Arena: Ruins of Alph. The ancient buildings are easily destroyable, but doing so will anger the Unowns, who will start attacking with their Hidden Power the perpetrators. They will target all the invaders indiscriminately, trying to hit them with super-effective Hidden Powers. They also have only 15 HP, but their numbers are effectively endless.

Two brave explorers, LupusAter and Darkamber8828 find themselves find themselves in the Ruins of Alph looking for rare Unown. They both spot a Shiny Unown ! in the center of the ruins. They both want it so they decide to battle for it.

LupusAter sends out Nidhogg the Snivy and Thrym the Larvitar while Darkamber8828 sends out Flooffy the Heracross and Ruckingfain the Poliwag.

Nidhogg starts of this show with a lightning fast Aerial Ace which although hitting Flooffy fairly hard leave him generally unscathed. Although unscathed Floofy brings down his horn and hits Nidhogg mega(ly) hard at full speed with it. This hard hit knocks Nidhogg into a pillar which falls down angering an Unown which comes out and attacks with a Hidden Power. Thrym feeling left out and not happy that his partner was hit into a pillar attacks Flooffy with a levitating rock filled with ancient fossils which he lifts with a strange power. This hits Flooffy smack on. Ruckingfain also feeling left out hits Thrym with an insanely powerful Hydro Pump. Which knocks him back into a wall tearing it down which angers an Unown which decides to hit Poliwag with a Hidden Power.

Nidhogg getting up from that Megahorn hits Poliwag with a speeding Leaf Blade while Flooffy puts his fists up getting into a combat up close against Thrym which sends him into a weathered wooden beam. This angers an Unown which attacks Flooffy with a Hidden Power (sounds usual doesn't it). Thrym sends some sharp edged stones at Flooffy which hit their mark. Ruckingfain sends a frozen beam of ice at Nidhogg which sends a chill through his spine.

Nidhogg moving at an amazing speed hits Flooffy with an Aerial Ace. Floofly in response to the Aerial Ace again lowers his horn and hits Snivy with a Megahorn. This Megahorn hits Nidhogg into another wall which angers an Unown which hits him with a Hidden Power KOing him. Thrym just wanting to bite something bites down hard on Ruckingfain. Ruckingfain last but not least uses a Hydro Beam on Thrym which knocks him into an ancient bridge breaking it. This angers an Unown which hits Ruckingfain with a Hidden Power. As the dust clears and the Unown flies away looking under the broken bridge it looks as if Thrym has been KO'd.

Darkamber8828, what do you mean by Hydro Pump Fenris or Hidden Power Fafnir and who do you mean by Fafnir. Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question.

Hydro Pump Fenris the Houndour if he sent Fenris the Houndour out.

Hidden Power Fafnir the Totodile if he sent Fafnir the Totodile out.

I'm still reffing don't worry it's just taking longer than anticipated. You do not need a subref. Also this is a reserve post for the reffing for the round.

Both trainers issue their commands to their Pokemon, and the action begins! Dablob the Gengar opens the round with a lightning swift Sludge Bomb which hits the Snivy square in the face! Unluckily for LupusAlter, it knocks the Snivy to the ground and there's little doubt that this was a critical hit! Too much for Nidhogg, as he falls to the ground unconscious. Taking advantage of a lull in the action, Darkamber8828's Poliwag takes the opportunity to evolve to his next form, a Poliwhirl!

Following this swift evolution, Ruckingfain the Poliwhirl slams the dog (Houndour, that is) opposing him with a Hydro Pump in an attempt to weaken him as fast as possible. It works, but the dampened puppy runs up and Bites him with his extremely sharp teeth!

Fenris the Houndour takes the initiative this round; seeing Gengar prepare an attack, he runs up close and Sucker Punches him where his gut would be if he was humanoid. I think. ANYWAYS Gengar reels but taps energy sources and shoots out a Focused Blast of power at the nearby dog, with near-perfect accuracy. Following it up, Ruckingfain creates a massive Surf and crashes it down on the battlefield, swamping both Gengar and Houndour.

Gengar once again is the fastest and creates another Sludge Bomb which slams into the Houndour. Poliwhirl uses the oppurtunity to shoot out another powerful Hydro Pump at the dog. The two attacks combined are enough to have completely stunned Fenris, as he falls to the ground and he too joins his companion in the Pokeball.

Gengar: Sludge Bomb, 23 damage, 7 energy; Focus Blast, 18 damage, 6 energy;Sludge Bomb, 12 damage, 7 energy

LupusAter is in a bit of a tight spot here; he's down to his last, unevolved Pokemon, versus three of Darkamber8828's. Will he manage to win this? Let's see! He tosses out his last Pokeball, revealing a Totodile! D'awww!

Completely undaunted, Darkamber8828 issues his orders to Ruckingfain the Poliwhirl and Dablob the Gengar. LupusAter is able to get his out in a single sentence, but will it be enough? Gengar begins by issuing a Hypnosis on the tiny dude; as shaky as it was, Fafnir the Totodile is now fast asleep. Ruckingfain follows this up with his own Hypnosis, as infective as it is on the already-sleeping Fafnir.

As their lone opponent dozes away, Gengar and Poliwhirl prepare to unleash devastation on him. Poor Fafnir! Dablob is too evil to be swayed by cuteness, unleashing a blistering Thunderbolt, which slams across the dimly-lit chamber directly into Totodile. Ruckingfain follows this up with a Hidden Power, spreading across the room and leaving blossom trails.

Once more, Darkamber8828's Pokemon prepare to beat up the sleeping Totodile. Repeating their previous actions, Gengar lights up the chamber with another Thunderbolt, shocking Fafnir awake! However, before he can do anything, Poliwhirl shoots out but another Hidden Power. Participants will have to be careful, wild plants are taking hold and starting to weaken some of the walls of the nearby ruins. The now awake Totodile runs up to the Poliwhirl and with all of his body Thrashes up against him.

Welcome back to what looks like the final round of LupusAter vs. Darkamber8828! We've got LupusAter's lone Totodile, nicknamed Fafnir, facing off against a moderately healthy duo of Dablob the Gengar and Ruckingfain the Poliwhirl! Gengar starts by inducing Hypnosis on his lone opponent, but unfortunately, he seems to be distracted by something and the attack misses! Picking up his slack however is his teammate Poliwhirl, who uses his own method of Hypnosis to put the Totodile to sleep. Fafnir was about to charge forwards but instead just dozes.

Gengar plays a more conservative strategy and relaxes, or should I say chillaxes? In any event, he's not making any move towards winning the battle. In an equally unorthodox strategy, Ruckingfain dashes over to the sleeping Fafnir and instead of using one of his many techniques, with time and effort put into learning them, uses a strategy akin to a 3rd grader beating up a kindergartener: using his superior height, falls on top of him and Struggles madly. However, the attack does a bit of damage to him too. Fafnir continues to doze, apparently having given up on winning this battle for his trainer.

A swift end draws nearer as Dablob unleashes a similar bolt of electricity; the Thunderbolt streaks across the arena faster than the eyes can track and shocks his own teammate, knocking him out! The sleeping Fafnir wakes up but can only miss as he attempts to punch a ghost.
Darkamber8828 DOESN'T WIN, MY BAD!!!

Sorry for the trouble.

Squishy, attaaaaaack! Surf ~ Surf ~ Surf

Dablob, spam Night Shade until Fafnir's under 10 health! Then, uh, chill.
