Arena: Mt. Moon
Inside a cave in Mt. Moon. It's dim, but light from the moon beams in through a hole in the ceiling. The hole is on the West side of the room and a group of Clefairy dance in the moonlight. At the end of even numbered rounds one of the Clefairy will use Metronome on one of the battlers. If a Pokémon uses Earthquake there is a 40% chance of a stalactite falling from the ceiling and hitting them.

Restrictions: No water. No Dig.

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to Mount Moon, where the panorama is heavenly and the terrain is hellish! Of course, that would be the case if we're climbing from the outside, but today, we're exploring the caverns of this mighty mountain to witness a duel between two aspiring trainers!

On one side we have Wikey! The somewhat spooky trainer along with his somewhat spooky Luca, the shuppet. On the other, we have Hoblaph. He looks like he has a fiery passion, symbolized by his pokemon of choice, Speedy the ponyta!

So, ladies and gentlemen, I shall now take my position as the referee. Excuse me for a moment.

Oh! It seems that both trainers have finished giving instructions to their pokemons! The battle has started folks! Speedy takes the initiative with a Flame Charge! The fiery stallion charged towards the puppet-ghost thingy and hit her with the blazing tackle! Luca was knocked backwards considerably, whyle Speedy is enjoying an adrenalin rush that gives her extra speed and awareness!

Hmm? Look at that! Luca has unleashed her move despite of the damage she endured! Ooh, the walls of the cave suddenly turns colorful. And trippy. Am I high? Oh, wait, this must be a Trick Room! Such fine strategy from Wikey! Now Speedy, who is speedy, will be slower, thanks to the magical properties of Trick Room!

Luca quickly capitalizes on her newfound speed to close the distance to the pony and... covered her in a poisonous mist! Oh my, it's Toxic! Already speedy doesn't look like she's feeling well. Both the heavy pressure from the trick room and the poison must be taking a toll on her!

Speedy isn't giving up yet though. She took a deep breath, trying her best to ignore the poison entering her lungs, and unleashed a massive Fire Spin! And oh, look at that! Being so close to the ponyta, Luca took the full brunt of the flames! It's a Critical Hit!. Both contestants are looking pretty battered now, with Luca's cloth starting to catch fire and Speedy coughing from the poison she was forced to breath in to execute the move.

Whoa, ladies and gentlemen, look at that face Luca is making!
image :

It seems that the puppet ghost is attempting a Taunt!

Speedy fell for the taunt it seems, as her fire suddenly grew intense! So intense that she forgot to use Will-o-Wisp! I guess Luca would say "Problem?" if she could speak!

And the trainers start yelling more commands! Folks, this battle is just heating up!

Great work, Luca!

Start with a Confuse Ray. Follow that up with an Ominous Wind. Finish with a Night Shade.

(And just to clarify, Speedy has Toxic-level Poisoning, right? You didn't put it under his status.)

E: Thanks, LB.

Speedy, hit Luca with two Flame Charges (Nitro Boost). Finish by using Wild Charge (Wild Bolt)!

Trick Room is in effect. Ref is mad and making it short and lame.

Luca uses Confuse Ray (Severe). Speedy Flame Charges despite confusion, ow! Speed boost for Speedy, yay! That was so totally needed! Fire Spin damages Luca. Apparently Ponyta can run through the Fire Spin no problem. Toxic damages Speedy.

Luca did no damage so wants damage now, uses Ominous Wind, deals damage, no boosts or crit, so she's sad. Speedy cheats and doesn't hurt herself in confusion, then Flame Charges at Luca and gains another oh so necessary Speed boost! Fire Spin damages Luca. Toxic damages Speedy.

Luca gives the shivers and ghostbumps to Speedy with a ghostly Night Shade. BRRRRR! Doesn't seem to hurt Speedy too much as she attempts wildly charges at Luca for a surprise shock! But she trips and falls in confusion! Fire Spin damages Luca. Toxic damages Speedy.

Clefairy comes around and decides to pick on Luca. Uses Metronome. Clefairy used DynamicPunch! It doesn't affect Luca apparently...

---------------------------------------------------------

Kay, I'm settled now. Let's get this rolling!

Under the magical space of Trick Room, Luca starts off by summoning a current of Ominous Winds that breeze through the Fire Spin and right onto Speedy, who shakes and shivers in fear within contact of the wind and attempts to chill it out. But the blast of the wind was so strong that Speedy was knocked off her hooves afterward and blown across the cave and smashed against the wall due to a critical hit! Speedy gets up and shakes her head in frustration of the hax and charges toward Luca in a flaming wheel of hell, despite her state of confusion. Smash! The attack strikes Luca right back like a meteor, though back would mean right onto the Fire Spin! Ouch! From the impact, Speedy shakes off her terrifying haunting confusion, though spits out some poisonous mucus and blood in the process.

