Universal Threat List

Well I decided to post a universal threat list which contains most commonly used pokes in the OU environment and their counters. All of the Information is compiled from Smogon and all I have done is put it all into one place so most of the credit goes to smogon. Also some of the pokemon may be in the wrong places if so then just pm me. I will likely update it soon with more threats and their respective counters. Also the format is:

This is a good idea and is done fairly well. The thing is people know what counters what, well they should. What you need to do instead is include each common threat in OU defensive and offensive and particularly with the offensive ones specify how the team handles that threat.

A threat list doesnt need to cover every possible threat just the main ones. If its for OU then you should get rid of Weezing and Ludicolo. They are both UU.

You also need to include pictures for the sake of presentation.

The main problem with this is that its not actually a threat list, its acually just what counters what. We have the analyses for that. http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/

If it were to be done like i suggested then then would indeed be a very useful resource.

We dont know anything about NU at this point so we cant hope to do a threat list.
Furthermore tiers havent even been decided yet.

On my earlier points we might as well if we are going to do anything just Stick this threat list after some minor editing. LR and SoT please respond.

Everything is Green now so people can change to the appropriate colours when they see fit to.

Unholy Calamity i should have asked before lifting this but its the perfect Threat list and i believe it should be Stickeyed if we are going to make a threat list for OU.

An intro will also have to be made explaining the threat list and how to use it.

A great idea, I think you should get loads of people to chip in and improve it, get it stickied and it will become a brilliant resource.

hmm well ikitisune would you like to help me gets this stickied? Its universal so I will make an OU version Uber version and UU version all in this thread so how does that sound to everyone furthermore it may take about a week to compile all the resources and info but once its done I think this will be stickied so what do you say ikitisune

There's already a threat list announcement, and I'm pretty sure I've seen a defensive one somewhere too, surely it would make sense to update that.

Those are more about what is X capable of what counters x in the grand scheme of things. This is more so we can easily, as raters, identify what the team struggles with. It will also improve presentation until we get sick of this layout.

I'm confused what the advantage of this is over the current Threat List announcement? The current threat list already includes a link to the analysis pages so you can look up the counters anyway. I guess it's handy, but I'm missing why this is as helpful as some of you claim it is or would be as some sort of sticky or if I were to incorporate it into the announcement.

that was and is completely intentional:

the point of my announcement was to help team builders, not team raters. it's not to help you do your job—you should have a good enough handle on the metagame of the team you're rating to be able to tell which pokemon give the team problems

Well I actually built this list for team raters and theam builders to see what pokemon can counter which helping each other give better rates and build better more successful teams but I am sorry if this thread clashed with someone elses so if you want then this can be closed as this was obviously posted afterwards.

Okay, since I really don't see the point of this at all, and you guys clearly missed the announcement at the top. I'm going to lock this thread. And besides, some of the counters he listed....aren't even counters. Not a single decent reason has been presented, if you ever come up with one, feel free to pm it to me.
