[Overview]

Seismitoad is a reliable Stealth Rock setter because of its decent all-around bulk, and its great defensive typing that lets it take on Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon such as Mega Steelix and Rhyperior. Its ability, Water Absorb, not only grants Seismitoad an immunity to Water-type attacks but also somewhat makes up for its lack of reliable recovery. Seismitoad also has a great STAB combination that in tandem with Sludge Bomb grants it amazing coverage, which makes it one of the few bulky Water-types in the tier that can threaten Tangrowth. However, Seismitoad is 4x weak to the common Grass-types in the tier including Virizion and Amoonguss. Additionally, Seismitoad has mediocre offensive stats along with a limited offensive movepool.

Moves
========

Stealth Rock helps wear down the opposing team. Scald is Seismitoad's most reliable attack, with a good chance to burn the foe. However, Hydro Pump can be used instead for extra power, but it has a chance to miss. Earth Power can smash Steel- and Electric-types such as Mega Steelix and Jolteon. Sludge Bomb has great coverage with Seismitoad's STAB moves, hitting Grass- and Fairy-types such as Tangrowth, Virizion, and Aromatisse hard. Icy Wind is also an option to hit Flygon extremely hard.

Set Details
========

A Modest nature and 252 Special Attack EVs are used to maximize Seismitoad's power. The rest of the EVs are put into HP and Special Defense so that Seismitoad can tank as many hits as possible. Seismitoad can also run 136 Speed EVs to outspeed Modest Clawiter or 232 Speed EVs to outspeed neutral-natured base 71 Speed Pokemon and below, such as Adamant Tyrantrum, Modest Samurott, Adamant Emboar, and Jolly Scrafty. Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature can let Seismitoad outspeed Modest Rotom-C, Adamant Hitmonlee, Adamant Gallade, Jolly Emboar, Jolly Tyrantrum, and Timid Samurott. Leftovers provides passive recovery, allowing Seismitoad to check Emboar and Durant more effectively; however, Life Orb can be used instead if Hydro Pump is used, as it amplifies Seismitoad's damage output and allows Seismitoad to potentially 2HKO Virizion and Aromatisse with Sludge Bomb. Life Orb is recommended mainly for the Seismitoad that run Speed investment, as the recoil from it will reduce Seismitoad's longevity, hindering defensive sets. Water Absorb is Seismitoad's best ability, as it grants Seismitoad an immunity to Water-type moves.

Usage Tips
========

Seismitoad fits well on offensive or bulky offensive teams, because it is an offensive Stealth Rock setter that has the bulk to blanket check many threats in RU such as Rhyperior, Durant, and Mega Steelix. Players should pivot Seismitoad into a Water-type attack to gain health and momentum. If Seismitoad is running Scald, be sure to use Scald as many times as possible when there is nothing better to do to spread burns on the opposing team. Seismitoad attracts Grass-types, as it is 4x weak to their STAB attacks, so try to predict the opponent and use Sludge Bomb to heavily damage the Grass-types.

Team Options
========

Seismitoad appreciates Fire-type teammates such as Delphox and Houndoom, as they can deal with Grass-types while Seismitoad dispatches Ground- and Rock-types. Seismitoad also struggles against bulky Water-types such as Jellicent and Alomomola, so partners such as Virizion, Tangrowth, and Jolteon are great; the latter can also gain momentum with Volt Switch. Pokemon that can deter Defog and Rapid Spin users such as Togetic, Flygon, and Hitmonlee from removing Seismitoad's Stealth Rock make for excellent partners. Braviary and Sneasel can take on Defog users; Braviary can attain a +2 Attack boost with Defiant while Sneasel can easily damage them with its Ice-type STAB move, and Meloetta and Sigilyph can outspeed and OHKO Hitmonlee with their STAB Psychic. For a more defensive option, Aromatisse easily handles Hitmonlee and also provides Wish and Aromatherapy support. Durant gets a special mention, as it can take on Grass-types and severely weaken Seismitoad's defensive checks and counters such as Tangrowth and Jellicent. Seismitoad, in turn, beats Emboar and Mega Steelix, both of which wall Durant.

