BW OU Team *need help*

Hey guys I'm back with another wifi team. This is something I threw together and I want it as solid as possible so I can battle better with it. Also a thing to note is that this team hates stall.

Rotom-w *@ choice scarf
Trait: levitate
EV's:. 4 HP | 252 SAtk | 252 Spe
*Nature: Timid [-Atk, + Spe]
-hyrdro pump
-volt switch
-hidden power fire
-trick
Scarf rotom is a fricken beast because it is has decent bulk .good speed, and modest special attack. The purpose of this rotom is to force switches so it can trick opponents or revenge kill.*
** **The EV's are to give maximum special attack. Hydro pump and volt switch are for main STAB attacks while HP fire is to take out ferrothorn and scizor. Trick is to cripple blissey which loves to switch in on this thing.

Latios @ choice specs
Trait: levitate
EV's:. 4 HP | 252 SAtk | 252 Spe
*Nature: Timid [-Atk, + Spe]
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-trick
I have another trickster that uses a choice specs to trick. I like latios because of it's amazing speed and power. Also it can run a lot of sets like calm mind, scarf, specs, life orb or expert belt. I basically used specs latios as a way to have a lot of extra power to hammer a lot of things late game.*
** * So I gave latios max speed and special attack so it can outspeed all base 110's and so it can hit a lot of threats to my team hard. Draco is for bulkier threats while thunderbolt and surf are to hit other for super effective damage and so I don't the -2 special attack drop. Also trick is to cripple things like walls that don't use special attacks like ferrothorn and others like scizor.

Gliscor *@ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EV's:. 252 HP | 184 Def | 72 Spe
*Nature: Impish [-SAtk, +Def ]
-swords Dance
-Earthquake
-ice fang
-Protect
Gliscor is another beast this gen because it gets poison heal. I used an SD set because it can stall for HP and can be offensive to. Plus this set is good because gliscor is really bulky.
** * So the EV's are to give it enough speed to outspeed magnezone and also to give it enough bulk to wall conkeldurr and excadrill. Swords Dance is expected on this set while earthquake is to give it a main STAB attack. Ice fang is to kill dragons that can switch in on this and for levitates and flying type pokes.

485.gif

Heatran @ Air Baloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EV's:. 4 HP | 252 SAtk | 252 Spe
*Nature: Modest[-Atk, + SAtk]
-Stealth Rock
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-dragon Pulse/ Hidden power Ice

Heatran is another really good stealth rocker and special attacker because of how it can Use ballon to it's advantage. Also because heatran has good bulk and can counter excadrill with it's balloon still attached.
** * The EV's are to give it enough speed to outspeed gliscor without speed EV's and also it can pack a lot of power with a modest nature. Also it uses stealth rock so it can make sure things take some residual damage on the switch in. And fire blast and earth power are to sort of take on a lot of pokemon that are not water while dragon pulse or HP ice are to take out dragons.

534.gif

Conkeldurr@ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EV's:. 252 HP | 4 Atk | 252 SDef
*Nature: Careful [-SAtk, +SDef]
-Bulk up
-Drain Punch
-Mach Punch
-Payback

Conkeldurr *is my favorite fighting type this gen because of its amazing bulk to utilize a Bulk up set. With *access to drain punch and Mach punch it can become a great bulky sweeper and revenge killer.
** * The EV's are to give conk enough special bulk so when it uses bulk up it becomes a great tank. Bulk up is to boost attack and defense while drain punch is to recover off a lot of HP from the amount of attack it gained and so it can stay at a healthy HP. Mach punch is to take out anything that is low enough to be taken out. Payback is to take out reuniclus because of how if it is calm mind like most of *them are they can't OHKO without a boost while they are 2HKO'd by conkeldurr.

598.gif

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EV's:. 252 HP | *60 Def | 196 SDef| 0 Spe IV's
*Nature: *Sassy [-Spe, *+SDef]
-Spikes
-leech seed
-gyro ball
-power whip

Finally ferrothorn is used as a very bulky wall so it can wall things set up a leech seed or entry hazards. Also ferrothorn can take a lot of hits so it can KO rotom with the power whip while gyro ball is used as a way to take out faster threats like gengar who can't OHKO with the focus blast.
** * The EV's are to give it about even bulk on both sides so it becomes a great mixed wall. Spikes is for hazards while leech seed is for recovery and also gyro ball and power whip are to give ferrothorn a way to attack things.

You don't seem to have a way to beat opposing Conkeldurr. On Latios you could use Psyshock/Psychic. Psyshock helps you to also beat Blissey/Chansey.

