Arena: Smoke Factory
This factory manufactures a strange substance: poisonous smoke. This smog is present all over the arena, making it quite hard to see for Pokemon that don't have evolutionary traits that allow them to see; this results in a 15% (flat) reduction in accuracy for Pokemon that are unable to see, regardless of distance. Because this smoke is poisonous, all Pokemon that are not Poison or Steel-typed have a 25% chance to become badly poisoned at the end of each round.

Alright, lets go Knives, with Battle Armor and Stampede with Lightning Rod!
That Grass type (Budew) is scaring me so lets go and completely murder it right off the bat, Kabuto hit it with Confuse Ray and then follow that up with Screech so that you can pound it with Rock Slide to end the turn.
Rhyhorn, try to take advantage of the shaky accuracy of attacks here and set up a 20 HP Substitute on the first turn, follow that up by hitting Budew with Crunch, then Rock Blast!

Engineer Pikachu

Good morning, you bastards!
is a Contributor Alumnus
I'm going to assume that the Substitute is 25% health, since it's not specified...

Shobi, start off by putting Kabuto to sleep with a Sleep Powder. Then, set up a 15 HP Substitute, followed by a Giga Drain on Rhyhorn.

Yaku, start off with a Thunderbolt on Kabuto. Then, follow it up with a Mud-Slap on Kabuto and an Acid Spray on Rhyhorn.

edit: I sent you my abilities in the PM; Poison Point and Stench.

edit2: I'm assuming I can change my actions after seeing QD's changes...

Edit: Speaking of Substitute, QuantumDerp, please specify the amount of HP you want to put in your substitute. You can pick anything between 15 and 25 HP.

The smoke-filled arena seems to be hindering QuantumDerp's pokemon: Stampede the Rhyhorn and Knives the Kabuto. Engineer Pikachu, on the other hand, brought two pokemon that thrive in environments like this: Yaku the Grimer and Shobi the Budew. Shobi wastes no time with her first move: a Sleep Powder that puts Knives to sleep for a while. Yaku tries to zap Knives with a Thunderbolt but Stampede's horn draws the bolt of lightning towards him and away from his ally. Stampede then channels some of his own vitality into a Substitute Rhyhorn.

Seeing this, Shobi decides to do the same and makes a Substitute Budew. Knives' nap is starting to end and she begins to wake up, but before she can do anything, Yaku Slaps some Mud into her eyes, making it even harder for her to hit her opponents. Meanwhile, Stampede Crunches what he thinks is Shobi but is actually just her substitute. The substitute barely hangs in there.

Shobi feels the need to recover some vitality, so she Giga Drains what looks like Stampede but is just the substitute. However, it still provides the vitality she craves ... at the expense of its own 'life'. Stampede is now without a substitute, but Knives has his back covered. She creates a Rock Slide that hits Yaku, but Shobi barely escapes from the attack. Yaku follows up by Spraying Acid all over the real Stampede. It doesn't do much damage but it might make him more susceptible to Shobi's moves. Stampede finishes up by Blasting Rocks at Shobi's almost-dead substitute, destroying it for good.

Raw data

  • Due to their poison typing, Yaku and Shobi can see through the smoke without an accuracy loss. Stampede and Knives unfortunately cannot.
  • Furthermore, the poison typing of Yaku and Shobi makes them immune to toxic poisoning from the smoke, whereas Stampede and Knives are both susceptible to it.

Good morning, you bastards!

Woops, forgot about Lightningrod...

In that case. lets's eliminate Stampede.

Yaku, see how much support you can be with an Disable (Rock Slide), Mud Bomb, then Acid Spray. (attacking moves on Stampede). If Stampede has a Sub when action three rolls around, replace your action with an Acid Spray on Kabutop.

Shobi, you'll be the one dishing out PAIN. Use Mega Drain - Growth - Mega Drain, with all your attacks aimed at Stampede. :D

I'm not really scared of that Yaku but Shobi is looking pretty damn scary. Knives, as everything is aimed at Stampede this round I was you to boost like crazy. Hone your Claws for 2 turns then strike with a Waterfall on Yaku, we'll have to wait for Rock Slide to be undisabled to hit Shobi (however, if Disable fails hit Shobi with Rock Slide). Stampede, things aren't looking good, on the first turn hit Shobi with Rock Blast, assuming you survive the Mega Drain set up a 15 hp Sustitute on the 2nd turn and end with another Rock Blast on Shobi.