Moves

Stealth Rock wears down Seismitoad's opponents every time they switch in. Scald's main priority is to burn Pokemon that attempt to switch in. Earth Power smacks Rock- and Poison-types such as Tyrantrum and Qwilfish. Earthquake can be used over Earth Power for a bit of extra damage and the ability to OHKO Delphox after Stealth Rock damage and Jolteon at full HP. Toxic is used to punish Grass-types and walls such as Tangrowth and Jellicent. Knock Off can be used over Toxic to get rid of the foes' items while ensuring that Substitute + Calm Mind Meloetta cannot freely set up against Seismitoad.

Set Details
========

The EV spread is used to maximize Seismitoad's bulk, making it a great defensive Stealth Rock setter. A Bold nature boosts Seismitoad's Defense, but a Relaxed nature can be used if Seismitoad is running Earthquake and Knock Off in order to preserve its Attack. Leftovers is crucial, as it provides passive recovery, which this set absolutely needs. Rocky Helmet can be used over Leftovers to punish physical attackers such as Hitmonlee and Emboar, but the recovery provided by Leftovers is too good to pass up.

Usage Tips
========

This set works well on balanced or defensive teams. Players should switch Seismitoad into Water-type attacks so Seismitoad can gain health and a free switch. Seismitoad can also switch in against physical attackers that it can check reliably, such as Durant, Mega Steelix, Emboar, and Tyrantrum. After switching in, Seismitoad should set up Stealth Rock or spread burns with Scald. If you think that your opponent will bring in their Water- or Grass-type walls such as Alomomola and Tangrowth, use Toxic in order to wear them down.

Team Options
========

This set detests status, so clerics such as Togetic, Aromatisse, and Roselia are much appreciated. Aromatisse is also able to provide Wish support to keep Seismitoad healthy and make it a more reliable wall. Furthermore, Pokemon that can absorb Toxic Spikes, such as Roselia and Amoonguss, are great partners as well. Both have great defensive synergy with Seismitoad; they can take on Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Virizion with ease, while Seismitoad handles Fire- and Steel-types such as Delphox and Mega Steelix, both of which annoy them. Roselia can also set up its own Spikes and Toxic Spikes, which work very well with Seismitoad's Stealth Rock. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Mega Steelix and Mega Audino benefit from Seismitoad's ability to beat powerful physical attackers such as Emboar and Durant while they take on Pokemon that give Seismitoad trouble, such as Rotom-C and Meloetta. Setup sweepers that appreciate Stealth Rock support and status spreading from Scald and Toxic, such as Rock Polish Tyrantrum, Swords Dance Virizion, and Dragon Dance Scrafty, are also greatly appreciated. Venomoth in particular works very well with Seismitoad, as it appreciates Seismitoad's ability to weaken Fire- and Steel-types that can hurt Venomoth while it is setting up. In turn, Venomoth is able to deal with bulky Water-types and Grass-types, which greatly annoy Seismitoad.

Substitute eases prediction and allows Seismitoad to block status. Toxic is used to punish Grass-types or walls such as Tangrowth and Alomomola. Earth Power is used to heavily damage Steel- and Electric-types such as Mega Steelix and Jolteon. Sludge Bomb is Seismitoad's best coverage move, hitting Grass- and Fairy-types such as Tangrowth and Aromatisse very hard while doing a decent amount of damage to Virizion. Hydro Pump is an alternative to Sludge Bomb that can hit Bronzong and Sigilyph for a decent amount of damage; otherwise, the duo can wall Seismitoad.

Set Details
========

252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature ensure that Seismitoad can outspeed Jolly Tyrantrum, Adamant Hitmonlee, and Jolly Emboar. 8 HP EVs are invested so that Seismitoad can create four Substitutes instead of three. The rest of the EVs are placed in Special Attack to maximize damage output. Alternatively, a spread with 24 HP / 252 SpA / 232 Spe with a Modest nature can be used for more power while still being able to outspeed Jolly Scrafty, Adamant Tyrantrum, and Modest Samurott. Seismitoad can also use a spread of 88 HP / 168 SpA / 252 Spe to ensure that Jellicent's Hex will not break its Substitute. Finally, a spread of 88 HP / 40 Def / 128 SpA / 252 Spe ensures that Bronzong's Earthquake will not break Seismitoad's Substitute in one hit, but Seismitoad will be noticeably weaker. Leftovers provide passive recovery to ensure that Seismitoad can stay healthy after making Substitutes. Water Absorb is Seismitoad's best ability, as it grants Seismitoad an immunity to Water-type moves, along with the ability to heal itself if hit by one.

