I got really bored in science the other day. I remembered I started a RMT a while back called The Final Gambit. I was to use Victini and Final Gambit and kill off the opposing lead and start a slaughter. I used some sweeps and tried to not allow the opponent to set up. Now, I started a rain team... TEAM BELIEVE!!!!! It utilizes rain offense and the ultimate power of a 5 vs. 5 team (Victini kills the opponent's lead 90% of the time).
It is sad to say that most people don't know what a 5 vs. 5 game is like. Victini brings players to the ground with shocking OHKO right off the bat. The opponent just saw the greatest hit-and-run of their lives with Final Gambit. Most players like to send out a weather lead or a spiker/rocker. Sadly, with their leads dead, I can reak havoc with Politoed and his league of Rain abusers. Victini also has nice coverage and he just makes the team who it is...
Politoed may look like the worst offensive Pokemon ever, but with Choice Specs, he can OHKO threats like Landerous and Dragonite! With both my opponents and my lead fainting off the bat, you need an offensive start. Generally, I can get this done by sending in Politoed. If my opponent has started with their weather lead, they will pay with endless rain!!! Politoed has decent coverage and starts a 5 vs. 5 game well. Politoed says Don't Tread On Me with a great ability and heavy Hydro Pumps!
Jirachi is my only special attacker and that really is not good... I know. I am thinking about changing Dragonite... but that is hard to do. Anyways, I have a SubCM Jirachi. He loves to abuse the Rain. Since Victini allows me to OHKO the opponent's lead (most importantly weather Leads), I can set up rain with general ease. Thunder have great chances of causing status (60% Paralysis) and has 100 accuracy. The Rain even takes out one of his two weaknesses! Substitute is great for putting up Calm Minds and blocking annoying Taunts and Burns.
With Jirachi and his subCM set, Gyarados comes and turns out to be a great partner with SubDD. Gyarados and Dragonite on one team may look odd at first, but they serve different roles. Dragonite is my Phazer where Gyarados is my Physical Sweeper. Gyarados has two great stabs, and one even gets a bonus from the rain (don't forget the chance at a flinch)!! Over all, Gyarados may be a loose cannon, but he runs out of steam fast. Rapid spin support and entry hazard support form Forretress is greatly appreciated. It allows Gyarados to do his job faster and longer. The choice of Intimidate and Moxie is yours, but I love the later. Moxie allows this loose cannon to fire even harder the very next turn.
With both Hurricane and Thunder in his arsenal, Dragonite makes an amazing Tank in the Rain. The main job of Dragonite is to put up a good resistance to Grass types. Not only does he do that, but he phazes and racks up entry hazard damage with support from Forretress. He may have a huge weakness to Ice attacks, but almost every other member resists his prime weakness and Forretress and Jirachi cover his Dragon weakness. Dragonite also has a love for rain like Jirachi. He has a lower chance at a paralysis, but he also gets a chance for confusion. Both of his chance-of-status attacks have 100% accuracy in the rain making Dragonite that much better!!
Forretress is a nice addition to the team. Rapid Spin support and rocks are much appreciated by Dragonite and Gyarados. Sturdy is the most reliable thing I have with him.
The Process:
Princess Bri tried to explain team building to me and she told me an example with this core and lead.
Suicide lead to faint the opponent and to allow Politoed a better chance at starting rain.
Spikes and Rapid Spin support to help Gyarados! We know he needs a little support here and then...
Abuse the spikes... and have great accuracy in rain with tanking!
