Since dragonboy just sent me the one pokemon he's using, Venser will choose a pokemon and orders and then dragonboy will submit orders for Gible.

Good luck and have fun :toast:

Here we are folks, in this very common arena. Looking around we can see quite a few other battles going on; looks like this is quite the hotspot! However, our focus today is on this small battle between dragonboy52 and Venser. The two trainers send out their first pokemon, a Gible and a Porygon respectively, and are ready to see who will leave victorious!

Immediately, Triple Threat starts off by searching through its databases for information on Gible and Downloads some information, making its special attacks more effective! This is very bad news for dragonboy52!

Gible, anticipating a huge attack, Digs underground to try to avoid it. Triple Threat sends off an Ice Beam, trying to aim it down the small hole in the ground, but was unsuccessful. Gible meanwhile comes back up and and strikes, but in the meantime Triple Threat had prepared for it well enough that it only took half the damage!

Slightly disappointed, Gible decides to create a Sandstorm here to activate his own ability and even things up. Hopefully this won't affect the other nearby battles! Triple Threat, after that large Ice Beam, decides to take it easy and attacks with a mere Tri Attack instead, but based on Gible's reaction it seems to have done a good amount of damage. Gible immediately goes back underground with another Dig, but Triple Threat sees it coming this time and the Ice Beam is much smaller than usual, costing a reduced amount of energy. It uses the little bit of extra time saved to get out of the way and again takes only half damage from the Dig. Good thing too, because the Sandstorm damage is starting to become annoying!

The round ends with a few feet between the two pokemon and a Sandstorm raging. There are a few holes in the ground thanks to Gible, although it seems unlikely that they would negatively affect either pokemon. A little bit of water in the moat has been frozen by the original Ice Beam, but it looks like it will probably thaw soon.

dragonboy52, you're up!

Whatever he's trying it won't work. When he digs underground, wait for him to come up and then slam him with an Ice Beam. Follow it up with another Tri Attack while he Double Teams, and then wait for him to come up and hit him with another Ice Beam.

In a battle where both pokemon are competing to see who is slower, who wins? The slower pokemon, of course! Gible starts by Digging underground to avoid an Ice Beam, but this time Triple Threat's trainer is wise enough to tell him not to attack until Gible comes back up! As soon as it happens, Triple Threat hits him with the full power of an Ice Beam! The attack freezes the poor Gible and severely cripples his ability to move! As a result, when Gible tries to make a Double Team, it is much less effective, and Triple Threat has no problem hitting with a Tri Attack. The freeze was so effective, in fact, that Triple Threat's attack did critical damage!

Slightly thawed by the force of the attack, Gible Digs underground again, with the same result as the previous attempt: Triple Threat waits until he has surfaced and hits him with a full powered Ice Beam again! It seems that the evasion boosts from Sand Veil and Double Team didn't do much to help Gible in this battle, maybe next time?
