The Smogon Spelling Bee​

Hello and welcome to the Smogon Spelling Bee! In this tournament, the names of your Pokemon will finally matter, or at least the first letters of them. In each round, you will be given a theme and you must build a team using six Pokemon that spell out a word relating to that theme with the first letters of their names. For instance, if the theme was 'household objects', I could build a team using the word 'window' and the Pokemon Wormadam, Infernape, Ninjask, Delcatty, Omastar and Wigglytuff. Note the Pokemon must be in the same order as the word, so I would be required to use Wormadam as my lead. Also, note that plural nouns are illegal. Singular only.

• All matches are to be played on Smogon's PO server or the CAP server on Shoddy
• No Ubers
• Freeze Clause
• Sleep Clause
• OHKO Clause
• Battle timer must be on
• Species Clause
• Evasion Clause
• Logs are not required, but should be saved in case of a dispute

Each round, I'll be providing you guys with a list of example words. Here's the list of Cities/Countries:




As usual, you may use any word that isn't on the list as long as you PM it to me first.

I'm pretty sure I made an error in the pairings somewhere; there are only 29 of them. I will try and sort this out ASAP.

But conveniently, Aqualois and Angammemnon both did advance from round 1: therefore, they will be playing each other. Their matchup has been added to the list.

I'm sorry for the trouble, guys. I ended up posting this at midnight because I really wanted to get it going, but I probably should have waited a bit longer to get everything right. So, yeah. Please don't hurt me.
