Ubers Rule:
Each type has an Ubers list. You may only use one of those Pokemon per match. NOTE: This would mean that you can only send in 1 mon from that list per match.
Special Rule: Pokemon are equipped on send-in, similar to how Anime-Style Simulator challenges work.
Special Rule #2: The Gym League rules on Megas is in effect. A mega may be used as long as it shares a type with the gym. Pokemon that mega evolve into a Pokemon with the right type can only be used in their mega evolved form, and enter the field mega evolved (see: Mega Lopunny in Fighting). Pokemon that lose the proper type on mega evolution may not be used (see: Mega Aggron in Rock).
Special Rule #3: Silvally can be used, but it must hold the Memory associated with the typing of the team, unless you are Normal, in which case, you cannot use a Memory. Silvally will be immune to any item-changing/removing effect if it is holding a Memory item, and Knock Off will get a boosted BAP against a Silvally holding a Memory.

Team TheBisharpKing

Honchkrow [M] [Jeepers]
Nature: Jolly
Type: Dark/Flying

[Abilities]
Insomnia (Passive)
This Pokemon is immune to sleep induced by other Pokemon. Its normal state of sleeplessness makes it take 1 less damage and energy/action from Ghost Curse. If it is put to sleep by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker, it will wake up the next action. If a Pokemon with Insomnia also has Vital Spirit, its Attack and BRT are increased by one (1) Rank and its accuracy is raised by one (1) stage permanently.

Super Luck (Passive)
This Pokemon's natural skill increases its critical hit levels one stage above other Pokemon, making its normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and its high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 50% of the time.

Moxie (Passive) [Hidden]
This Pokemon gets psyched after it earns a KO on an opposing Pokemon, increasing its Attack (and adjust the natural stage) by one (1) stage.

Muk-A [M] [KUM]
Nature: Brave
Type: Poison/Dark

[Abilities]
Poison Touch (Toggle)
By default, this Pokemon's body is covered with a film of poison. Whenever it hits an opponent with a contact attack, that opponent has a 30% chance of being Poisoned. When toggled, this Pokemon's natural toxins are more potent. As a result, all of this Pokemon's attacks that inflict regular poison will inflict Toxic poison instead (with the same chance of effect). If Poison Touch is toggled and Poison Point is on its default effect, contact attacks will trigger a 30% Toxic chance.

Gluttony (Passive)
This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat). It also regains three (3) HP per action when holding Leftovers.

Power of Alchemy (Trigger) [Unlocked]
When this Pokémon is sent out, it can expend six (6) EN to use its molecular composition to absorb an ability of a fainted ally, replacing this ability with the chosen. If in a multiple battle an ally faints while this Pokémon is active, at the start of the next round: it can expend six (6) EN to use its molecular composition to absorb one ability of the fainted ally, replacing this ability with the chosen.

Command: Activate Power of Alchemy - 5 En - Replace Power of Alchemy with the ability of a fainted ally for six (6) actions.

[Abilities]
Rough Skin (Passive)
When struck with a contact attack, this Pokemon's abrasive skin causes pain to the opponent, dealing 25% of the damage received to the opponent.

Speed Boost (Passive) [Unlocked]
Pokemon with this ability increase their speed as the battle progresses, boosting it one (1) stage at the end of each round at the cost of 2% of their energy. This overrides the normal drop in stats that occurs at the end of each round (stats other than Speed are still affected).

Strong Jaw (Passive) [Mega]
This Pokemon's massive jaws give it incredibly powerful biting attacks, increasing the BAP of all biting attacks by three (3) BAP. Full List: Bite, Bug Bite, Crunch, Fire Fang, Hyper Fang, Ice Fang, Poison Fang, Thunder Fang.

