Lanca sits back and lobs a ball of Toxic sludge at Blackbeard before falling into a light sleep, despite Blackbeard's constant barraging with repeated Arm Thrusts! Just before Lanca wakes up, Blackbeard throws up a quick Substitute, however, Lanca is able to blast it away immediately with an Aerial Ace! Link Cable Escavalier, my gosh.

Blackbeard struggles to make a dent in the Cable-jacked Lanca, so it opts for a Circle Throw instead! Lanca returns with a simple Headbutt before Blackbeard slices back with a Cross Chop that manages to score critical damage against the iron wall! Not to be outdone, Lanca rushes forward for a Giga Impact that does incredible damage! Blackbeard then introduces some finesse into this bruise-fest with a Recover, but Lanca forges forward with an Aerial Ace before it gets somehow thrust back into its Pokeball, releasing Shine the VOLCARONA and the mock-Gym Leader's final team member onto the field!