I run Spec Latios with Draco Meteor, Surf, Psyshock, & Trick. It works well crippling enemy walls & giving me leftovers or physical sweepers' Life Orb. Just don't trick something like Tentacruel or Toxicroak without seeing if they got Black Sludge on them.

One of the first things I noticed is that you have 2 Choice Pokemon, which can end up destructive sometimes.

Next I noticed that you don't have a designated lead. even Team preview screwing it up, its good to have Fake Out + Taunt to get some momentum on your part.

So how do you fix that? Replace that Rotom-W with Mienshao / Thundurus (though I'm pretty sure it will get banned this round), using the first set on the Serebii POTW / Prankster set on the analysis.

Though I really prefer this on my Ferrothorns, try Protect over Power Whip to stall out Leech Seed damage a little bit longer.

Next, use Flame Orb over Leftovers, as you already have Drain Punch for recovery.

Hidden Power Ice is much, much, much, much , much, MUCH better than Dragon Pulse on Heatran, and use Overheat over Stealth Rock, to get some KOs on pokemon who resist it.

Saw your vm so here I am. Your team looks solid and there aren't many huge changes I would make. How has that Conkeldurr spread been working out for you, it looks like you'll be missing the power and Latios can still come in and revenge with Specs Draco Meteor/Psyshock,

Draco Meteor
538 Atk vs 251 Def & 414 HP (140 Base Power): 322 - 381 (77.78% - 92.03%)

Psyshock
538 Atk vs 226 Def & 414 HP (80 Base Power): 408 - 482 (98.55% - 116.43%)

I think just Adamant with 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD would be fine here, you might not be able to live a DM but you'll dish out more power and it would help against threats like Excadrill.

It looks like Calm Mind Virizion might be a bit annoying to you and I never really thought Thunderbolt was needed on BW Specs Latios, try Psyshock out it can help against Fighters without having to rely on Meteors and will still hit things like Jellicent (you aren't weak to Energy Ball Jellicent!!). Taunt can be a nice option over Protect on Gliscor to make it easier for you to get an SD while stopping Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Skarmory from setting up hazards, it can also help against certain Calm Mind Reuniclus which you don't seem to like facing.

Designated leads are not needed in this metagame because of Team Preview and while Mienshao might be cool to have I'm not sure where you could fit it on your team without opening some other weakness.

I agree with everything else in what he said accept this. Designated leads may have gotten nerfed a bit by Team Preview, but that doesn't mean they aren't good. In my eyes, the team preview helped them a bit. If there is a counter to your lead on your team, switch it with something (Example: Opponent has Conkeldurr and you lead with Ambipom, and switch into Latios) to counter it. Fake Out + Taunt can give huge momentum into the battle, and make Baton Pass leads like Ninjask and Gorebyss virtually useless, and it makes sure that entry hazards aren't on the field. EDIT: You could also use Whimsicott, that would be a pretty good idea, try the Dual Status spread:

Whimsicott@Focus Sash
ability: Prankster
nature: random
evs: defensive
move 1: Stun Spore
move 2: Toxic
move 3: Taunt
move 4: filller

I read what you said about the momentum but that is the whole purpose of the team preview in general cause once you make that vital switch it cause you to put the game in your hands & raises the overall potential of your team rather than having one pokemon set for one job at the beginning & being only fodder later on.

It seems like I say this alot on these forums but it's just.... so... fucking.... STANDARD. I could look at the pokemon you sent out if I was against you and guess exactly what your running down to the EVs and Natures. Gimmicks are often frowned upon, especially here but they win battles! Conkelderp's nature is the only thing I might mess up on and the fact is it hurts more than it helps because it mean Conk doesn't hit as hard as usual and hitting hard is what he is intended to do. If you look at it the way I do the he actually loses longevity this way as he needs to do damage to recover HP. So my advice is Adamant nature and think of so gimmicks. This team actually looks fairly decent but it's predictable and uses very common mons, making you the hapless sap of a trainer who smart battler actually build their teams to counter. My pokemon motto is that when you look at an analysis page, don't copy & paste it try to do the something completely different.

Hi

You got some good suggestions so far and I second the alternative EV spread on Conkuldurr as well as the Taunt suggestion on Gliscor (instead of Protect).

To help a little with the weakness to Thunderus, CM Virizion and Volcarona you could try to make Heatran a bit more specially defensive with Toxic in it's moveset. Heatran can in fact take an unboosted Focus Blast from both Thunderus and Virizion while it can Toxic Volcarona and outstall it.

I know it's not much, but I hope this helped.
