Alright, I need some weakmon training!
4v4 Doubles
Unevolved Pokemon only (Bulbasaur yes, Ivysaur no, Heracross no)
Unlimited Recovers/Chills
3 day DQ
And I'm going to steal one of my old arenas, with a few twists:
Arena: A golf course!
The Pokemon will be on the fairway, with the water hazard nearby so Surf can be used. Dig isn't allowed, nor are any fire moves that risk scorching the grass (basically any of the damaging ones, Will-O-Wisp is ok for example), but Earthquake can be used. After the last battle here, the owner complained that there were scorch marks from lightning bolts, so Thunder is banned as well. Other electric attacks are fine.

I humbly request that the match is Switch=OK, if that is acceptable to whoever accepts the challenge.
I need some weakmon training for the ones I have left so i am in

so first thing is flamestrike's mons, then dfrog's mons and their actions, then flamestrike's actions.

Lets send out the partners in crime! Buster and Grace.

Buster use Toxic on the pair then blast that gator with and Venoshock.
Grace Taunt Aquastrike then use Confuse Ray on Gator and finish with an Hyper Voice on Aquastike.

Buster: Toxic (Gatorstrike) ~ Toxic (Aquastrike) ~ Venoshock (Gatorstrike)
Grace: Taunt (Aquastrike) ~ Confuse Ray (Gatorstrike) ~ Hyper Voice (Aquastrike)

Brandon thought about what to do. There wasn't much he could do about Toxic; Gatorstrike was outsped by Breezi and couldn't avoid it, and Aquastrike was also outsped and wouldn't be able to avoid the Taunt from Scratchet. "I guess going on the offensive is our best option," he decided. "OK guys, let's start off strong! Gatorstrike, I want you to start by making a Substitute! Make it 20 HP! After that, nail Scratchet with a Superpower, followed by a Waterfall! Aquastrike, you'll be taunted so just hit them hard! Hydro Pump Scratchet, then Air Slash him! Finish off with another Hydro Pump on him!"

Summary:
Gatorstrike: Substitute (20 HP) -> Superpower (Scratchet) -> Waterfall (Scratchet)
Aquastrike: Hydro Pump (Scratchet) -> Air Slash (Scratchet) -> Hydro Pump (Scratchet)

here we are for round 1 of this match. grace, not living up to her name, taunts aquastrike, while buster toxics gatorstrike. aquastrike then shoots a powerful hydro pump at grace, while gatorstrike sets up a substitute.

grace, ever the prankster, sends an eerie ray at gatorstrike in order to confuse him; the substitute blocks it though. buster now targets aquastrike with a toxic, and both aquastrike and gatorstrike go on the offensive against grace with an air slash and a superpower respectively.

suddenly everyone's offensive as buster fires a venoshock at gatorstrike, dealing more damage thanks to a reaction with the toxins in his body. grace screams at her opponents with her hyper voice, and she's once again double teamed by a hydro pump and a waterfall from her opponents.

flamestrike you're up.

As much as I like still having my substitute, Hyper Voice hits both opponents, so it should be broken. It also means Aquastrike takes less damage though!

Brandon considered what to do next. Scratchet was almost down, but he didn't want to let Gatorstrike gather too many Superpower stat drops. It was time for a switch. He recalled his Totodile, and grabbed a new ball from his belt. "Let's go Raptorstrike!" he called as the Starly appeared, ready to fight. Brandon then waited to see if his opponent would switch as well.

I Shadow see his opponent switching out, to Raptorstrike the Starly no less! Wll I may as well bring in something of my own to stop it in its tracks! Grace you're being subbed out for Jason, the Cranidos crush the opposition!

Oh, okay.

Shadow pondered his decision for a second, who should he focus on. Jason urged to take down the opposition weak to his strength. Shadow decided against that notion, that Aquastrike poses the biggest threat. You two play to your strengths and their weakness. Buster show him the power of poison and Jason use your Sheer Force to crush your opposition! No room for failure!

Buster: Venoshock ~ Energy Ball ~ Venoshock (all Aquastrike)
Jason (Activate Sheer Force): Stone Edge ~ Thunderbolt ~ Stone Edge (all Aquastrike)

If Aquastrike faints on any action swap your remaining actions to Raptorstrike. (both)

Just for counters after the game has finished Buster gets 3MC as he is fully evolved and has his DW ability, Grace is fully evolved but no DW ability. So no EC for either of them but as of right now it is unapproved so Flamestrike if you would be so kind...