Luca grins a shady smile upon Speedy. What? Huh? Oh! Luca has just magically Disabled Speedy's Flame Wheel! Looks like our little pony has just forgotten how to attack this round! Uh-oh! But Speedy isn't particularly out of attacks as, in desperation, she jumps upon Luca in a struggle and smacks the ghost on the head! This also scratched some of Speedy's hooves, but it doesn't seem to be death-threatening. Speedy is so disgusted at the Disable that there's poison oozing out of her ears! Nasty! At least she no longer fears Luca's evil taunt! Luca stares in disgust at Speedy, that's nothing compared to being stuck in a burning spin of fire!

For the last session of this round, Luca finishes it up with another Ominous Wind, which swishes and twirls Speedy around and around! You can even see the poison splooshing into tiny puddles around poor Speedy! Speedy only knows to Struggle though, and struggle she does, as she jumps upon Luca with her body and hoofs and smashes the ghost onto the floor, hurting herself in the process. At least she has her manners of getting off afterward and backing away!

Bloody hell, this is getting bloody!

The moment of truth arrives! Well, not really, but something interesting will be happening this round!

With the gravity of Trick Room, Luca slides her Ominous Winds across the cave and "slams" them upon the fiery Speedy, who's just about had it. Combining all her strength into this attack, Speedy wildly charges at the flaming Luca and shocks her into exhaustion, but she's not done yet! She is still "breathing", albeit heavily!

Once Speedy had made contact with her attack, it was too late to turn back from Luca's second attack - a deathly stare of a Night Shade! At this moment, Speedy stiffens up, eyes shutting, and collapses upon the cold grounds of the cave. Poor pony. Who will avenge you now?

(Also, Fire Spin damaged Luca for those two actions.)

Oh crap, and Clefairy comes along and uses Metronome. It used Belly Drum! It got hungry!

Picking off the leftovers for Round 5, eh meaty?

With Speedy no longer able to battle, hoblaph sends in some trash... I mean Flutter, to avenge her! Luca smirks; filthy trash should be poisoned! With the aid of Trick Room, Luca is able to blow off a stream of Toxic gas across the arena, with Flutter being a victim. Flutter doesn't really care though, since he is trash! Well, not really, as he unleashes a bit of Hidden Power that gushes through back toward Luca and blows her right onto the Fire Spin for a deadly critical hit! Luca collapses onto the flaming spins that finally evaporate into thin air, allowing her to sleep peacefully until her return to her master's Poke Ball. In the meantime, Flutter decides to be one lucky piece of trash and Sheds his Toxicated Skin off before it got any worse.

Let's see what's in store for Burmy next!

---------------------------------------------------------

Stay seated everyone, it's Round 6!

As we know from last round, our dear Luca has fainted into exhaustion. She's not alone though, as she has her boyfriend Guernica (Grimer) step up in her favor! Or I think it's her boyfriend, not sure...

Flutter stares in disgust - this big bad slime looks tough! Well, since Flutter knows almost nothing, in terms of everything, he charges up some Hidden Power and blasts it at the new challenger Guernica, who grunts into a small whine from the attack at first, but bounces back into shape like it was nothing. Guernica sounds like some kind of bad ass Mexican warhero, so I expect nothing short of awesomeness here! He smudges and oozes some Sludge onto his hand and throws that pile of ooze right onto Flutter's face! Splish! Sludge is evidently drooping downward on his disappointed face as if someone just smashed him with a pie!

Angry from the embarrassment, Flutter shakes his head from the sludge and charges headfirst for a ramming Tackle at Guernica. Smaasshhh....? No, it was more like a... blooooop! Flutter just goes right through Guernica and bounces right back onto his behind! What a hilarious sight to see! And I'm sure Guernica is laughing his ass off too as he charges up some acid in his mouth and sprays it across the arena, Flutter included. The acid was so corrosive that Flutter became immensely weakened on his special side! That's not all the acid did though; the acid started to corrode pieces of his leaves into... nothing. Almost like a critical hit happened!

Flutter now knows that he's almost no match for this epic warhero Guernica and starts breaking down. Guernica shows no mercy, however, and unleashes the final assault of the round - a shocking slime of venom! Right as the venom was about to land on Flutter, he Protects himself with some barrier and the venom bounces off onto the arena. Is that enough to save yourself boy?

