Dragonboy vs Lyris in the park of Objection's imagination

Due to the mess of posts that it took to come to this agreement, I'm not gonna quote.

2v2 doubles
One ability
No items
Switch = KO
DQ time (since it was never specified) is 3 days for battlers and 7 days for the ref (but the ref will not take 7 days to ref each round)

Arena: Park of Imagination

A grassy park with a pond in the middle. Pokemon cannot use any moves at all. Instead, before each round begins, several random objects will appear (the ref decides how many, what they are and their effects - they can be literally anything so go nuts) and pokemon must use these objects to do anything.

Here are some general rules regarding items:
  • All objects are usable by all pokemon with roughly equal capability.
  • Picking up an object always takes an action and costs 3 energy unless specified otherwise.
    • If an object's description says you can pick two up in one action, you can do this and it will cost 6 energy.
    • An object that has been picked up can be dropped. This takes an action but has no energy cost.
    • An object that has been picked up can be given to an ally. This takes an action and costs 3 energy.
  • Throwing an object, swinging an object, equipping an object, shooting an object or using an object in any way always takes an action unless specified otherwise. The energy cost varies between items and commands.
    • If an object can be picked up, it needs to be picked up before it can be used. If not, it can be used immediately.
  • A pokemon may only hold up to two objects at once and may only equip one object at a time.
    • 2-handed objects (eg, a battleaxe) will take up both hold item slots.
  • Objects that do typed damage do not get a STAB bonus unless specified otherwise.

And now let's meet the teams:

Team Dragonboy

Garchomp(*) (Male)

Nature: Adamant

Type:

Dragon/Ground

Dragon: Dragon STAB; Roar has have Energy Cost reduced by one (1). (Dragonite line can breathe underwater.)

So, what has Objection's imagination brought us this time? A lot of things falling from the sky, that's what. The first of these is a warhammer. That thing looks heavy and could probably make some earthquakes. The next item is a laser gun with many different settings. Let's hope the current setting is not kill. A pair of boxing gloves - the Killing Gloves of Boxing - land either side of the pond in the middle. Looks like there's only two so the pokemon will have to share. Next, however, something rises up from the ground instead of falling from the sky: two ice flowers. Their cold blasts could have a pretty big effect in this match. Finally, an oddly familiar scepter falls out of the sky and lands near the laser gun. I wonder what would happen if a pokemon tried waving it around.

Objects on the ground

Warhammer x 1
  • Requires two hands
  • Can be picked up
  • Can be swung at another pokemon for 7 energy
    • Swinging the warhammer like this counts as a 10 BP physical steel-type attack with -1 priority and a 20% chance of next action flinch
    • Base accuracy is 80
  • Can be slammed into the ground for 7 energy
    • Slamming the warhammer into the ground counts as a 12 BP physical ground-type attack that has -1 priority and affects all other pokemon on the field
    • Base accuracy is 100

Laser gun x 1
  • Can be picked up
  • Can be fired for 7 energy
    • Firing the laser gun counts as a 5 BP special attack of whatever type the user chooses
    • Base accuracy is 100 - (target's speed - firer's speed)
  • Once fired six times, the laser gun will give a minor electric shock to the holder and become unusable
    • The electric shock does 5 damage to the holder unless the holder is electric-type, ground-type or has an ability that makes it immune to electric attacks
    • Such abilities will not be activated by this
    • Regardless of whether or not the shock does damage, the laser gun will be dropped automatically

Killing Gloves of Boxing x 2
  • Can be picked up
  • Can be equipped for 3 energy
  • Once equipped, the pokemon can use a punch command for 5 energy
    • Punching counts as a 8 BP physical fighting-type attack with a high critical hit ratio
    • Base accuracy is 100
    • Fighting-types get STAB on this command
    • Consecutive uses of the punch command have 1 less BP per consecutive use (so if the command is used three times in a row, it will have 7 BP the second time and 6 BP the third)

Ice Flower x 2
  • Requires two hands
  • Can be picked up
  • Can be used to shoot a ball of ice for 6 energy
    • Shooting a ball of ice counts as an 8 BP special ice-type attack
    • On consecutive uses, this has a 10% chance of lowering the target's speed by 1 stage
    • Base accuracy is 100 - (target's speed - user's speed)
  • Once used three times, the ice flower disintegrates

Scepter x 1
  • Can be picked up
  • Can be waved around for 7 energy
    • The scepter will have no effect unless it is waved around on two consecutive actions
    • Waving the scepter on two consecutive actions has a predetermined but unknown effect

So ... dragonboy sends out his mons first (done that), then lyris sends out her mons (done that) and gives orders, then dragonboy gives orders, then I ref.

