Open Battle:

3vs3 Singles battle
DQ time: 3 days
0 Recover/ 5 Chills
Arena: The desert, late at night. There is absolutely no humidity in the air, no oasis nearby and the area is, for the most part, clean, with the ocasional dune for cover. The land is very soft, good for digging. When one of the pokemon have 1/3 (rounded down) or less of their max HP, there is a 20% chance per round that a wild murkrow will appear to confuse (prankster confuse ray) both players. Also, the wind can start blowing at any time (50% chance per round of a sandstorm) and it is freezing outside (0°C/32°F).

I accept the challenge!
One ability
No items
Switch= KO

We only need a ref!
Here's how things work.
Frosty posts his pokemon and ability.
LupusAter does the same and gives actions.
Frosty gives actions.
I do things.

And so on in the correct order each time.

"Oh god...who had the wonderful idea of having this battle in this freezing hell at the middle of nowhere?"

*Ruki the Vulpix looks at her trainer with a rather accusing look*

"Yeah yeah, I know. Shut up, stay here and keep me warm before I freeze to death. As if the irony of this delightful moment wasn't enough...".

*Frosty then selects a pokeball on his belt and throws at the nowhere*

Go Undine (Eevee) and make daddy proud! Use your Adaptability ability to adapt yourself to this...dreadful place and win, k?

Go Fenris! Make this place hotter with your Flash Fire!
Scorch it with Will-O-Wisp, then trap it in a Fire Spin, and go through the flames to activate your ability with a Flame Charge!

"GREAT. Another fire poke to keep me war--....I mean, I shall defeat thee!"

We don't want you to get a nasty burn, so let's try something here. First Quick Attack to evade the will-o-wisp, then brace yourself for the fire spin and dig. Dig really deep in order to avoid the fire spin entirely and take your time. Come out of the earth to attack only at the very end of the turn.

If, somehow, the WoW hits you, replace dig with Swift to dissipate the flames in front of you and hopefully hit the Fenris dude at the same time. End it with a yawn as it aproachs you. Oh and brace yourself.

In other words:

If Undine manages to evade WoW with Quick Attack
Quick Attack - > dig and stay underground -> attack with dig after flame charge

If Undine is hit by the WoW
Quick Attack -> Swift to dissipate the flame -> Yawn

Hello battlers and spectators (spectators kindly be quiet). Today we are witnessing a possible first in asb history: a battle in nowhere. Absolutely nowhere. Wonderful choice there Frosty. Anyhow, on with the battle.

Both trainers send out their pokemon; on one side, an Eevee, turning into a lump of dull, dull sand almost immediately, and on the other, a Houndour, looking menacing in the darkness. Just as the pokemon begin to move, a vicious Sandstorm starts brewing. Fenris looses a ghostly ball of flame, but Undine manages to Quick Attack to avoid it, but wasn't able to get close enough to damage Fenris at all. Fenris, angered by the mockery made of it before, breathes more fire and traps Undine in a cage of fire, but Undine is simply able to go under the ground. She goes down, down, down, and Fenris' blood pressure goes higher. He launches into a Flame Charge before getting hit on the underside by Undine's dig attack.

Before things get too hot in here, let's take a break.

NB: I have assumed that, as a Sandstorm can occur at the start of each round, it only lasts for one round.
That is correct. Every turn there is a 50% chance that the Sandstorm will start/continue brewing and 50% that it won't.

Anyway

"Good Girl! That was a good round!"

Now let's keep the ball rolling with a menacing yawn. Then get near your opponent or get ready if he seems like he is going to attack you physically and prepare a powerful Tickle! Finalize with another dig.

Also, keep in mind that burns are BAD, so if you see any ghostly ball of fire coming toward you, replace your action (any of them) with Quick Attack, in order to evade it.

To sum things up:
Yawn -> Tickle -> Dig
If he uses WoW: Replace your current action with Quick Attack

Now Fenris, try to burn her as she yawns with another Will-O-Wisp! Then pelt her with a Sludge Bomb as she comes to tickle you! Fire Spin before she digs underground to end the round!

