I was very happy after achieving my goal of becoming Pokémon League Champion. I was however; reluctant to enter Kanto has my comrades who had died so that I could achieve my dream weighed heavily on my mind. It took Lance himself to coax me out of my home and onto the boat to Kanto. I crushed a few trainers and when the boat left it took all of my willpower to step of the boat. I had no wish to challenge the Gym in Vermillion City and instead headed into Cerulean City. Once I had arrived I discovered that there were issues with the Power Plant. With nothing better to do as I still wanted to avoid battling at all cost I headed over there. As I entered the Plant I short fat man was raging at everyone present. I simply stood in the doorway and soon discovered what was going one as he was screaming it from his lungs. It turned out that somebody had stolen and important piece of equipment from this machine which was causing huge blackouts everywhere. Shrugging my shoulders I turned to go before a Security guard put his hand on my shoulder and stopped me. I turned around and looked at him. He was pretty sexy and I felt like I needed a diversion to keep me interested. I was debating to give him my phone number (my Private phone number that is) when he finally worked up the courage to speak. "You are Kate right?” He asked.
“Yup” I relied and gave him a dazzling smile.
“Um we would kind of like you to check on a weird character in Cerulean Gym for us” he stammered.
“What’s in it for me?” I ask. I take the opportunity to step a little closer toward him. Please be a date with you I plead silently in my head.
“Um… personal satisfaction for running an errand for us?” he answered back giving me a winning smile.
Fuck. I storm out the door; I would show him I seethed quietly. I would win the league and… Oh right, I had already done that, Sheesh, what does it take to impress people nowadays?
I barge into the Gym and a man in black crashes into me. I hit the ground hard but manage to graph his lag and drag him down. “Alright what are you doing?” I threaten. The man wriggles before throwing out a pokeball. I sigh. A few Seconds later Inferno is snarling at this weird man while he trembles on the ground. I dust myself off. “You better tell me…” I begin before he cuts me off. “The inner tube in the gym” he shrieks. I stand over him and debate what to do with this crook “let me go” he pleads. I let out another sigh and nod at Inferno. The man gets up and runs away muttering that he would make Team Rocket strong. Privately I don’t he has a chance in hell of resurrecting Team Rocket a third time but I don’t really care. I find the missing part in the Gym and had it over to the Director of the Power Plant. He acts even more demented, snatching it off me. My good deed done I leave and decide to visit Lavender Town. Mainly because it has a pokemon graveyard there and I want to pay my respects. I spend a lot of time in Lavender town just reflecting before I travel to Pewter City catching a Snorlax on the way (Sumo). I still avoid the Gyms as I have no inclination to battle. I walk to Mount Moon after a local informing me that Clefairy dance in the moonlight tonight. I decide to check it out and enter Mount Moon. To my shock I encounter my Red Hared ‘wonder boy.”
“Ah” he says when he catches sight of me”. “Let’s do it” I say in a bored tone eager to get this over with. The battle was short and my newly evolved Staraptor that I had evolved from a Starly caught in Pewter City, made short work of his team. “Darn” he states after his demise is carried out. “I may as well train at the Dragons Den”. Curious I start to ask why but he dashes out of the cave. I am surprised at his change in behaviour. He seems to have changed his battling style and seems to have changed his attitude. I also realise that his Golbat has evolved into a Crobat. Perhaps this means that he has finally changed? Eager to find out the truth I decide to follow him into the Dragons Den. I Fly to Blackthorn and decide to show the Elder at the shrine my Dragonite, evolved from the Dratini he gave me. I enter the shrine and my Rival sees me. I open my mouth to say something before I am interrupted. Clair and Lance both enter the shrine as well. Lance looks…different. Much more confident and Clair looks the same. “Welcome” Lance says before he notices my Rival who is looking (weirdly) nervous. “What are you doing here?” Lance and Clair ask at the same time. Both look furious but I feel a rush of sympathy towards Matt and decide to stick up for him. “He has changed” I state “and to prove it we will have a double battle against you”. Both Lance and Clair look surprised before smirking at us. “Kate please leave us, this boy has stolen a pokemon and treated it poorly, as punishment both Clair and I will crush him and hand him over to the police”.
“NO” I shout back at him. “Ivy lets do this” I cry and in a flash my partner appears at my side. Lance narrows his eyes. “Fine” he states. Clair sends out a Dragonair while Lance calls forth his Gyarados. Matt sends out his Typlosion. It’s a poor match up for him but I don’t say anything. We need to work together to win this. Lance’s Gyarados is much stronger than it was when I last faced it and I am beginning to doubt that I can hold off both Lance and Clair.
Ivy sends up a Reflect but Lance orders a waterfall from Gyarados which KO’s Typlosion. Clair’s Dragonair lets loose an electric blast, paralysing Ivy. “Sorry” Matt says to me before sending out a Gengar. I grit my teeth. We are already one down and Lance and Clair are unharmed. Both Matt and I launch attacks at Gyarados with Body slams from Ivy and a Shadow Ball from Rival finishing it. In the process however, Ivy is hurt having survived a Flamethrower from a Dragonair and an Ice Fang from Gyarados. Matt also finishes of Dragonair as well with Gengar. Clair sends out her Kingdra while Lance gives me an evil smile before sending out his Dragonite. It’s incredibly strong and this time I don’t have Mammoswine to save me. I realise that something has to die. “Lapris go” I shout out as a Dragon Meteor slams into it, killing it instantly. I fight to control myself as I realise that I have just lost another friend. “Altaria” I cry. Altaria is a new addition to my party having evolved from a Swablu that had swarming in Kanto. “Use Draco Meteor” I order but to my shock Lance orders a second Meteor and Altaria falls to the ground. Dead. I looked on in horror at to of my friends dead in the time it takes to tie a shoelace. Matt’s Gengar also falls to Clair’s Kingdra. Both me and Rival have only one more pokemon that we can send out while Clair and Lance have 1 more pokemon each ready to stop us. I fall to my knees and start to sob. The Matt touches my shoulder. “Its O.K Kate” he says in a tone of complete understanding. “it’s OK” he says again. “We can beat them don’t give up Kate, please don’t give up.”
I am shocked by his tone of voice and at how much he has changed. The something amazing happens. I see a pale Gyarados next to me, not just any Gyarados though, my Gyarados, the one that had perished to Claire so long ago. It did not say anything but it did not need to. I remembered the hardship I had faced and knew I could do this. I stagger to my feet. Matt looks at me gratefully. I still feel sad but I quash the feeling. “Tempest” I shout out and Lance looks on in shock. Having never used it in our league battles before he was unaware that my strongest pokemon was a Dragonite of my own. Matt smiles and sends out a Crobat. “Draco Meteor” I cry out and Tempest blasts Kingdra with a Meteor of its own. Lance orders another Draco Meteor which Tempest dodges while Matts Crobat fires off a Confuse Ray at Lance’s Dragonite, confusing it. Clair sends out a Dragonite of her own, confident in her victory. “Tempest Outrage” I order and Tempest blasts Clair’s Dragonite into the dirt. Clair falls to the ground, she is out of pokemon and it is up to Lance to take down both Crobat and Tempest. Lance orders another Draco Meteor but his Dragonite is hurt in the confusion. With luck now on our side Tempest prepares for a second Outrage before Lances Dragonite regains focus. “End this” Lance cries. His Dragonite fires off another Draco Meteor. It slams into my Dragonite, the smoke clears…and my Dragonite is still standing. The Meteor had only taken off a third of its health. Tempest Outrages again continuing its murderous rampage through Lances Team. Lance sends out Charizard. He knows that he may have lost but he does not care anymore, he just wants to defeat Tempest in revenge for what it’s done. “Air Slash” he cries out. A blade of Air slams into Tempest. It falls to the ground before struggling to its feet and Outrages a third time. Charizard survives however and Lance experiences a split second of hope before Matt extinguishes it with a Sludge Bomb from Crobat. The battle is over. Lance looks furious but does not say a word. He stalks out while Clair follows suit. Matt hugs me “Thanks so much” he says. I give him a sad smile in return and we stand there kind of awkwardly for a few moments. “You need to go home” he tells me and I agree. He walks me back to New Bark Town and we stop outside my house.
“What are you going to do?” I ask him.
“I think I’ll apologise to Elm for taking his pokemon” he tells me. “I’ll show him that I cared for it though he continues, “and maybe he lets me continue to keep it” I smile slightly and we stand there, outside my house.
“You should not give up gym battling you know” he tells me, “You are perhaps the best battler there is and your pokemon will want you to keep it going if you win the gym badges, you can get revenge on Lance and become the strongest trainer in the world, then perhaps you can think about stopping, but, for now, please keep fighting Kate, please.”
I don’t really have anything to say to that so I just shut up and turn to go.
“Love you” he finally says before dashing away.
I freeze and consider ordering Tempest to Draco Meteor his arse but I don’t have the strength to chase after him but I vow that I will kill him after I recover. I walk into my home and rest for a while reflecting what had occurred.
After a few weeks I realised that matt was right and I entered Kanto with grim purpose. Ivy destroyed Brock and Misty giving me my first Kanto gym badges. Mammoswine destroyed Surge while my Drapion which I had evolved from a Skorupi crushed Sabrina. Staraptor and Arcanine beat Erika and while it took a team effort to win against Janine. Blane was beaten by my Floatzel and before long I was standing in the 8th Gym. Blue stood before me and we made out moves. My Floatzel faced off against his Arcanine. I blasted off a Surf while Blue retaliated with 2 Flare Blitzes. Floatzel wavered before falling to the ground. I suddenly realised what had happened. Arcanine had hit Floatzel in its weak spot and the damage had taken its toll. Blues arcanine also collapsed as well, the damage too much for it. Enraged I carried on and Finished of Blue quickly. It was too late to save Floatzel though. I was upset but knew I had to carry on as the Elite 4 were so close. I buried Floatzel in Lavender Town and Mr Fuji helped me.
My last stop was the trainer house. Cal I knew from others was a very strong player. I started off with Drapion against his Megainium. Drapion unleashed a few blows which were cancelled out due to Megainium leach seeding and Protecting. It also began unleashing Energy Balls which, combined with the poison damage began to take its toll on Drapion. Punisher made its entrance Slamming into Megainium with its Horn. Typlosion tried to even things up by Arcanine rendered its fire attacks useless. It survived a Focus Blast before using its extreme speed to finish it off. Feraligatr was Cals last and it threatened Arcanine I was forced to go to Megainium. I ordered a Reflect while Feraligatr did a frantic dance increasing its speed and power. Ivy proved strong though as it survived and shrugged off an Ice Punch and finished the battle with a Frenzy Plant.

