I think this would make a little more sense coloured, as right now it doesn't look terribly grass or poisony, but the tail was supposed to be like stalks of wheat.
I tried to make the mouth like the lip of a nut or seed, so that the whole body would be one big seed-thing, but I don't think that comes across very well! I thought the fins were a little redundant, too, so I ran the poison lines over those, but now I can think of better replacements for them.