Usage Tips
========

Seismitoad is best utilized on offensive teams that are looking for a way to weaken bulky Water-types and stall teams. Seismitoad should try to be behind a Substitute as much as possible, as it is essential for players to keep Seismitoad away from status afflictions of any kind, as they deplete Seismitoad's health. Furthermore, Seismitoad should be switched in against bulky Water-types such as Quagsire, Jellicent, and Alomomola for the chance of Water Absorb activating. After switching in, Seismitoad should proceed to Toxic stall them or set up Substitutes. Additionally, do not directly switch Seismitoad into Knock Off users, as they can remove its only form of recovery in Leftovers.

Team Options
========

For Sludge Bomb variants, Spiritomb and Houndoom make good partners, as they can Pursuit trap Sigilyph and Bronzong, both of which completely wall Seismitoad. Seismitoad appreciates Pokemon that can set up Toxic Spikes and Spikes, such as Garbodor and Qwilfish, which can aid Seismitoad's job of annoying defensive Pokemon. Garbodor can beat Tangrowth for Seismitoad or capitalize on the situation by setting up more entry hazards. Seismitoad is good at weakening bulky Water-types, so Pokemon that appreciate this ability, such as Durant, Tyrantrum, and Mega Glalie, are great teammates, and the former two can set up and sweep late-game once Seismitoad has weakened defensive Pokemon. Fire-types such as Fletchinder, Mega Camerupt, and Delphox also work well with Seismitoad, as they are able to take on Grass-types that can beat Seismitoad, while it can weaken bulky Water-types and Rock-types for them. Seismitoad also appreciates Defog and Rapid Spin support from the likes of Flygon and Hitmonlee, as they can remove Toxic Spikes, which can severely wear Seismitoad down.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Seismitoad can run a Swift Swim sweeper set; however, weather isn't very viable in the RU metagame due to the lack of a reliable way to induce it. Seismitoad can also carry an Assault Vest if extra Special Defense is needed. However, giving up the passive recovery from Leftovers would limit Seismitoad's longevity. Protect can be used to scout out the foe's moves and stall for Toxic damage. Grass Knot can be used as a surprise to do heavy damage to the likes of Gastrodon and opposing Seismitoad. Seismitoad run an interesting set in Substitute + Endeavor with a Salac Berry, using Substitute until Salac Berry activates and then using Endeavor to instantly bring down the foe's HP.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-types such as Tangrowth, Virizion, Trevenant, and Rotom-C resist Seismitoad's STAB moves and easily OHKO it with their attacks. Virizion is able to set up a Swords Dance or Calm Mind on Seismitoad. It should be noted that these Grass-types except Trevenant have to be careful of Sludge Bomb, as it can 2HKO them. Roselia and Amoonguss, while they do not resist Earth Power or Earthquake, can easily survive one and KO Seismitoad with Giga Drain or force it to switch out. The former can set up Spikes and Toxic Spikes for its team, while the latter can put Seismitoad's teammates to sleep with Spore on any predicted switch. Pokemon that carry Grass-type coverage, such as Energy Ball Sigilyph, Grass Knot Delphox, and Grass Knot Samurott, can easily knock out Seismitoad.

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers can easily 2HKO or OHKO any variant of Seismitoad. Choice Specs Meloetta, Life Orb Hitmonlee, Choice Band Gallade, Tyrantrum, and Mega Glalie are premier wallbreakers that can do this with relative ease. Venomoth is able to set up Quiver Dances against Seismitoad, put it to sleep with Sleep Powder, and heavily damage it with Bug Buzz, which can pass through Seismitoad's Substitute, while surviving a hit from full HP.

**Residual Damage**: Because Seismitoad lacks a form of reliable recovery, it is very susceptible to status and entry hazards. Toxic and burn can easily put Seismitoad on a timer, while Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Toxic Spikes can wear it down every time it comes in.