With the burial done I returned to the Indigo Plateau to crush the Elite 4 for the last time. With my strongest team in place I proceeded to rip apart Bruno, Will, Koga and Karian. By pokemon were untouchable and so much stronger than they hade been before. Everything we practised had paid off and with Lance to go I was ready. Lance sent out a Salamence which immediately put me on the back foot. My own Tempest had grown much stronger but Salamence was faster and landed a flurry of blows. I ordered a Draco Meteor but Salamence dodged. In trouble of losing Tempest I was forced into sending out Chaos. Chaos demolished Salamence, Altaria and Charizard while Tempest finished off Garchomp. My Luxray, Terabyte killed Gyarados with a Discharge and Snowy was ready for Lances Dragonite. Snowy used Ice Shard and Lance smirked. His Dragonite survived and laid waste to snowy and Chaos was forced to end the battle with Ice Fang. I honoured Snow by burying him on the Indigo Plateau grounds. After the service I turned for home only to recive a phone call from Professor Oak. “Kate” he said eagerly, “I thnk its time for you to seek out Red in Mount Silver, he is the strongest trainer ever and is your last challenge”. I terminated the Call, my journey was almost over, it was time to finish Red, the last trainer standing in my way….

Any that’s it folks. May update soon with the finale vs Kate and Red. I did play the Safari Zone a visit and used the special items to get Luxray and Floatzel. I eventually decided that I needed an Electric pokemon and so I picked Luxray. Am really guttered that Altaria died as it was kind a waste of time levelling it up for a swablu. Also I have done some extreme training so all the hard yards are done, just need to beat Red now.

Anyway the Team.

I HAVE COME HERE TO TAKE THE CHALLENGE

platinum. is there anything else I need to start my challenge?