Meanwhile, there's a Clefairy coming around! A pretty cute one too. Does she want Guernica? Huuuh, I guess not. She's kinda... swagging her middle finger or something at him. She must have used Metronome! And out came a vicious female Clefairy throwing her body onto slimy Guernica and somersaulting into a beautiful Seismic Toss onto the ground! THAT WAS 10 DAMAGE MAN! THAT HAD TO HURT! At least Guernica's skin bounces right back into shape! Wish my skin could do that.

Tackle:The Pokemon tackles the opponent with a bit of force.

Attack Power: 5 | Accuracy: 100% | Energy Cost: 3 | Effect Chance: --

Sludge: The Pokemon fires a large mass of sludge at its opponent. The toxic sludge may posion the target.

Attack Power: 7 | Accuracy: 100% | Energy Cost: 5 | Effect Chance: 30%

Acid Spray: The Pokemon funnels high amounts of toxin into one single shot of acid that explodes on contact. It reduces the opponent’s special defense one (1) stage. Acid can corrode Steel-types, making them susceptible to other Poison-type attacks.

Attack Power: 4 | Accuracy: 100% | Energy Cost: 3 | Effect Chance: --

Venom Shock: The Pokemon rains down drops of poison on the foe to inflict damage. It has a catalyst that doubles the power if the opponent is poisoned.

Attack Power: 7 | Accuracy: 100% | Energy Cost: 9 | Effect Chance: --

Protect: The Pokemon erects a barrier that Protects them from every direct and indirect attack. Only field attacks can bypass Protect. When struck by a powerful attack, the Pokemon releases a lot of energy to prevent damage. Protect fails if used on successive actions.

Attack Power: -- | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 7 + Damage Blocked/3 | Effect Chance: --

Hidden Power: The Pokemon lets out white rings that swirl around the user and then are fired at the opponent. Hidden Power can be any type of the player’s choosing, however, once Hidden Power’s type is chosen it can never be changed. The player can also choose the attack power. Hidden Power's Energy Cost is equal to Base Attack Power minus two (2).

Attack Power: 4-7 | Accuracy: 100% | Energy Cost: Attack Power - 2 | Effect Chance: --

hoblaph's turn!

Also, I really think Acid Spray was supposed to reduce SpD by 2 stages, since that's how it is in-game. -1 looks really wrong.

Good Flutter!

Use Hidden Power followed by Tackle. Then use another Hidden Power!

If he attacks you with a special attack for action 2, replace Tackle with Protect.

Hidden Power ~ Tackle/Protect ~ Hidden Power

We've got this, Guern!

Start off by roasting that little bug with a Flamethrower. Then once he's nice and warmed up keep him from messing things up by Disabling his Hidden Power. Then add a little flavor with another Acid Spray.

Flora

Yep, that tasted purple!

A shocking Round 7!

With all the strength he has, Flutter goes all-out offensive with a damaging Hidden Power. Upon touch, the attack tingles Guernica's interest - he's mad! So mad that he burns his mouth into flames and breaths a nasty Flamethrower to roast the bug for dinner. Ahhh... that's more like it! Barbecued bug...

Flutter still has more fight in him, and despite being toasted, he hops across the arena and delivers a bouncy Tackle attack! Guernica didn't mind it one bit and uses his psionic... err, toxicated, powers to Disable Flutter's only good move - Hidden Power! Uh-oh Flutters! Your troubles are only getting better!

Flutter... flutters around in a sense when he realizes he can't make a single move. However, he struggles into an attack that smacks on Guernica's slime, but it's too late to realize that Flutter had injured himself on the attack! Guernica laughs like a mad demon and delivers a corrosive Acid Spray of doom that reduces Flutter to ashes. Well, he's still there, but his Special Defense surely burned!

Wikey's turn!

edit for below:

RE Stat boosts/drops: "Stat Boosters/Drops recieved on the second action drop/restore towards 0 at the end of the third action of the next round."

I don't see anything about boost/drops dropping by 1 per round. So that's why I don't have it as -3.

Well, I guess I'll just play along with it though.

(Shouldn't it be -3 SpD?)

Great work, Guern! Time to finish this bugger off.

Keep him warm with another Flamethrower and add the last bit of seasoning with a pinch of Sludge before bringing him to a nice golden brown with one last Flamethrower.

If he tries to use Protect on any step of our recipe use Harden instead.

(If this isn't a valid Substitution just ignore it.)