Ununhexium tbh, the extra damage from Earth Power can be quite useful. Also, most Rock- and Steel- types don't have a move to touch Seismitoad, thus doing more damage would be more important.

Edit: Other notes have been addressed as well :] (changes have been made where needed)

The rest of the EVs are put into HP and Special Defense so that Seismitoad can tank as many hits as possible. Seismitoad can also run 136 Speed EVs to outspeed Modest Clawiter or 232 Speed EVs to outspeed neutral-natured base 71 Speed Pokemon and lower Pokemon below, (AC) such as Adamant Tyrantrum, Modest Samurott, Adamant Emboar, and Jolly Scrafty. A Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature can let Seismitoad outspeed Modest Rotom-C, Adamant Hitmonlee, Adamant Gallade, Jolly Emboar, Jolly Tyrantrum, and Timid Samurott. Leftovers provides passive recovery, allowing Seismitoad to check Emboar and Durant more effectively; however, Life Orb can be used instead if Hydro Pump is used, as Life Orb can amplify it amplifies Seismitoad's damage output and allows it to potentially 2HKO Virizion and Aromatisse with Sludge Bomb. Life Orb is recommended mainly for the Seismitoad that run Speed investment, as the recoil from it will reduce Seismitoad's longevity. Water Absorb is Seismitoad's best ability, as it grants Seismitoad an immunity to Water-type moves.

Usage Tips
========

Seismitoad fits well on offensive or bulky offensive teams, because it is an offensive Stealth Rock setter that has the bulk to blanket check many threats in RU such as Rhyperior, Durant, and Mega Steelix. Players should pivot Seismitoad into a Water-type attack to gain health and a free switch. If Seismitoad is running Scald, be sure to use Scald as many times as possible when there is nothing better to do to spread burns on the opposing team. Seismitoad attracts Grass-types, as it is 4x weak to them their STAB attacks, so try to predict the opponent and use Sludge Bomb to heavily damage the Grass-types.

Team Options
========

Seismitoad appreciates Fire-types such as Delphox and Houndoom, as they can deal with the pesky Grass-types (RC) while Seismitoad dispatches Ground- and Rock-types. Seismitoad also struggles against bulky Water-types such as Jellicent and Alomomola, so partners such as Virizion, Tangrowth, and Jolteon are great; (SC; don't put a comma between two independent sentences, add either a conjunction or a semicolon yes i just made this very error in this very sentence) the latter can also gain momentum with Volt Switch. Pokemon that can deter Defog and Rapid Spin users such as Togetic, Flygon, and Hitmonlee make for excellent partners; (SC) Braviary and Sneasel can take on Defog users, as Braviary can attain a +2 Attack boost with Defiant while Sneasel can easily damage them with its Ice-type STAB move, (comma) and Meloetta and Sigilyph can outspeed and OHKO Hitmonlee with their STAB Psychic. For a more defensive option, Aromatisse easily handles Hitmonlee and also provides Wish and Aromatherapy support. Durant gets a special mention, (AC) as it works very well with Seismitoad. Durant can take on Grass-types and severely weaken Seismitoad's defensive checks and counters such as Tangrowth and Jellicent, respectively. Seismitoad, in turn, beats Emboar and Mega Steelix, both of which wall Durant.

Stealth Rock is a great utility move, wearing wears down Seismitoad's opponents every time they switch in. Scald is used as a STAB move; however, its main priority is to burn Pokemon that attempt to switch in. Earth Power smacks Rock- and Poison-types such as Tyrantrum and Qwilfish. Earthquake can be used over Earth Power for a bit of extra damage and the ability to OHKO Delphox after Stealth Rock damage and Jolteon with full HP investment. (I guess?) Toxic is used to punish Grass-types or and walls such as Tangrowth and Jellicent. Knock Off can be used over Toxic to get rid of the foe's items while ensuring that Substitute + Calm Mind Meloetta cannot freely set up against Seismitoad.

