs or Foul Plays. Duosion can use Gourgeist for setup fodder thanks to its high bulk allowing it to take even Super Effective Foul Plays and its immunity to residual damage from burn. Users of Taunt, Substitute and Encore such as Vigoroth and Gogoat can abuse Gourgeist's reliance on non-attacking moves to lock it into non-damaging moves, set up free Substitutes on a status move, or prevent Gourgeist from using its defensive moves at all. Finally, burn and toxic can cripple Gourgeist by keeping it at low health and preventing it from Synthesis stalling easily, making it far easier for teams to deal with Gourgeist.
i mean i guess you could add sand as that really hinders geist's ability to cockblock stoutland, also isn't this supposed to be in bullet point form LOL
this isn't really a comment on the qc side of the analysis but please please please go through the spelling and grammar standards as it makes it easier for all parties involved
also you seem to use and/or a lot which is kind of repetitive and makes it a bit monotonous to read