All right, My-Kario, time to show em' who's fastest!
Pick up Scepter (random hand) ~ Pick up Killer Boxing Glove (other hand) ~ Equip Killer Boxing Glove
Kumasyun, you might be slow, but I should call you strong instead!
Pick up Laser Gun ~ Fire Ice Laser @Garchomp ~ Fire Fighting Laser @Porygon2
If laser gun is picked up by the opposing 1st:
Pick up Ice Flower ~ Shoot Ice Ball @Garchomp x2
Kari's ability will be Inner Focus.

Garchomp pick up the warhammer then Swing it at Cubchoo, Twice.
Porygon2 pick up the lazer Gun and Shoot two Ground Lazers at Lucario.

In the beginning, there were four. And these four sought out objects littered around the Park of Imagination. For Kari the Lucario, the scepter was what interested her most. For Garchomp, it was the warhammer he wanted. For Porygon2, the laser gun that didn't seem to fit in. And for Kumasyun the Cubchoo, an ice flower with its natural icy powers. So, how will the pokemon use these objects?

Well, Kari doesn't do anything with the scepter yet, instead grabbing a Killing Glove of Boxing with her free hand. However, just as she picks it up, she is shot in the back by a laser from Porygon2. Garchomp and Kumasyun are locked in battle with each other. Kumasyun shoots a ball of ice while Garchomp swings the warhammer down on her, but both attacks miss completely!

Kari then puts on the Killing Glove of Boxing and feels ready to take on anyone. Porygon2 fires another laser but this one misses. Garchomp tries another warhammer swing on the Cubchoo but Kumasyun barely dodges it. She fires another ice ball at the frustrated Garchomp, hitting him on the leg this time.

It looks like whoever is coming up with these objects is tired of the lack of direct hits, as two laser sights fall from the sky, along with a small shield that might help protect a pokemon. But nothing else appears. What will happen next in this battle?

The battle rages on - Kari lands a mighty punch on Porygon2, who runs away and picks up a laser sight, while Kumasyun shoots one more ball of ice at Garchomp before the ice flower disintegrates in her hand. Garchomp finally lands a blow with his warhammer and it hurts the Cubchoo hard.

Kari then senses something odd with the scepter so she tries waving it around. This doesn't do anything, but while she's trying that, Porygon2 blasts her with a laser, despite not equipping the laser sight. Porygon2 must have pretty good natural aim to pull that off. Garchomp brings his warhammer down on Kumasyun once again while the Cubchoo runs away and picks up the other laser sight.

Kari once again tries waving the scepter around, but this time something odd does happen. The scepter flies out of her hand and into the air, and then starts spinning rapidly. Garchomp drops his warhammer on the ground in awe while Kumasyun equips her laser sight to help her aim a little. Only Porygon2 seems undisturbed as it fires another laser at Kari, hitting once again. Lucky son of a gun.

And then it happens. The scepter transforms into a small devil-like creature! The creature runs up to Kari and thanks her profusely for helping him transform back to normal. He introduces himself as Red, but Kari doesn't seem bothered about the name. When Red asks how he can repay his debt, Kari simply points at Garchomp and Porygon2 and glares angrily at them. Red seems to get the hint as he stands by Kari's side in a battle-ready pose. Somehow, he also has a pitchfork.

Red (Male)
Nature: Bashful

Type: Dark

Pitchfork x 1
  • Can be picked up
  • While being held, the user can use a jab command for 6 energy
    • Jabbing counts as an 8 BP physical dark-type attack
    • Base accuracy is 100
    • Dark-types get STAB on this command
    • The base power of this command is increased by 2 for every time a pokemon has been jabbed (so second time is 10 BP, third time is 12, etc.)

Finally, two TNT crates fall from the sky. Miraculously, they do not explode upon hitting the ground.