Set Details
========

The EV spread is used to maximize Seismitoad's bulk, making it a great defensive Stealth Rock setter. A Bold nature boosts Seismitoad's Defense, (AC) but a Relaxed nature can be used if Seismitoad is running Earthquake and Knock Off in order to preserve its Attack. Leftovers is crucial, as it provides passive recovery, (AC) which this set absolutely needs. Rocky Helmet can be used over Leftovers to punish physical attackers such as Hitmonlee and Emboar, but the recovery provided by Leftovers is too good to pass up most of the time.

Usage Tips
========

This set works well on balanced or defensive teams. Players should switch Seismitoad into Water-type attacks so Seismitoad can gain health and a free switch. Seismitoad should be switching can also switch in against physical attackers that it can check reliably, such as Durant, Mega Steelix, Emboar, and Tyrantrum. After switching in, Seismitoad should set up Stealth Rock or spread burns with Scald. If you think that your opponent will bring in their Water- or Grass-type walls such as Alomomola or and Tangrowth, use Toxic in order to wear them down.

Team Options

This set detests status, so clerics such as Togetic, Aromatisse, and Roselia are much appreciated. Aromatisse is also able to provide Wish support to keep Seismitoad healthy and makes make it a more reliable wall. Furthermore, Pokemon that can absorb Toxic Spikes, such as Roselia and Amoonguss, are great partners as well. Both partners have great defensive synergy with Seismitoad; they can take on Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Virizion with ease, while Seismitoad handles Fire- and Steel-types such as Delphox and Mega Steelix, both of which annoy them. Roselia can also set up its own Spikes and Toxic Spikes, which work very well with Seismitoad's Stealth Rock. Specially defensive Pokemon such as Mega Steelix and Mega Audino benefit from Seismitoad's ability to beat powerful physical attackers such as Emboar and Durant (RC) while they take on Pokemon that give Seismitoad trouble, such as Rotom-C and Meloetta. Setup sweepers who that appreciate Stealth Rock support and/or (looks fugly and in pretty much all cases just one of these is sufficient; in this case they appreciate both these things so plain "and" is fine) status spreading from Scald and Toxic, respectively, such as Rock Polish Tyrantrum, Swords Dance Virizion, and Dragon Dance Scrafty, are also greatly appreciated. Venomoth in particular works very well with Seismitoad, as it appreciates Seismitoad's ability to weaken Fire- and Steel-types that can hurt Venomoth while it is setting up. In turn, Venomoth is able to deal with bulky Water-types and Grass-types, (AC) which greatly annoy Seismitoad.

Substitute allows Seismitoad to block status and eases (it's "Substitute eases prediction" as opposed to "Substitute allows Seismitoad to ease prediction" because it's really Sub that's doing that) prediction. Toxic is used to punish Grass-types or walls such as Tangrowth and Alomomola. Earth Power is used to heavily damage Steel- and Electric-types such as Mega Steelix and Jolteon. Sludge Bomb is Seismitoad's best coverage move, hitting Grass- and Fairy-types (RC) such as Tangrowth and Aromatisse (RC) very hard (RC) while doing a decent amount of damage to Virizion. Hydro Pump is an alternative to Sludge Bomb that can hit Bronzong and Sigilyph for a decent amount of damage; otherwise, the duo can wall Seismitoad.

Set Details

252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature ensure that Seismitoad can outspeed Jolly Tyrantrum, Adamant Hitmonlee, and Jolly Emboar. 8 HP EVs are invested so that Seismitoad can create four Substitutes instead of three. (why not just max out Special Attack and put the leftover EVs in Defense or Special Defense? Uninvested Seismitoad hits 351, which isn't divisible by 4) The rest of the EVs are placed in Special Attack to maximize damage output. Alternatively, a spread with 24 HP / 252 SpA / 232 Spe with a Modest nature can be used for more power while still being able to outspeed Jolly Scrafty, Adamant Tyrantrum, and Modest Samurott. Seismitoad can also use a spread consisting of 88 HP / 168 SpA / 252 Spe to ensure that Jellicent's Hex will not break Seismitoad's its Substitute. Finally, a spread consisting of 88 HP / 40 Def / 128 SpA / 252 Spe ensures that Bronzong's Earthquake will not break Seismitoad's Substitute in one hit, but Seismitoad will be noticeably weaker. Leftovers provide passive recovery to ensure that Seismitoad can stay healthy after making Substitutes. Water Absorb is Seismitoad's best ability, as it grants Seismitoad an immunity to Water-type moves along,(AC) along with the ability to heal itself if hit by one.

