The UU Tier has undergone numerous changes over the years since the beginning of the 4th Generation. Numerous policy changes, bans, and strategy changes have constantly reshaped the UU metagame. This tournament will explore the UU metagame from its beginning (a.k.a. Old UU) to the recent Heracross drop (September 2010). Each round will explore a different UU metagame after each tiering change in chronological order. The times are:

Eligibility:
1. You must be human or equally intelligent ape.
2. You must post "in".
3. You can't be banned or have the "I could be banned" status.
The rules are:
1. Gen 4 UU at the current time. Rulings will be listed below:
2. Single Battle.
3. 6 Pokemon per team
4. Species Clause
5. Classic Sleep Clause
6. OHKO Clause
7. Classic Freeze Clause
8. Strict Damage Clause (if played on Shoddy, PO has this already)
9. Evasion Clause
10. Self-KO Clause (this will be implemented because it was not deemed uncompetitive until December 2010.)
11. Single Elimination
This is intended to be a 64 man tournament. If there are not enough signups, then the list will drop to either 48 (single elimination, round robin finals) or 32 (single elimination). If there are more than 64 signups, then the 64 entrants will be decided on a 62.5% First Come First Serve and a 37.5% random basis, so if you are in the first 40 entrants, you are guaranteed in as long as there are 64+ signups. If there are 128+ signups, it will still be capped at 64. If the tournament has 63 or less signups, the January 2009 round will be deleted. NEVER MIND WE'RE GOING TO 96!
The rules are simple even though they might look complicated. Trust me. Now sign up. I mean it. You. The guy reading this. Join this tournament. But read the rules first. After that, post "in". Right now. What do you have to lose? Your pride? No, Gen IV's over anyway. Nobody will care if you lose. Just sign up. Trust me, I'm a doctor. Actually, no I'm not. You can get sued for impersonating a doctor. Just sign up.