"Alright guys, we've got some tough opponents but we can do this! Aquastrike, you're still Taunted, so an all-out offense is in order! Start with a Scald on Cranidos, then smack it hard with a Hydro Pump! Finish off with another Scald on it! Raptorstrike, that Cranidos is a pretty big threat so start by using Whirlwind so it'll go back to its Pokeball at the end of the round! Next, set up a 15 HP Substitute to hopefully absorb an attack or two if Aquastrike falls. Finish off with a Revenge on Cranidos!"

Summary:
Aquastrike: Scald (Cranidos) -> Hydro Pump (Cranidos) -> Scald (Cranidos)
Raptorstrike: Whirlwind (Cranidos) -> Substitute (15 HP) -> Revenge (Cranidos)

after both players make a switch, things resume. buster attacks aquastrike with another buffed venoshock, and jason complements that with a stone edge at the same target. aquastrike shoots scalding water at jason, while raptorstrike whips up a whirlwind around jason.

buster keeps up the assault on aquastrike with a ball of energy, while raptorstrike senses things are safe enough to put up a substitute of himself. jason shocks aquastrike with a thunderbolt, and his sheer force makes it more powerful; it's even a critical hit! aquastrike, on his last hit point, fires off a hydro pump before he faints due to toxic poison; sadly for him though, it misses.

buster and jason both turn on raptorstrike now, with a venoshock and a stone edge from each respectively; jason's attack misses, but raptorstrike still gets his revenge.

jason seems frightened by the whirlwind still, so he flees back into his pokeball; richard the colosshale has taken his place in battle.

Brandon recalled Aquastrike, thanking it for its effort but really wishing its final assault had connected. Regardless, he had to keep going. "Alright, you're up Thornstrike!" The Ferroseed entered the fray, spinning in place beside Raptorstrike. "Alright guys, let's get going! Raptorstrike, start hitting that Colosshale with everything you've got! Brave Bird, then Double-Edge, then another Brave Bird! Thornstrike, start by putting a Leech Seed on Colosshale, then Toxic it! Finish off by smacking it with a Bullet Seed! If you end up Taunted, then replace your actions with a Bullet Seed, then a Pin Missile, then a Bullet Seed, all on Colosshale! And if Colosshale falls before the end of the round, just use Gyro Ball on Breezi until the round ends!"

Summary:
Raptorstrike: Brave Bird (Colosshale) -> Double-Edge (Colosshale) -> Brave Bird (Colosshale)
Redirect all attacks at Breezi if Colosshale is KOed
Thornstrike: Leech Seed (Colosshale) -> Toxic (Colosshale) -> Bullet Seed (Colosshale)

If Colosshale is KOed make remaining actions Gyro Ball (Breezi)

Shadow sized up his new opponent and questioned his new course of action. Decidedly Thornstike, the Ferroseed. However we can nullify his usefulness for the time being firstly you two focus on breaking that substitute. With Sludge Wave and Muddy Water respectively. Now its time to get creative, Breezi use Encore to give confidence to our thorny friend then Richard Taunt then little one. Now focus on the big bird use Muddy Water and Sludge Wave to ruin the avians day.

Buster: Sludge Wave (Starly) ~ Encore (Ferroseed) ~ Sludge Wave (Starly)
Richard: Muddy Water (Starly) ~ Taunt (Ferroseed) ~ Muddy Water (Starly)

buster starts us off with a sludge wave, breaking raptorstrike's substitute but doing zilch to the steel exterior of thornstrike. richard follows up that attack with a burst of muddy water, which reduces the accuracy of both opponents. raptorstrike launches at richard like a brave bird for some damage, and thornstrike tries to leech off richard with seeds, but misses.

buster thinks what thornstrike did was quite good, and gives him an encore; richard doesn't seem too impressed though and taunts him. raptorstrike attacks richard again with a double-edge, and thornstrike just struggles.

buster and richard return to the sludge wave and muddy water shenanigans from before, dealing some damage again. raptorstrike launches like a brave bird yet again, while thornstrike struggles again.

richard starts us off by firing a bubblebeam at raptorstrike, which buster follows up with by slashing air at that same target. thornstrike fires seeds like bullets at richard, hitting twice; raptorstrike is too busy flinching from the air slash.

buster lets loose a sludge wave, knocking out raptorstrike. this is a cue for richard to turn his attention to thornstrike, and he shoots a mud bomb at the little seed. thornstrike retaliates by shooting his pins like missiles (jesus it sounds like a fucking tank), dealing some super effective damage to richard and hitting thrice.

buster and richard tag team thornstrike now with an air slash and a mud bomb respectively, and the pressure is too much for thornstrike as his bullet seed misses.

gatorstrike is sent out and waiting; flamestrike's orders please.

note: gatorstrike is at 67hp / 69en with toxic poison status; does the counter reset or stay at 2 though?