Protean (Toggle) [Unlocked]
By default, this Pokemon switches their type before striking with each damaging attack to match the attack they are about to use, and keep that type until another damaging move is used. The energy cost for the attack is calculated based on their type before using the move. When toggled, the Pokemon reverts back to their natural typing. Hello, my friends, and welcome to this Monotype match between Maxim and TheBisharpKing. I am your host and ref, Zarator, and I will attempt to provide thoughtful commentary throughout the match. The type matchup in itself looks quite balanced at first sight. Steel and Dark are neutral against each other since gen 6, and both type pack an average amount of tricks and offensive potential. It will thus come down to the specific matchups we can expect as the battle progresses.

On Maxim's side, Mawile looks like the best MVP candidate. His incredible power and Fairy STAB can hit just about any of TBK's mons surprisingly hard. Not even A-Muk's Fire Blast hits as hard as Mawile's STABs, which is as frightening as it sounds. Furthermore, while Mawile does not necessarily look like a trickster mon, his access to Taunt, Pain Split, Snatch, Torment, Counter, and other moves is granted to put a lot of pressure on TBK's substitutions, with only the mediocre 50 speed holding him back. On the other hand, Metagross does not sound like a particularly reliable pick in this match. With the exception of Honchkrow, all the rest of TBK's squad seems perfectly capable of damaging race it and, short of Explosion, damaging races are all Metagross is good at.

On TBK's side, on the other hand, it is a bit harder to single out a specific, major threat, as every single Pokemon he brought is equally threatening. Sharpedo in particular packs a huge power, thanks to its Mega Evolution's access to Strong Jaw. While it has scant chances to coming on top in a 1v1 against Mawile, the rest of Maxim's squad is in a very dire spot against the shark. Furthermore, Muk's Power of Alchemy should not be underestimated, with several good picks available from his team mates. And by now, we all know what Greninja is capable of. In comparison, Honckrow does feel a bit less reliable, partly because of a physically oriented set up which matches up poorly against Maxim's tough squad.

But then again, the battle flow could change many of these assessments in both ways. So, without further ado, let us get down to business.

Maxim takes advantage of a hole in TheBisharpKing's substitutions, as the former's Empoleon suddenly outpaces the latter's Sharpedo and forces the other to employ a resisted Dive to little effect. However, Maxim's advantage is not as solid as his course of action would suggest. His opening move, in fact, forces his Empoleon to eat an Earthquake. And the combination of Rough Skin and Sharpedo's Dive damage (surprisingly decent, for a resisted move) take a toll on the Sinnoh starter.

Ultimately, HP values even out (roughly) at the end of the round, but Sharpedo's Speed Boost give him the edge over Empoleon once again. This time, however, it is Maxim who has to order first. This means that he cannot avoid suffering major damage from the foe's Sharpedo anymore, but it also gives him an opportunity to switch out. None of Maxim's other Pokemon are easy switch ins to Sharpedo, and even if Sharpedo is already worn out, it is unlikely any of his bench mons could take it out on first order without suffering crippling damage. On the other hand, though, TheBisharpKing would have to weight the consequences of sacrificing his best Pokemon early in the match, versus a not-so-easy counterswitch which would once again force him to order first.

With no clearly superior course of action on the horizon, only time will tell how this match pans out.

TBK takes advantage of a significant hole in Maxim's orders for the round and neutralizes Empoleon's offense, allowing his Sharpedo to finish off the foe with minimal losses.

Maxim is now in quite a difficult spot. Both Aggron and Metagross take supereffective damage from Sharpedo's assaults. Truth to be told, Aggron doesn't take excessive damage, even from the shark's STAB, due to its massive defenses, and can race it with moves such as Head Smash. Mawile would obviously manage to finish off Sharpedo, as well, but with the rest of TBK's squad still in top shape, one can wonder if Maxim can afford to let his Mawile be worn out this early.

Nevertheless, it is too early to predict the outcome of this match, and many surprises still lie down the road. Stay tuned!

The damage race looks pretty even, but a critical miss on the Aggron's part might cost Maxim this matchup. What's worse, Maxim does not really have many options left to turn the tables, and he still has to score a KO in this game.