EDIT : I'm using kitten's rules, and the fainted pokemon will be put into the box rather than freed for competitive purposes (my first plat run)

Salamence Better stay OU... the end. Time for,

Detroitlolcat's Leafgreen Nuzlocke Challenge!
Part 7: The Battle of Mt. Moon

Red, the color of impending doom. Bolt the Pikachu's health was in the red, and it wasn't a long hike to the Pokemon Center. Lolcat thought to himself
"Should I go back? Bolt really needs the healing, but then what? He's just going to need more and more... Fine. I'll heal him, but he needs to start pulling his own weight."
Bolt was probably Lolcat's weakest Pokemon (besides Floppy), thought rattata was weak as well, but at least he knew Hyper Fang. The only thing Bolt could do is paralyze things and fry Zubats, and Bugsy could do that anyway with Stun Spore and Confusion. Either way, Lolcat trudged backward to the Pokemon Center, killing many a Zubat on the way.

ONE HEAL LATER

Lolcat enters Mt. Moon a fourth time, this time the (expected) last, realizing that dying here would end the Nuzlocke Challenge and force him to start over :(. After frying too many Zubats, Bolt finally levels up and learns Double Team, though he immediately forgets it. Hax wars are NOT suggested on a Nuzlocke run... Lolcat quickly returns to the ladder that he didn't take in Part 6, and decides to climb down it this time...

A short, wide passage greets Lolcat, with a lone ladder descending further into the Mountain.

After descending from the ladder, Lolcat stepped into a large cavern, approximately four feet from another black-cloaked man much like the one in Part 6. Lolcat stepped in front of the man and turned toward the rock staircase when the man began to speak.
"We're pulling a big job here (that's what she said). Get lost, kid!"

The strange man threw out a Zubat, and Kitteh the Wartortle met it with a Water Gun. Zubat used Astonish, but Kitteh shrugged off the attack and finished it off with a Tackle. The man used an Ekans next, but it fell to another Water Gun+ Tackle combo.
"So, you are good..." said the man, handing over 352 pokedollars "If you find a fossil, give it to me and scram!"
Lolcat thought about why the strange man wanted a fossil, as everyone in Kanto knew that fossils were unprofitable. Lolcat examines a nearby rock and finds an Ether in it, and then proceeds up that staircase. At the top of the stairs was a TM for Thief, a completely useless move.
Lolcat goes up the ladder he came down in, reentering the short, wide passage and going up yet another ladder
Back at the ground floor, Lolcat moves to the location where he ended Part Six and is immediately challenged by a Hiker. Lolcat dispatches his Geodude with one Water Gun, and the other Geodude with one more Water Gun. Onix died to one Water Gun. Kitteh almost gained two levels. In the back of the cave, Lolcat found a Moon Stone and then proceeded down the last ladder in the floor.
Another long, narrow passage (much like the one in Part 6, sorry about all the previous part references) is at the bottom of the ladder. Lolcat treads slowly down the hall, listening to the cries of Zubat, and then he turns right, where he finds a lone ladder leading to the second underground floor.
Lolcat enters a large room, with the passage splitting both straight and to the right. The right path seems more appealing, so Lolcat moves to the right and down a small stone staircase, killing some Zubat and a Clefairy. Lolcat sees that the stone stairs lead to a small depression and another set of stairs, leading upwards. But between the depression and the stairs stood another black-garbed man.
"Little kids shouldn't be messing around with grown-ups! It could be bad news!", said the man, letting loose a Rattata. Lolcat responded with his own Rattata, killing the other Rat with a Hyper Fang and taking a Quick Attack. The mystery man also had a Sandshrew, which died to a critical Hyper Fang.
"I'm steamed!" cried the mystery man as he admits defeat.
"If these guys are a bunch of fossil nuts who came here to harass children, then they should have the Pokemon to back it up", thought Lolcat. "I should call these guys team Fossil Pedos"
Lolcat headed out of the depression and up the stairs, and immediatel made a U-turn to follow the winding path. The path headed far south, and then winded east without a person in sight. Oh, and Kitteh and Rattata leveled up. The path became narrower and longer, until it widened and Lolcat headed north. Bugsy got paralyzed and got critted by a Paras. Alas, the narrow circular pathway drew to a close, and a lone Team PedoFossil grunt stood in the passage between two rock shelves.
"We, Team Rocket, will find teh fossils! Reviving Pokemon from them will earn us huge riches!" said the Pedo...err...Rocket(?) Grunt. Uhh...either way, he used a Rattata which died to Kitteh and a Zubat which fell to Bugsy. Bugsy now only has 1/2 health... Lolcat found another Moon Stone :D. Well, this is the end of the road, the only thing between Lolcat and the Fossils is a kinda weird nerd guy. Lolcat bravely steps up a stone staircase and challenges him.

Nerd sent out a Grimer and Lolcat met it with Bugsy. Grimer launched a Disable, but it didn't affect Bugsy, while Bugsy couldn't move due to paralysis. Grimer Pounds Bugsy and Bugsy retaliates with a Confusion. Both pokemon were in the yellow. Grimer fails to Disable Bugsy and Bugsy finishes off the sludge pile with another Confusion. The Nerd sent out a Voltorb, which Bugsy couldn't kill in it's current state.
"Return! Go, Bolt!" cried Lolcat, as the Voltorb used Tackle (got a critical, too). Bolt launches a Thunder wave as he dodges an attack. Bolt Tail Whips the Voltorb as the Voltorb stands motionless. Bolt goes on the offensive with a Quick Attach as the Voltorb lets loose a Screech. Voltorb takes a second Quick Attack and Screeches. A third Quick Attack sealed Voltorb's fate. The Nerd unleashes his final Pokemon, a Smogon (or Koffing). After hearing Voltorb's Screech, Bolt knew that he couldn't face the mighty Smogon, but a near-full-health Wartortle could. After eating a Tackle, Wartortle responds with a Water Gun, which almost killed the Koffing. Then, the unthinkable happened.
Koffing.
Used.

