Arena: Bubs' Concession Stand

The battle takes place around Bubs’ Concession Stand where Bubs sells all types of crazy crap!

Basic features
  • No external water source
  • No external rocks
  • Plenty of external grass
  • Weather is allowed and works as normal
  • Digging is allowed and works as normal
  • Seismic moves (ie, Earthquake, Magnitude, Bulldoze and Fissure) are allowed and work as normal
  • All of the above are subject to change as the battle goes on
Special features

Players start with $200 and, upon sending out their initial pokemon, can use this money to buy items for this battle from Bubs. Every time a pokemon gets a KOC, the owner gets another $50 and may buy more items from Bubs before the next pokemon is sent out. Once a player buys an item, he/she may equip it to any of his/her pokemon as long as the pokemon doesn't already have an item. Items bought in this battle cannot be taken out of the battle and items cannot be sold to Bubs.

Here are the available items and their prices. Items marked with a (*) are ones that affect the arena and are not held by pokemon, so when buying such items, the player does not need to specify a pokemon to hold the item.

Items on, abilities on, switch = OK.
So here we are, At the concession stand. I'm here to buy me some popcorn and watch some tournament battles at the asb arena. But these "nice guys" with their really big pokemon asked me to ref. And after I wet myself I agreed to ref. But I was scared so I got my friend Sneasel to help with this here reffing... Because I don't want to poop my pants....

Anyway Team time!!!

Anyway as always I present to you guys some inspiration for your battle!

Here we are at the concession stand of the ASB arena. A rather derpy looking man is behind the counter and I want some kit-kat bars. These guys roped me into reffing this match and I'm entirely game, because I want some tasty UC. The two combatants each send out their fighting specimens, one a delicous amphibious incredibly wise (Or Brain damaged) umm pink thingy. The other sends out a cross between a nightmare and a spider monkey. The monkey suddenly starts miming a wall, and I'll be damned. It's actually hardening the light to filter some of the damage, the other.... thing... walks right up and karate chops it. breaking the screens.

The spider is super (sarcastically) Impressed and applauds nestor, who never received enough attention as a child, and it just keeps karate chopping to show off to its new mentor! Its mentor is a dooshbag. Not even a mentor. Just a really bad person. Smart. But generally a terrible person. This Leads into the spider leaving nestor like his father did, but not before he hits him one more time. Like he always used to like.

A couple of things; Brick Break actually deals 4.333 Damage as opposed to 4.4, but it doesn't make much of a difference. You forgot to factor Leftovers Recovery on Fidgit, who should have 90 HP, Fidgit should have 77 EN, not 67, & Nestor should have 82 EN, not 88.
Additionally, it would help to know who's holding what, which arena-based items are in effect, & how much money each player has remaining.
;)

Yay, Atheno gets a bonus $50 now. He now gets the opportunity to spend money before I send out. Fuck 5-hit attacks... :/

Wonderful 5-hit attacks.

I'll spend my newly gotten monies on a Seismic Dampener. I don't think we really need that.

Factor in Expert Belt to Eelektross' attacks, which leaves Lucario with 43 HP after rounding.

"Sleast, dispose of this thing! Take this Expert Belt with you."

Brine > Mud Bomb > Brine
IF (Protective/Evasive Move) is issued successfully without transfer, THEN use Sandstorm on the first instance, AND Chill on future instances.
IF Dig is issued without suspense, THEN use Dig that action.

My house was struck by lightning I can't ref, due to internet getting fried.

(I'm totally okay as is my house just my Internet box not being a surge protecter)

And coming in at number 4 it's ... Sleast the Gastrodon! The warped dimensions of the Concession Stand arena work in Sleast's favour as he sprays Brine all over Ares' wounds. Ares goes into Close Combat mode, pummeling the Gastrodon but leaving himself open in the process. Sleast takes advantage of this by hurling a Mud Bomb at him, almost bringing Ares to his knees! Ares tries to restore some vitality with a Drain Punch to the face, but it's not enough for him to survive a second Brine attack from Sleast. Looks like Its_A_Random got some money for that excellent display of pokemon control.

"Well, time for some good old BS Roleplaying."

String Shot (Muzzle Nestor's Mouth shut) > Sandstorm > Mud Bomb
IF the referee declares that you cannot use String Shot to muzzle a Pokemon's Mouth Shut (Which has had precedence in favour of it working), THEN change your course of action to Mud Bomb
> Protect > Mud Bomb

Nestor the Slowking comes back into the game, and he seems to be a bit fresher than when he originally went back into his pokeball. Using the warped space-time continuum in the arena, he quickly demonstrates his Psychic powers on Sleast. But the Gastrodon has other plans. He sprays String Shot all over Nestor's mouth. This doesn't slow him down at all, but it does prevent his attempt to yawn at Sleast, who summons a raging Sandstorm! In unrelated news, Bubs just put up a sign saying "Sand for sale - $10 per grain". Nestor doesn't care though and he just uses his Psychic powers to knock Sleast silly. It's not enough to stop the Gastrodon from hurling a Mud Bomb at his opponent. Well, it's more like a mud-and-sand bomb by the time it hits.