Knives: Hone Claws - Hone Claws - Waterfall (at Yaku)/Rock Slide if Disable fails
Stampede: Rock Blast @Shobi - Substitute (15) - Rock Blast @Shobi

Also shouldn't Rock Blast break the Sub and still do damage? It is a multi-hit move and they do that in game.

Shobi and Yaku press home their advantage, especially Shobi who begins by Mega Draining Stampede, stealing some of his vitality. Knives has realised that, with the smoke, it's going to be hard for her to land any attacks, so she Hones her Claws to make them deadlier and more accurate. Suddenly, however, she has forgotten how to use Rock Slide. Yaku has tapped into her mind and Disabled the attack for a while. Stampede senses that he has to pick up the pieces and Blasts several Rocks at Shobi, but only two of them find their mark.

Now with a significant advantage, Shobi suddenly finds her metabolism working out well for her, giving her a Growth that boosts her strength. Meanwhile, Knives continues Honing her Claws while Yaku focuses his efforts on Stampede. This time, he makes a Mud Bomb, which he throws into Stampede's face before the Rhyhorn can create a Substitute.

Shobi, however, Mega Drains the substitute, causing it to shrink until it has disappeared completely. Meanwhile, Knives has finally decided to attack, charging at Yaku like a Waterfall. This one strikes Yaku with deadly precision, but he just Sprays some more Acid on Stampede, making his skin even weaker to Shobi's moves. Infuriated at being targeted like this, Stampede Blasts more Rocks at Shobi, this time landing five hits on her despite the difficulty he had in seeing her. That must have been a lucky guess for him.

However, the toxic fumes have finally started to affect Stampede on the inside. With his already low vitality and now internal poisoning, I don't think he'll last much longer. Knives, on the other hand, isn't troubled too much by the smoke.

You think you pwnd me? Say I should gg? n00b I let you know the only thing OP is me! Time to try to get creative here! Stampede you probably going to die on the first turn but just in case you don't set up a 15 HP Substitute the use Rock Blast twice on Shobi... Dunno, there's not much you can do. Knives, we are going to try as hard as we can to take Shobi down. Launch yourself at her like a Waterfall and then Scratch your claws into her face and latch on. With your claws stuck in her face I want you to use Rapid Spin with your claws still dug into her face for what should be a sure critical hit!

To reiterate:
Stampede: Sub 15 HP - Rock Blast x2 on Shobi
Knives: Waterfall @Shobi's face - Scratch (latch on to Shobi's face) - Rapid Spin (with claws dug into Shobi's face (crit please?))

o.o

Great job Shobi, let's see how you fare against your next opponent. Finish your first one off with a Mega Drain, then turn to Knives and quickly use an Absorb and another Mega Drain.

Yaku, you should take more of a bodyguard role now. Since Stampede will be dead by the time you're up, shoot a Thunderbolt at Knives. Try and use the impact to knock Knives away from Shobi, preventing him from latching on. Follow that up with an Acid Spray, then another Thunderbolt.

Shobi: MEGA DRAIN (STAMPEDE) - ABSORB - MEGA DRAIN
Yaku: THUNDERBOLT - ACID SPRAY - THUNDERBOLT

Sorry, I forgot to account for Grimer's Stench ability in its attacks. For some reason, I thought it only applied to contact attacks. Since flinches could potentially change a lot of specifics but overall Engineer Pikachu is still winning, I'm just going to say that none of Grimer's attacks up to this point flinched. I'll roll for flinches from here on out though.

Shobi Mega Drains the real Stampede this time and takes the last of his life force. As Stampede is returned to the pokeball, Knives charges at Shobi like a raging Waterfall, but gets zapped by Yaku's Thunderbolt. However, the suddenness of Knives' attack has scared Shobi into doing nothing as Knives Scratches her face. But Shobi has the last laugh as her ability kicks in and poisons the Kabuto, just in time for her to receive a Spray of Acid from Yaku. Seizing the opportunity, Shobi Mega Drains Knives, undoing the damage from her previous attack, but Knives does not let go of the Budew's face as she Spins Rapidly, causing even more scratches that look deeper than the previous ones. But after a second Thunderbolt from Yaku, I don't think Knives is in any condition to win this match.

... It doesn't have Rapid Spin...? (Checks moves) FUUUUUUUUU... Ah well, gg. Waterfall on Shobi, Rock Slide twice if all the moves miss miraculously.

Shobi begins with a Sleep Powder that makes Knives slightly drowsy, but not enough to put her to sleep. Knives charges like a Waterfall at Shobi once more, but Yaku zaps her with one more Thunderbolt and she is down and out.