Poison Gas

Kitteh, now in critical condition, finished off the Koffing with a Water Gun and Lolcat prayed to God that Wartortle could reach Cerulean City before losing 32 health. (Wartortle knows bite, which could kill Misty's Starmie)

The chips were down. Lolcat's starter Pokemon was thrust into a cruel race against time in order to get to Cerulean before losing 32 HP. Lolcat scurried to the ladder after picking up the Helix Fossil and running from some Pokemon.

This is gonna be a damn hard challenge...

Here it is, part one of my challenge!
I kinda fused the beginings of Plat and DP but regardless I'm still doing Platinum. I drew it on paper first and then traced it MS Paint style. I'll add part 2 soon!

JarardosNuzlockeChallengePart1.jpg

At the end of my last session, here is my current team:
Saur the Venusaur
Funky the Primeape
Nessy the Lapras
Aquila the Pidgeot
PinCushion the Beedrill

In Box:
Purrfect the Meowth
Macho the Machop
Eve the Eevee
Lax the Snorlax
PoisonKing the Nidoran
Torpedo the Horsea
Legs the Hitmonlee
Butterkill the Butterfree
Voltz the Raichu

Deceased:
R.I.P Solid the Ekans
R.I.P Diggit the Diglett
R.I.P Ze Bat the Zubat
R.I.P Gardie the Growlithe

Now for my battle with Blaine, I revived and levelled up my two fossil pokemon, Omi the Omanyte and Aero the Aerodactyl

I went through the pokemon mansion and caught Joey the Ratacate (Who, in fairness, probably won't be used.). We unlocked the gym door and went inside.

My Team:

Nessy the Lapras
Aero the Aerodactyl
Omi the Omanyte
Aquila the Pidgeot
Funky the Primeape
Voltz the Raichu (Now with Dig!)

Aero was able to take out his Growlithe with Ancientpower, but got K.O.ed by his Arcanine. I sent out Omi but he too got K.O.ed (Two pokemon in two turns... not good.)

Nessy managed to finally take it out with Surf. She then managed to take out his Ponyta. Then came an even bigger problem. That Rapadash is a beast. It heavily injured Nessy, so I had to pull her out.

Voltz was already injured by Arcanine, so I sent out Funky... who didn't last long. I had only one hope. You’re my only hope, Aquila! I sent him out and started to spam Fly.

Then Blaine used a Hyper Potion... yayz -_-. Aquila managed to take out, but none of my pokemon were in good shape.

After that, I got abducted by Bill, who took me to the Sevii Islands. There none of the PCs worked!!!! I had to carry around two dead pokemon for some time!

R.I.P - Aero the Aerodactyl (Male) Levels 5 to 37 (Man all that grinding going to waste...)
R.I.P - Omi the Omanyte (Male) Levels 5 to 37

Now for Island 3, I used my dream team:
Saur the Venusaur
Funky the Primeape
Nessy the Lapras
Aquila the Pidgeot
Butterkill the Butterfree
Voltz the Raichu

We managed to save Lostelle and caught Disco the Hypno (Level 30) (Female)

Now on to Viridian Gym. "We're on the road to Viridian City!"

Our dream team walked through the Gym.

Names were taken.

VS. Giovanni - I used only one Pokemon. Saur the Venusaur. Man I never realised what a beast he is! He took Earthquakes in his stride! Also I gave him leftovers, but still!!

Now I have to create a final team. The team I am going to take to the Indigo Plateau! I was think about bringing the dream team with me, but you can put in you own suggestions. I have quite a few TMs. So here are the Stats!

LITTLEBATTLER PRESENTS
A Nuzlocke Adventure.

Van, the Pokemon Trainer.

PROLOGUE

"... And so, that concludes our show for today, thank you for watching" the TV said.
Van just finished watching that special episode on Pokemon, starring Prof. Rowan. As he stands up from his seat, his friend QB suddenly barged into the room, surprising him and made him fell back down.

QB, enthusiastic as usual, or perhaps jumpy? Meh... "Hey, let's get to Sandgem town and meet Prof. Rowan. He'll give us some pokemon! The last one gets fined 10 million!" he said before rushing back down the stairs. Van shrugged. What could possibly go wrong? he thought as he steps down the stairs to his living room.

"Mom, I'm going out now." Van said to his mother.
"Okay, but stay out of the tall grass. You know it's dangerous to go in without a pokemon. Wild pokemon can ambush you"

Van thinks for a second. If he recalled correctly, the route to Sandgem has quite a lot of tall grass. Meh... perhaps QB has found another way. Van then made his way to QB's house and into QB's room, where he saw QB packing his stuff. "Yo Van! You're slow! Remember, the last one get's fined 10 billion!"
"Are you not mistaking million with bill-" Van tried to interrupt but QB barged through him, leaving him in his room. "Ah whatever..." Van said as he makes his way out of QB's house, and out of Twinleaf as well, where QB is waiting, just right in front of a patch of tall grass.

"Too slow!"
"You're the one who needs to calm down a little" Van replied calmly. "Anyway... we can't get to the tall grass you know. Wild pokemon's gonna ambush us."
"It's easy." QB stated, his voice full of confidence.
"What are you planning?" Van asked curiously.
"We'll dash through the grass so fast that no pokemon can catch up on us!"
"YOU ARE MAD!"
"Come on... at the count of three... one... two..."

"HOLD IT!" a voice yelled from behind the boys back.
QB tripped and fell down to the ground, while Van turned back to find an old man, the same one as the one he just saw on TV. Professor Rowan.

"What are you kids trying to do, going into tall grass without a pokemon of your own."
"Err..."
"I wonder what will these irresponsible kids do if they were ever to be given pokemon of their own. I can't imagine what they will do..."
"Sorry sir, but it was me who dragged Van into this. Everything is my idea." QB confessed.

"Oh... how valiant of you... DO YOU THINK THAT WOULD CHANGE MY OPINION ABOUT YOU?!"

QB and Van panicked and scowled, but Prof Rowan laughed instead.

"Of course yes. Now... where could that suitcase be..."
A girl walks towards the group, carrying a brown bag.
"Professor, you left your bag at the lake." she said.
"Ah... good timing Dawn. Now let them take one of those pokemons."
"Are you sure professor? These pokemons will be hard to replace..."
"I am sure. Now open the briefcase."

Dawn opens the case. There are three pokeballs inside.