Usage Tips
========

Seismitoad is best utilized on offensive teams that are looking for a way to weaken bulky Water-types and stall teams. Seismitoad should try to be behind a Substitute as much as possible, as it is essential for players to keep Seismitoad away from status afflictions of any kind, as they deplete Seismitoad's longevity health. Furthermore, Seismitoad should be switched in against bulky Water-types such as Quagsire, Jellicent, and Alomomola for the chance of Water Absorb activating. After switching in, Seismitoad should proceed to Toxic stall them or set up Substitutes. Also Additionally, do not directly switch Seismitoad into Knock Off users, as they can remove its only form of passive recovery in Leftovers.

Team Options
========

Seismitoad is good at weakening bulky Water-types, so Pokemon who that appreciate this ability, such as Durant, Tyrantrum, and Mega Glalie, (AC) are great teammates, (AC) and the former two can set up and sweep late-game once Seismitoad weakens has weakened defensive Pokemon. Fire-types such as Fletchinder, Mega Camerupt, and Delphox also work well with Seismitoad, as they are able to take on Grass-types that can beat Seismitoad, while it can weaken bulky Water-types and Rock-types for them. Seismitoad also appreciates Defog and Rapid Spin users support from the likes of Flygon and Hitmonlee, as they can remove Toxic Spikes, (AC) which Seismitoad hates, as it can severely wear it Seismitoad down.

Seismitoad can run a Swift Swim sweeper set; however, weather isn't very viable in the RU metagame due to there being no the lack of a reliable way to induce weather it. Seismitoad can also carry an Assault Vest if extra Special Defense is needed. However, carrying an Assault Vest giving up the passive recovery from Leftovers would limit Seismitoad's longevity without passive recovery from Leftovers. Protect can be used to scout out the foe's moves. Grass Knot can be used as a surprise to do heavy damage to the likes of Gastrodon and opposing Seismitoad. Seismitoad run an interesting set in Substitute + Endeavor while carrying with a Salac Berry, (AC) Seismitoad would using Substitute and take enough damage for until Salac Berry to activate. After gaining the Speed boost Seismitoad would activates and then use using Endeavor to instantly bring down the foe's HP.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: (unbold these please) Grass-types such as Tangrowth, Virizion, Trevenant, and Rotom-C resist Seismitoad's STAB moves and easily OHKO it with their attacks. Virizion is able to set up a Swords Dance or Calm Mind on Seismitoad. It should be noted that these Grass-types except Trevenant have to be careful of Sludge Bomb, as it can 2HKO them. Roselia and Amoonguss, while they do not resist Earth Power or Earthquake, can easily live survive one and KO it Seismitoad with Giga Drain or force it to switch out. The former can set up Spikes and Toxic Spikes for its team, (AC) while the latter can put Seismitoad's other teammates to sleep with Spore on any predicted switch. Pokemon that carry Grass-type coverage, such as Energy Ball Sigilyph, Grass Knot Delphox, and Grass Knot Samurott, can easily knock out Seismitoad.

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers can easily 2HKO or OHKO any variants variant of Seismitoad. Choice Specs Meloetta, Life Orb Hitmonlee, Choice Band Gallade, Tyrantrum, and Mega Glalie are premier wallbreakers that can do the aforementioned role this (too close for "aforementioned" to be appropriate) with relative ease. Venomoth is able to set up Quiver Dances against Seismitoad, put it to sleep with Sleep Powder, and heavily damage it with Bug Buzz, (AC) which can pass through Seismitoad's Substitute, (AC) while living surviving a hit from full HP.