Counter resets, just like in-game.

Brandon sighed. There was nothing he could do if his opponent kept getting lucky breaks. Still, he wasn't going to give up just yet; two of his opponent's Pokemon were near death, so maybe with a lucky break or two of his own he could make it a match. "Alright Thornstrike, start by hitting Colosshale with a Bullet Seed to finish it off! Once that's done, Leech Seed the Breezi, then hit it with a Gyro Ball! If you're Taunted, then instead of Leech Seed go for Gyro Ball right away, then hit Breezi hard with a Payback! Gatorstrike, start with an Ice Punch on Breezi, then crush it under a Rock Slide! Since Colosshale will be fainted by then it'll hit for full power! Finish off with another Ice Punch on Breezi!"

Summary:
Thornstrike: Bullet Seed (Colosshale) -> Leech Seed (Breezi) -> Gyro Ball (Breezi)
If Taunted Action 2 replace actions 2 and 3 with Gyro Ball (Breezi) -> Payback (Breezi)
Gatorstrike: Ice Punch (Breezi) -> Rock Slide -> Ice Punch (Breezi)

Shadow let out a large sigh of relief. You two have done a good job. Richard, your going down I unfortunately, I was too late to save you however you will not go down in vain. Buster you require a break and you shall receive one, temporarily anyways. Shadow put his head in his hands as he made his actions, knowing all the while he could've save one of his pokes. While Buster and Richard both tired still stare down their opponents.

Buster: Chill ~ Venoshock (Gatorstrike) ~ Energy Ball (Gatorstrike)
Richard: Mud Bomb*3 (Thornstrike)

richard launches another mud bomb at thornstrike but fails to get the accuracy drop for the third time; his partner just chills out while gatorstrike rushes buster and punches him with a hint of ice. thornstrike shoots out bullet seeds yet again and knocks out richard.

buster, now all alone, fires a boosted venoshock at gatorstrike, but takes a rock slide from gatorstrike in reply. thornstrike takes on a less direct route by sprouting leech seeds on breezi to sap his health.

buster fires a ball of energy at gatorstrike, lowering his special defense; gatorstrike just ice punches again while thornstrike attacks like a gyro ball, hitting a critical spot.

dfrog i need your next mon and actions please.

Shadow cringed as Richard faints. Jason avenge your fallen comrade. Buster and Jason time to clean up shop. Hell hath no fury like your own!
Jason - Activate Sheer Force: Thunderbolt (Gatorstrike) ~ Hammer Arm*2 (Thornstrike)
Buster: Venoshock (Gatorstrike) ~ Air Slash (Thornstrike) ~ Chill

Leech Seed isn't marked on Breezi's status.

"Alright Thornstrike, Gatorstrike, it's time to try and set up for the long haul. Thornstrike, start by using Gyro Ball on Breezi to finish it off after Gatorstrike's attack, then set up a Leech Seed on Cranidos! Finish off with an Ingrain to recover even more health! Gatorstrike, Aqua Jet Breezi so Thornstrike can finish it off, then Waterfall Cranidos if you're still around. You've done great!"

Summary:
Thornstrike: Gyro Ball (Breezi) -> Leech Seed (Cranidos) -> Ingrain
Gatorstrike: Aqua Jet (Breezi) -> Waterfall (Cranidos) -> Waterfall (Cranidos)

gatorstrike strikes buster with a quick aqua jet before he gets knocked out by an onslaught of a venoshock and a thunderbolt from buster and jason. thornstrike then gyro balls buster to knock him out too.

now, with just jason vs thornstrike for the rest of the round, jason brings down his tiny arm like a hammer on thornstrike; thornstrike just shoots leeching seeds at jason to sap his hp. but all jason has to do is one more hammer arm to knock out thornstrike and end the match.

gg people, and congrats on the win to dfrog. prizes:

  • flamestrike and dfrog get 3 tc each i believe
  • i get 8 ref tokens
  • all pokes get 1 ec, 2 mc and 1 dc
  • jason gets 3 koc
  • buster and thornstrike get 2 koc each

Small nitpick with the rewards as much as I'd love an extra koc for my cranidos he only gets two. Other than that GG Flamestrike and thanks for reffing tea! Time to add to my epically long claim post T.T