"Go on ahead and pick one Van." QB urged.
Van shrugged and picks up the fire monkey. He has always liked fire and electric types anyways, and he doesn't like turtles. QB then picks the penguin like pokemon.

The professor and his assistant then leaves, leaving the two boys alone.

"So... Van, we got our pokemon, now there's only one thing to do. PREPARE YOURSELF"

"ooooh shit..."

-insert 5 minutes of scratching and pounding here-
Van's CHIMCHAR wins!

"NOOOO, PIPLUUUUP! Van! I'll become stronger than you!"
"Heh... whatever..." Van chuckled and turned his back at the loser as he walks home...

And so... Van's adventure had begun...

Chapter Six: Fear And Loathing in Cerulean and Vermilion (Part Three)

The port town, at long last. The sun is strong here, but a chilling breeze blows by from the sea. It's strange. As a port, it's all hustle and bustle, but the weather gives it a somewhat relaxed atmosphere. And of course, there's plenty of electricity in the air from the local gym. My first stop before that though, must be the S.S. Anne, to find Clint. I don't feel like getting mauled by a Clefairy again.

Even before that, I decide to heal up. The journey took quite a bit out of Seedan, Hardan and Sporran. They're all getting much bigger, leading me to believe they could evolve soon. Excellent, I could use more firepower. At the Pokemon Centre, a young woman offers me something called a "Vs. Seeker". It allows me to apparently scan the area for trainers who want to face me again. So, basically, I have mind-reading technology at my disposal. Sweet. Shame it's so overly specific. Then again, if it's not related to Pokemon in this world, it's worthless.

The ship will be docked in Vermilion all day, as it allows its passengers to tour the port. Despite this, and the fact that most of them are trainers, so they could challenge the Vermilion Gym if they wanted, many choose to remain onboard. Well, whatever floats their boat. Heh. Getting on the great white whale is a simple matter of flashing Bill's ticket. I even have my own room. It's more luxurious than my own at home... The PC here can access Pokemon storage, as well as item storage. Sad. It briefly occurs to me that I have no idea what this Clint character looks like, or how to find him. The only solution, therefore, is to run about the ship like a headless Torchic, calling for him, barging into every room on the way. Same old same old. The problem is, the cruise ship is freaking massive. Needle-haystack scenario. Super.

Luxury is the name of the game on the S.S. Anne. The floors are hardwood, there are marble pillars supporting the structure, and even exotic ferns everywhere. It's a miracle the thing floats, though I resolve not to think about that too much. The trainers here are strong. Only a little weaker than me, at the moment, so repeated battling takes its toll on my team. I don't have the time to keep resting in my cabin for an hour or so, so I decide to bolster my forces with a new Pokemon from Route 11, while giving Sporran and Hardan those last needed drops of experience. I encounter a strange, bipedal tapir-like Pokemon, which is yellow on top, and brown on its bottom half. The Pokedex identifies it as a Drowzee, a Psychic Pokemon which puts people to sleep, and steals their dreams. What a charmer. Seedan gives her a taste of her own medicine, and the capture goes off without a hitch. Hypnan joins my army. I continue battling wild Pokemon for a little while, and the end result is a fearsome brown bird, with a protruding red beak, and an intimidating rock creature, with two legs, and four arms. Sporran is a mighty Fearow, and Hardan is a Graveler, or so the Pokedex says.

My party stronger than ever, I return to the S.S. Anne. It's evening now, and the boat will actually depart at midnight. Time is running out. I search the decks and all the cabins, but Clint is nowhere to be found. Damn, damn, damn. That said, I do battle everyone in sight, including some of the crew, who all seem to use the same sort of Pokemon - Machop/Mankey and Water Pokemon X. It's good experience for Hypnan, who can really take a beating, and hit back hard. I'm getting to like this one already.

Eventually, there's only one place left to look - the captain's cabin. A long shot, but worth a try. But of course, nothing in my life is ever simple. Blue blocks my entrance to the cabin. He sneers at me: "Looking for the Cut HM? I've got it, right here!" I have no idea what the hell an HM is, but, if Blue has it, I want it. His cocky attitude despite his various injuries irritates me no end. And so, Squad 7, move out! A giant brown rat's up first, against its natural predator - a cat. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but after Raticate sinks its fangs into Scraban, he's left with a deep gash in his chest. Fearing for his safety, I switch to Hardan, who muscles her way through Raticate, and Blue's Pidgeotto too.

I sneer mockingly, in his own exact tone, at him: "At least put up a fight, Blue..." He snarls, and sends out a Pokemon that looks suspiciously like a stereotypical old Chinese man, with a spoon in its hand, and a star on its forehead. The Pokedex informs me that it's a Kadabra, Abra's evolved form. I go to Hypnan, who bashes it into a wall with two Headbutts. Blue's final Pokemon is a red creature, that's basically just a bigger version of his Charmander - a Charmeleon. I double back to Hardan, and make an incredibly unwise decision to use Magnitude, causing a small earthquake on a boat. But remember those hardwood floors and marble pillars? Yeah, those actually have a purpose. The S.S. Anne is solid as bedrock. I'm impressed. Charmeleon is not, he's unconscious on the floor. Blue turns to run, but I grab his shoulder. "Where do you think you're going, Blue 'Motherfucking' Oak? You have something I want." I flash a slasher smile, take the HM, and shove him out a porthole. The scream being interrupted by a splash is the most satisfying sound I've ever heard...

(To be concluded. For real!)

@ Jarado : Nice lol XD. I also got bidoof there, fuck doofs.

CHAPTER 1 : Tackling the Route to Jubilife

"You'd better thank Professor Rowan for that Pokemon he gave you." Mom said as he washed the dishes after dinner.

"But... isn't there any tall grass on the way to Sandgem?"

"Silly boy, you've got a Pokemon now." Mom said with a smile.

Van chuckled. How could he forget. He's got a CHIMCHAR now. "Okay mom, I'm off!"

With that, Van started his little journey to Sandgem. Hey, how hard could it be? Going to the neighboring town and back is a piece of cake. Even his mom can get to Hearthome for contests. He kills a few bidoofs and starlies (starlys?) along the way, netting some levels for his CHIMCHAR who's getting used to scratching enemies until they bleed to death.