[OVERVIEW]

Seismitoad is a reliable Stealth Rock setter because of its decent all around bulk,(RC) and great defensive typing that lets it take on Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon such as Mega Steelix and Rhyperior. Its ability, Water Absorb, not only grants Seismitoad an immunity to Water-type attacks,(AC) but also somewhat makes up for its lack of reliable recovery. Seismitoad also has a great STAB combination,(AC) which, when used (that comma before "which" is definitely grammatically correct, but on second thought I think "that" is more appropriate than "which" here; "granting it amazing coverage that makes it one of the few bulky Water-types that can threaten Tangrowth" isn't an inherent trait of "having a great STAB combination", so "that" is preferred imo. Also, "using" a STAB combination really rubs me the wrong way, so I removed that bit too) in tandem with Sludge Bomb, lets grants it have amazing coverage that makes it one of the few bulky Water-types in the tier that can threaten Tangrowth, a threat in the current metagame (kinda subjective but either say something like "major threat" or remove that phrase). However, Seismitoad is 4x weak to the common Grass-types in the tier including Virizion,(RC) and Amoonguss. Additionally, Along with Seismitoad's has mediocre offensive stats, it also has along with a limited offensive movepool.

Stealth Rock is a utility move (these "X is a Y"-type phrases are generally considered filler and should therefore be removed unless they mention something extra... E.g. (hypothetically) "is a utility move unique to Seismitoad" would have been fine prosewise, but we know SR "is a utility move" so no point in keeping it) used to wear down the opposing team. Scald is Seismitoad's a fairly powerful STAB attack that has a good chance to burn the foe;. however, Hydro Pump can be used instead for extra power,(AC) but has a chance to miss. Earth Power is another (same here, changing "another" to "a secondary" adds some information regarding EP's role on this set and therefore makes the phrase worth keeping) STAB move to that can smash Steel- and Electric-types such as Mega Steelix (wouldn't you want to burn Steelix with Scald? Earth Power is only marginally more powerful) and Jolteon. Sludge Bomb has great coverage with Seismitoad's dual STAB moves, hitting Grass- and Fairy-types such as Tangrowth, Virizion, and Aromatisse hard. Icy Wind is also an option for Seismitoad to hit Flygon extremely hard.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-types such as Tangrowth, Virizion, Trevenant, and Rotom-C resist Seismitoad's dual STAB moves and easily OHKOes it with their attacks. Virizion is able to set up a Swords Dance or Calm Mind on Seismitoad. It should be noted that these Grass-types except Trevenant have to be careful of Sludge Bomb,(AC) as it can 2HKO them. Roselia and Amoonguss, while they do not resist Earth Power or Earthquake, can easily live (you can't "live" an attack, because "live" is intransitive, meaning it cannot take an object. You can "eat" a pizza, and you can "survive" an attack, but "live" falls in a different category of verbs) one and KO it with Giga Drain or force it to switch out. The former can set up Spikes and Toxic Spikes for its teams while (means "whereas" here so a comma would be fine) the latter can put Seismitoad's other teammates to sleep with Spore on any predicted switch. Pokemon that carry Grass-type coverage,(AC) such as Energy Ball Sigilyph, Grass Knot Delphox,(AC) (probable parallelism error here unless literally every Samurott carries GK; should either add "Grass Knot" before Samurott too or make it "Energy Ball Sigilyph and Grass Knot Delphox and Samurott", allowing GK to go with the two of them) and Samurott, can easily knock out Seismitoad.

**Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers can easily 2HKO or OHKO any variants of Seismitoad. Choice Specs Meloetta, Life Orb Hitmonlee, Choice Band Gallade, Tyrantrum, and Mega Glalie are premier wallbreakers that can do the aforementioned ("aforementioned" is another one that people have trouble using properly; it's fine to use it if you know what you're doing, but you cannot have it refer to something mentioned literally the previous sentence) role with relative ease. Venomoth is able to set up Quiver Dances against Seismitoad,(AC) or put it to sleep with Sleep Powder,(AC) and heavily damage it with Bug Buzz which can pass through Seismitoad's Substitute while living a hit from full HP.

**Residual Damage**: Because Seismitoad lacks a form of reliable recovery, it is very susceptible to status and hazards. Toxic and burn can easily put Seismitoad on a timer,(AC) while Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Toxic Spikes can wear it down every time it comes in.
Unun, I've left a bunch of hopefully helpful notes throughout your check, so be sure to read over these + whatever notes I left in the main check :] I'm kind of in a hurry now, so some of these comments may be a bit rushed and therefore hard to make sense of, so be sure to hmu if you've got any questions!