After last round's dust storm, both trainers seem a little uneasy to give their orders, though when no storm comes, Lupus starts things off with another spectral flame. Undine once again tries to Quick Attack to evade it, but it is to no avail as Undine is burned. Fenris then pelts the poor vulpine with toxic sludge, which poisons the pokemon! In retaliation, Undine unleashes the fearsome Tickle attack, lulling Fenris into a false sense of security and lowering its Attack and Defense by one stage each. Fenris then traps Undine in a flaming cage, but Undine is once again able to escape by digging under the ground.

OFF TOPIC: Burned and Poison at the same time! even with Quick Attack? MADNESS. Also, did Fenris Hp went up or is it just my imagination?

Anyway,

"this doesn't good..."

Kay Undine, we are not in a hurry be like your trainer and stay cowardly hidden, k? Come out and attack only at the end of the second turn. Try to stay just below him and feel your surrounding, when you sense a peak in the temperature, stay a bit more and come out. You should be able to escape the Flame Charge that way. I know that may be tiring, but hang on ok? Right after you come out, combo the attack with a quick-attack not to evade, but to ATTACK. That way we may, with some luck, throw Fenris out of balance so his bomb misses. Or we can at least hope so.

so yeah:
Stay underground -> Come out and hit Fenris -> Offensive Quick Attack

Fenris starts the round casually, even as another sandstorm blooms, waiting without a care in the world. Eventually however, he gets bored and attempts to Sucker Punch Undine, who is still under the ground, and ends up headbutting the ground. Nice job there. After that, Fenris charges around like a flaming bull in a china shop, but still hits nothing apart from a well placed sand clump. To further add to his humiliation, Undine then surfaces with a Dig attack, hitting Fenris on the nose, and then Undine hits a Quick Attack! Fenris finishes the round by hitting Undine with a blob of sludge.

K Undine, the burn and poison aren't doing you any good, so try to give a final push, ok?

Start the round with a Yawn, then dig and come out and attack at the end of the last round. If you are still concious, of course. If the first yawn doesn't work, keep yawning and use Swift afterwards, k?

in other words:
Yawn -> Dig -> Come out and attack
If Yawn doesn't work: Yawn -> Yawn -> Swift/Yawn

Fenris, block your wiew of the yawn with a Fire Spin! Then activate your ability by going through the fire with a Flame Charge! Then, if she's underground pump yourself up with an Howl! Or, Bite her if she's aboveground.

Fenris starts off with a Fire Spin in an attempt to block whatever attack is coming from Undine, but has forgotten that alone in the desert, even in a raging sandstorm, everyone can hear you scream yawn. Fenris then runs through the fireball at top speed, and the crowd (sand dunes and rattlesnakes) senses a rise in its fyahpowah as Undine digs underground. Fenris then howls to the moon (if only, if only) before Undine strikes his soft underbelly, but at the last moment, Undine falls to the floor, finally succumbing to her burn, and her poison, and the 90 mph particles of dust.

He should fall asleep at the end of next turn (third one after Yawn), so let's use Protect to avoid damage from his Flame Charge. Once he falls asleep, slam him good with an Earth Power, ending with an U-turn in case he decides to be funny.

So yeah:

Protect -> Earth Power -> U-turn

Caffie creates a huge icy shield to block Fenris' Flame Charge. All the heat he could muster is not enough to melt the wall, even with a critical hit, though it appears to have used a lot of energy. Fenris then falls asleep, and Caffie uses the time off to hit him first with an Earth Power and then with a U-Turn, which knocks Fenris out.

Okay Caffie, lets feel the ground with a Bug Bite. Being offensive is the way to go here. After that crawl fastly toward Fafnir and end it with an U-turn putting yourself in a more advantageous position. I can't see anything he can throw at you, as the desert has only sand as far as the eye can see, so you should be fine if you keep a distance. Finalize using your superior speed to get near him and use Leech Life to get some of your health back.

So:

Bug Bite - U-turn - Leech Life