As he arrived at Sandgem, he found Dawn already waiting for him...
"Hi there, your friend is already inside. Let's come in" She said as she towed him towards the lab, only to get crashed by QB, rushing out.

"Is your friend always like that?" Dawn asked, confused.
"Since the day of his birth. Now shall we go in?"
"Oh right." Dawn said as she pushed the door open. "Professor, the other kid is here!"

After conversing for a while, the professor gave Van the Pokedex.

'Tch, what a pain... filling up the pokedex' he thought as Dawn teaches him the basics of being a trainer.

"So that's the mart, and there's the pokemon center, and... Oh wait, shouldn't you tell your family that you're going on an adventure? I'll wait for you here."

'Great... more bidoofs to kill...'

blablablabla

AND FINALLY, THE ADVENTURE BEGINS...

"Ah... alone at last... no more pesky lab assistant" Van said to himself as Dawn finally left. "Now let's catch some pokemon... no bidoofs please..."

-A WILD BIDOOF HAS APPEARED-
"FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU-"
-wild bidoof was caught!-
"I'll name you derp. Going on..."

-insert a few minutes of tackle fest through the route-

"Finally, Jubilife... hey littlebattler, why are you so crappy at writing this!"
shut up and be a good game character. The interesting part is still yet to come.
"whaaaat!"

-forcing the end of chapter 1-

THE LAST BATTLE: KATE VS RED

I enter Mount Silver and feel a sudden chill. Hugging myserlf to keep warm I press on, desperate to reach the summit. After a few hours I eventually manage to reach the summit. Sore and tired though I rest for the night before facing Red. I stay awake for a while reflecting on my jouney which (one way or another) will end here. However I am tired so I sleep soon enough.

I wake up refrished. I make the last dash to Red and we face off. Red does not need to say anything, he just smirks confidently.

Red sends out a Pikachu while loooks very strong. I realise that the Hail could be detrimental to the team and choose Chaos to begin. Red grinns "Iron Tail Pikachu" he orders. Pikachu's tail glows while and it then slams in down hard on Chaos. Chaos groans but then shruggs of the attack. "What?" Red gasps, "that should have killed you". "Babiri berry" I shrug and then order an Earthquake which knocks out Pikachu with ease. Red grits his teeth before sending out Blastoise. I realsie that Chaos has no chance agaisnt Blastoise and send out Luxray to counter it. Blastoise is faster than I realised and blasts a Focus Blast at Luxray landing a direct hit. Terebyte falls to the ground before struggling back to its feet and launching a Discharge which manages to paralysis it. Blastoise manages to survive the first electric blast but it cannot survive the second and it goes down. I am happy that Red is already down 2 pokemon but both Luxray and Choas are weak from taking attacks. Red sends out Venasaur while I send out Inferno. Inferno does not waste time, it forms a Flaming aura around it before slamming into Venasaur knocking it clean out. The recoil from the attack makes Infereno wince however I I realise I canot fire off attacks like that again without losing Arcanine. Furious Red sends out a Lapras. I remember my own Azure but realise that now is not the time for sympathy. My pride and joy Ivy comes out, ready to face down this water and Ivy beast. Lapras blasts or a Blizard which slamms into Ivy. Its blasted backwards and falls to the ground. I run over to it thinking it gone. How wrong am I. Ivy gets back up, its crippled and hurt bad but its alive and it blasts or a Petal Dance which knocks it out. My elation is short lived however as REd sends in his powerhouse, Charizard. Out comes my Dragon Tempist to take it on. We trade blows in the sky until I order a Draco Meteor. It slams into Charizard which survives it and Launchs a Dragon Pulse. Realsing that Dragonite has no chance against Charizard I have no choice but to go to Chaos again. Chaos burst back out onto the battle field and staggers as a Dragon Pulse slams into it. Red, realsing that he has a golden chance to take out a valuable member of my team orders a Flare Blitz from Charizard. Chaos still survives and knocks out with a Stone Edge. Red realises that the battle may be over as he sends out Snorlax. I still have all my team alive but all are weak enough to be killed by snorlax. His hope is quashed though as Blade switchs in and unleashes a devastatingly powerful Close Combat which prevents anyhope of a comeback for Red. The battle was over and I was Victorious.

Yup I won, if you want to see the team and their levels just refer to the previous post, its got everything. Just a couple of shoutouts though.

154.png

Ivy. Seriously this thing did awesome to help me win. Its reflect was helpful vs many battles and it helped take many hits that my other pokemon could not. I had always not liked Meganium but this performance means that it will always have a place in my heart.

248.png

Chaos.
Again this thing helped me so much. It was more helpful than Dragonite! Taking attacks with ease and it really became the most dominant force in my team.

59.png

Inferno
Well I got you aroud Goldenrod and you have always been Helpful. YOu were always a dominant force in my team. YOu never have much bulk but you could take Fire attacks like a pro and your priorty helped me win matchs. I could not ask for a more loyal partner.

149.png

Tempest

I got you late but you were an awesome go to guy. Your presence allowed me to have the upper hand vs many opponets and your power was extreme. You will always be remembered for helping me survive that tag battle with Lance and Clair.

398.png

Silverbolt.

I got you very late but you were so very instrimental. You helped so often in Kanto and for that I thank you. YOu also caused havoc with U-turn whichallows me to break apart teams (such as Rivals) with greater ease than I had before.

Thanks folks for reading my Nuzlocke HG challenge. I may do another one with a differnent starter or do a platinum one. Anyway cheers and

Have a Nice Day!

Anyway, Part 3 is done!
JarardosNuzlockeChallengePart3.jpg

Oh and quick question, would the Togepi egg given by Cynthia in Eterna City count as the first pokemon of that area or not?

EDIT: I got Part 4 done, too!
JarardosNuzlockeChallengePart4.png

Hey I'm Madeline, I'm new to Smogon, I stumbled across this thread and was inspired to write my own Pokemon story. I cut the introduction to make shorter I hope you like it.

Part One

Startled, I sat up in bed with the quickness of a level 200 Buizel. I was all sweaty because of my frightening dream. What was that all about anyway? I turned to my left and saw my mother angrily standing over me.

