Thanks to our new and improved Custom Server™ recording detailed data, I will also be posting two new sets of statistics :


Moveset Statistics

Leftover EVs adding up to 4 on any given stats are completed disregarded for this. Otherwise, EV values preceded by ~ are not exact values but ±12 points, so ~72 Spe encompass every spread with between 60 and 84 Speed EVs. I also included, for each pokemon, the two most popular individual sets. As previously, two different pokemons are still considered as a single set if they only differ by gender, move ordering, IVs or choice of where to put the 4 leftover EVs.

You may notice oddly high percentages labeled under "Other", it's not a bug, dozens of odd choices under 2% really add up to that much. If a pokemon isn't in the list, it simply means that it didn't reach the required minimum usage (1000 for OU and UU to make the file fit in Pastebin, 50 for everything else).

These were calculated using data from players with a rating higher than 1100 at the time of battle.

Metagame Analysis

For this, every team is analyzed and automatically classified as following a given playstyle. As the frontiers between playstyles are blurry, especially with the absence of official definitions for most of those, seeing the evolution of these statistics throughout the months will probably be much more insightful than the raw numbers.

"Offensive" includes Heavy Offense, Offense, Trick Room and Baton Pass.
"Stall" includes Full stall and Semi stall.
"Balance" is by far the most common type on team, with no clear bias towards either offense or stall. The definitions I chose for this are : a team is "Bulky offense" when its bulk and power are both spread more or less equally between its members, while its "Balanced" when it shows a clear distinction between strong defensive and offensive cores.

As with moveset stats, the rating cutoff was set at 1100.