[Overview]

Seismitoad is a reliable Stealth Rock setter because of its decent all-around bulk, (AC) and its this is to keep 'that lets it take on' be linked only to typing great defensive typing that lets it take on Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon such as Mega Steelix and Rhyperior. Its ability, Water Absorb, not only grants Seismitoad an immunity to Water-type attacks but also somewhat makes up for its lack of reliable recovery. Seismitoad also has a great STAB combination that in tandem with Sludge Bomb grants it amazing coverage, (AC) which that makes it one of the few bulky Water-types in the tier that can threaten Tangrowth, a major threat. However, Seismitoad is 4x weak to the common Grass-types in the tier including Virizion and Amoonguss. Additionally, Seismitoad has mediocre offensive stats along with a limited offensive movepool.

Moves
========

Stealth Rock helps wear down the opposing team. Scald is a fairly powerful STAB attack that has Seismitoad's most reliable attack, with a good chance to burn the foe. However, Hydro Pump can be used instead for extra power, but it has a chance to miss. Earth Power is a secondary STAB move that can smash Steel- and Electric-types such as Mega Steelix and Jolteon. Sludge Bomb has great coverage with Seismitoad's STAB moves, hitting Grass- and Fairy-types such as Tangrowth, Virizion, and Aromatisse hard. Icy Wind is also an option to hit Flygon extremely hard.

Set Details
========

Leftovers provides passive recovery, allowing Seismitoad to check Emboar and Durant more effectively; however, Life Orb can be used instead if Hydro Pump is used, as it amplifies Seismitoad's damage output and allows it Seismitoad to potentially 2HKO Virizion and Aromatisse with Sludge Bomb. Life Orb is recommended mainly for the Seismitoad that run Speed investment, as the recoil from it will reduce Seismitoad's longevity, (AC) hindering defensive sets. Water Absorb is Seismitoad's best ability, as it grants Seismitoad an immunity to Water-type moves.

Usage Tips
========

Seismitoad fits well on offensive or bulky offensive teams, because it is an offensive Stealth Rock setter that has the bulk to blanket check many threats in RU such as Rhyperior, Durant, and Mega Steelix. Players should pivot Seismitoad into a Water-type attack to gain health and a free switch momentum.

========

(period) Braviary and Sneasel can take on Defog users; (SC) as I think this works a little bit nicer. This sentence was getting long and "as...while" is pretty odd Braviary can attain a +2 Attack boost with Defiant while Sneasel can easily damage them with its Ice-type STAB move, and Meloetta and Sigilyph can outspeed and OHKO Hitmonlee with their STAB Psychic. For a more defensive option, Aromatisse easily handles Hitmonlee and also provides Wish and Aromatherapy support. Durant gets a special mention, as it works very well with Seismitoad. Durant can take on Grass-types and severely weaken Seismitoad's defensive checks and counters such as Tangrowth and Jellicent. Seismitoad, in turn, beats Emboar and Mega Steelix, both of which wall Durant.

Moves
========

Stealth Rock wears down Seismitoad's opponents every time they switch in. Scald's is used as a STAB move; however, its main priority is to burn Pokemon that attempt to switch in. Knock Off can be used over Toxic to get rid of the foe's foes' items while ensuring that Substitute + Calm Mind Meloetta cannot freely set up against Seismitoad.

Set Details
========

Rocky Helmet can be used over Leftovers to punish physical attackers such as Hitmonlee and Emboar, but the recovery provided by Leftovers is too good to pass up most of the time without additional healing support. This is something I think would be nice to throw in; use it if you please!

Usage Tips
========

========

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

========

=============

Protect can be used to scout out the foe's moves and stall for Toxic damage. perhaps? Grass Knot can be used as a surprise to do heavy damage to the likes of Gastrodon and opposing Seismitoad. Seismitoad run an interesting set in Substitute + Endeavor with a Salac Berry, using Substitute until Salac Berry activates and then using Endeavor to instantly bring down the foe's HP.

Checks and Counters
===================