“Are you getting up, or what?” My mom said, “Today is your ‘Adventure Day’, remember?” Crap, so that’s what Professor Oak was doing in my dreams, trying to get me to wake up and smell the adventure. My mom started grumbling something about how my dad’s genes gather in my DNA. My dad left about 12 years ago. I was two, and my mother was 19. My dad stayed around for two years and left for no reason. He said he was leaving to become a Pokémon master, since his plans abruptly came to an end. His buddy came by to pick him up, a girl trailed behind yelling at him. My dad, still hailing his prized Pokémon, a Pikachu, left.
Now I’m fourteen and my mom has finally allowed me to go out on my own Pokémon adventure. I kind of feel like a loser seeing as though a bunch of kids left when they were ten. All my friends dropped school to go on their Pokémon adventure. Only Ethan didn’t drop school, and he’s not much of a friend. He’s only friends with his Marill.

When I came downstairs my mother was toying with a cigarette.
“Mom, you said you quit,” I said pulling out my toaster pastries. My mom flicked a lighter on and off before she threw it against the wall.
“WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO LEAVE ME?!” She explodes at the table. I hurry and run over to the coat closet and pull out my mom’s straitjacket. She fights me at first when I try to put it on her, but, after I smashed a vase over her head she agreed with me. I opened the door to the white room and dragged her inside. I would have to remember to call the insane asylum later and have her ‘taken care of.’
I finished my toaster pastry breakfast and noticed my mom left my fashion Pokémon bag on the table as well as my Trainer Card, a record book, and some tools. Suddenly, I heard my computer ring upstairs and had a sudden urge to see what was going on. I had an email from Ethan. My computer asked what I wanted to do with this message.

“What do you think? You ridiculous excuse for technology!! Seeing as though I have not read this email, I’m pretty sure that clicking on it means I would like to read it.” I clicked on the read button and proceeded to see what mindless email this anti-social kid sent me.

ADVENTURE!
EXCITED!

I love POKéMON!

-Ethan
I raised one eyebrow at this email. I think this is like the 40,000th time he’s sent this to me. I’m not exactly sure what it means, yet. Apparently this kid is having “adventure” and is “excited” every single day, week, month, whatever.
I whack my computer for being an idiot, letting some loser plant emails in the system and walk back downstairs. I could hear my mother screaming at the top of her lungs just faintly as I walked out the door for the last time.

My attempt at making this scene dramatic came to a sorrowful end as Ethan’s Marill ran up to me screaming, “HELP, HELP, HELP!!” Of course, what was I supposed to do other than kick the stupid animal aside and continue walking towards Professor Elm’s Lab, which is conveniently in my small village, broken off cul-de-sac, whatever you want to call it. The village is also tucked away in the far corner of the island where nobody visits. Sometimes, nobody delivers food to our town and we have nothing to eat for days and somebody has to travel to the next town to supply for our village.
I walked 16 steps into Pro. Elms lab, and yes, I did count them just so you would realize how far away the lab is from my standing point in front of my house, which also explains how small and irrelevant my village is.

“Hi, Momotsu, I’ve been waiting for you!” I stare at this man wondering why he was waiting for me. I mean it’s not like this was a planned gathering or something. But, maybe it was? I have no idea. I really don’t pay attention.
“Do you know anything about my research?”
“No,”
“…Well, as you know, Pokémon are carried in Poké Balls these days. But before the Poké Ball was invented, people used to walk with Pokémon. Just like your friend Ethan does!”
“Yeah, well, Ethan has been kicked out of twelve different Mental Institutions.” The professor continued on talking without even mentioning my comment, “Poké Balls are great because you can carry many Pokémon. But walking with Pokémon must have some advantages.”
“Yeah, like your Pokémon being easier targets. You could just be walking and all of a sudden, Diagla emerges from the space time continuum and zaps your Pikachu! What would you do then?! Exactly! You couldn’t do anything but already be a part of an intergalactic battle. Which you would lose because, hello! Is firkin Diagla! Nobody can defeat this super beast!” Elm just blinks twice and continues with his advantages list. Not even considering the probability of Diagla sucking your Pokémon’s health right out of the sky.
“It could have something to do with how Pokémon grow/evolve…”
“It seems to me like they explode into a whole different life form that’s only seemingly similar to the previous Pokémon.”
“So, I’m going to give you a Pokémon!”
“…”
“Can you walk beside this Pokémon, outside of its Poké Ball, to see if this brings any special feelings or bond between Pokémon or people?”
“You seem to have a pretty good experiment all planed out, especially since you’ve been watching Ethan. Why don’t you ask him if he formed and special bonds with his Pokémon?”
“The device over there has some Pokémon you could choose from..!” Suddenly Professor Elm’s computer rings, like a telephone.
“Oh, hey! I got an email!” He nods, and mumbles Okays and uh-huhs before turning back to me.
“Hey listen. I have this acquaintance that people call Mr. Pokémon. He keeps finding weird things and raving about his discoveries. Anyway, I just got an email from him saying that this time it’s real.”
“What’s real?”
“It’s probably another Pokémon egg, but we’re still so busy with our Pokémon research…”
“That sucks for you. I guess that Pokémon Egg will never hatch. Oh darn.”
“Wait! I know!”
“No,”
“You can go in our place, right? Can we count on you?”
“…not sure if that’s a good idea…”
“You can choose one of the Pokémon over there.” He gestures to the machine holding Poké Balls. I walk over to the machine and glance at the labels engraved in that odd scientific font. Tododile, Cyndaquil, and Chikorita read the labels. I personally preferred Cyndaquil over a miniature crocodile or some odd squishy green thing with a leaf on its head.
“You’ll take Cyndaquil, the Fire-type Pokémon?”
“I picked it up, didn’t I?”
“Why don’t you nickname it?”
“How about I give it a name and then I’ll give it a nickname based off that name?”
“…”
“I’ll name it Hinoarashi, after the Japanese name for Cyndaquil.” I walked back over to Prof. Elm with my Cyndaquil’s Pokéball in my hand.
“How do you like walking with your Pokémon? It’s not bad, is it?”
“…Not really…”
“You can take it all the way to Mr. Pokémon’s house.”
“So you’re going to take it back when I’m done doing your chores?”
“If your Pokémon gets hurt…You should heal it with this machine.” He gestures towards his computer, “It’s so easy to use. Just check the PC on my desk!” He checks his watch noticing that we’ve been talking for a while and decides that he should probably start telling me about what exactly I’m supposed to do to finish his task.
“Mr. Pokémon goes everywhere and finds rarities.”
“Rarities?”
“His house is past Cherrygrove City. Go north a little past Cherrygrove City. I’m counting on you, Momotsu!”
“Wow, way to make me doing your chores sound way more dramatic than it should be. Plus, I have better things to do like arrange for someone to be there to take care of my mom. She’s in her straightjacket right now and I can’t just leave her in that all day…She might get hungry or have to use the bathroom…”
“Never mind your mother!” He yells at me, “Just finish the job!” I grumble something unintelligent as I head back for the door, my newly enslaved Cyndaquil quietly following.
“Momotsu, I want you to have these to help you with your task.” Some random scientist says hands me five potions, “Pokémon are weak in the beginning and I don’t want Diagla to come zooming out of the sky and attack Cyndaquil…Don’t hesitate to use a potion if you think yours is in danger.” He runs back to his station, and nods at me to get going and then points to a flame thrower enclosed in a case. He then points at me and draws an imaginary line splicing off his throat. Noticing the death imitation, I scramble out the door, my Cyndaquil trailing behind.
When I emerge, Ethan and his Marill are out playing.
“Momotsu!” He said yelling at me to come over, “So you picked…a Cyndaquil! That’s a cute Pokémon you have! When you walk with it, it’ll become more friendly!”
“Wait, so this thing is friendly? And it’s not a rabid steel-cage fighter?” I asked rhetorically. Ethan just shook his head and continued talking, “You should turn around and talk to it sometimes, too.”
“It’s not like it’s going to talk back,” I tell him.
“Oh, that’s right!” He said slamming his hand into his forehead.
“Yeah animals don’t talk.” Ethan looked at me funny and then pointed at my house, “Why don’t you show it to your mom?”
“Because my mommy is in a straightjacket and…”
“See ya!!” Ethan said taking off. Watching this little boy take off running reminded me that I have a quest to complete, so I headed off towards the exit of our tiny village. Then some stranger yelled at me, “Momotsu!” I looked at her from behind me and stopped.
“Wait a sec!” She exclaimed. She grabbed my hand and pulled me back five steps back into the safety of the forgotten village.
“Did you leave your Pokégear at home?”
“Oh, crap. You know what? I didn’t.”
“You should ask your mom.”
“Screw you! I have to take care of my mother, so stop talking like you know how my family runs!” I take off back to my house and drag my mother out of her white room.
“Where’s my Pokégear you worthless lug?!” I scream at her, “They won’t let me leave without it!” My mom rolls her eyes way back in her head and starts foaming at the mouth.
“WHERE IS IT?!!” I scream at her. She starts flopping in the direction of the kitchen and slams her head against the counter where my Pokégear sat. I grabbed it and called my mom’s insane asylum.

“When will she be back?” I asked the man in the white outfit who was climbing into the van, getting ready to take my mother away.
“I’m not sure, Momotsu, but we will bring her back before your adventure is over. I promise.”
“Thanks William,” I say to him. William was like my father figure ever since my father left me. He would take me to school, pack my lunch, and read me bedtime stories when my mom got taken away. I was usually left alone a lot since everyone was taken away or left. But, William was always right around the corner when I needed to be sure that there weren’t any monsters under my bed.
I waved goodbye after the white van and decided that I was time to start my adventure now. But, just before I could take one more step, “Wait a second!” Professor Elm yelled after me.
“What now?” I grumbled under my breath.
“I almost completely forgot about this…Here I’ll give you my number.”
“What for…?”
“I’ll call you if anything comes up.”
“You act like I actually care.” I snort at him as he trots away.

I finally made it to route 29, which is 8 steps away from Newbark Town, my village. And, no matter what everyone says about the tall grass, not a single Pokémon jumped out and tried to attack me. Continuing down the road, I ran into a wall, which I was too lazy to hop over, so I decided to take the long way and find a way to walk around this tiny little plateau. Then, a wild Hoothoot flew from the sky and formally challenged me and Hinoarashi to battle.
“Hinoarashi, I choose you!” I said dramatically pointing towards the Hoothoot, “Use leer!”

Obviously this was only a taste of the story, sorry if my grammar was off. Tell me what you think and I'll post more or lock myself in a dark room :)

You know what I'd like to see? A Nuzlocke Colosseum run. I've had enough of the game for a lifetime, but it'd be interesting to see someone else, who hasn't played it before, do it.

Damn, I lost both of my fighters on the same day.

After the untimely death of Leon in Route 213, Van has been thinking hard...

'Now I'm in pastoria and my only solution to water types have died because of a stupid critical hit from a Gyarados. What should I do now... Wait... I haven't caught anything in Route 213. There are lots of Shellos there, but is there anything else? Vivaldi has once again earned his spot on the team after Leon died. Perhaps I should go and train Daisy first... She's quite underlevelled. Or should I try my luck scoring a pokemon at the marsh? A skorupi could be nice, but I desperately need a grass type or an electric type. But I heard that one can find some nice tangela or tropius in the marsh... perhaps I should try it. Okay, lets go to the marsh.'

So van steps into the muddy grounds of the marsh, hoping to get a nice grass pokemon to handle the water gym. "tropius... come out come out..."

*A wild tropius appeared*
"YEAAA!"
*tropius got scared by Van's yelling and tried to flee*
"ooo no you don't! come back here! GO MUD!"
*tropius gets angry*
"Safari ball, don't fail me now!"

nudge

"come oooonnnn..."

nudge

"stay still..."

nudge

"please god..."

*click*

"YEAAAAA!!!! hmm what should I call you... Male Tropius... Okay, it's decided. You shall be known as Big Daddy!"

Soon after that, Vivaldi once again gets stored into the box in favor of Big Daddy. Van really wished that the move deleter is here so that he can delete the useless HMs he had given to FlyHamster... Anyway, it's Grindfest time...

NEXT EPISODE : THE CRASHING WAVES

What if your team ends up having multiple of the same pokemon. Right now I have three bidoofs, a turtwig, and a starly. Am I allowed to keep 2 of the bidoofs