A few things:
  1. Don't forget to check whether an item needs equipping or uses two hands. From now on, I won't be giving reminders. If you try to pick up an object when you have your hands full, or you try to use an object when you haven't picked it up (or equipped it if it needs equipping first), I'll deduct energy for trying to do whatever you're trying to do and the action will fail.
  2. Don't forget to check how many of a particular item is on the ground when making substitutions. If in doubt, phrase your substitutions like "If there are no more footballs on the ground, do this".
  3. Red is, to all intents and purposes, a pokemon on Lyris' team. She still gives three actions per pokemon (giving her a total of 9 per round). However, Red does not need to be KO'd for Dragonboy to win. If Kari and Kumasyun are KO'd, Red will immediately leave the battle.

Lyris is up now.

You're outnumbered! ;)
Kari: Pick up WarHammer ~ Swing @Garchomp ~ Punch @Garchomp
Kumasyun: Pick up TNT Crate ~ Throw TNT Crate @Garchomp ~ Pick up Ice Flower
Red: Jab @Porygon2 x3

Garchomp pickup the boxing glove, Equip it then punch Cubachoo.
Porygon 2 wait till Cubachoo carries the TNT crate then shoot a Fighting laser at him, Then fire a ground laser at Lucario. Then drop the laser gun.

Now that Kari and Kumasyun have an ally, how will this battle go down? Well, Red figures that the best thing he can do is jab Porygon2 with his pitchfork. Kari decides that her current weapon by itself is no good so she picks up the warhammer that Garchomp dropped earlier, while Garchomp picks up the second Killing Glove of Boxing. Porygon2 aims his laser gun at Kumasyun but appears to be waiting for something. Kumasyun senses this and decides not to move. The two of them stare each other down for a few minutes before Porygon2 cracks and fires his laser at the Cubchoo. Despite taking some heavy damage from that, Kumasyun seems satisfied as she finally walks up to a TNT crate and picks it up. The TNT crate starts to count down in her hands.

Red still considers Porygon2 to be his main target and pokes him again. This does a little more damage to the cyber pokemon than the previous poke did. However, Kari and Kumasyun are moving a little slow. Porygon2 takes advantage of this by firing one more laser at Kari and getting a headshot. I guess that laser sight wasn't necessary for Porygon2 after all ... but suddenly Porygon2 gets an electric shock! This causes him to drop the laser gun on the ground and the laser gun slowly fades out of existence. Garchomp equips his Killing Glove of Boxing and is ready to punch ... but suddenly Kari slams her warhammer down on him with huge force. This alone wouldn't be too bad, but moments later Kumasyun throws a well-aimed TNT crate that hits the Garchomp on the side of the head. That'll leave him stunned for a while.

As Red prods Porygon2 one more time, Dragonboy's pokemon appear to be incapable of doing anything. Garchomp is still dazed from the TNT crate and Porygon2 is trying to drop something it's not even holding. Seizing the opporunity, Kari punches Garchomp, but his rough skin leaves a mark on the Lucario. Kumasyun picks up the second ice flower and prepares herself for what might happen next.

So all that's left on the ground is the shield and a TNT crate. It seems like the imagination isn't happy with this and several new items appear. Firstly, something rises up out of the pond. It's a statue of the lesser-known god Asclepius, the god of healing. Then stuff starts falling from the sky: five throwing daggers land all around the pond along with five blobs of ... something. I'm not sure what those things are. Finally, a card lands in front of the statue. It looks like a disarm card - this thing alone could turn the tide of this battle! But will any of the pokemon take these new items?

Objects on the ground

Small shield x 1
  • Can be picked up
  • While held, any attacks that hit the holder have a 10% chance of hitting the shield instead
    • The shield is treated as a 20 HP pokemon with rank 3 defences
    • The shield will protect from any spillover damage (so a 25 damage attack that hits the shield will do no damage to the holder)

TNT crate x 1
  • Requires two hands
  • Can be picked up
  • Can be thrown for 7 energy
  • Throwing counts as a 25 BP physical normal-type attack that prevents the target from doing anything on its next action
    • After being thrown, the TNT crate explodes on contact with anything
  • Base accuracy is 100 - (target's speed - thrower's speed)
  • Once picked up, the TNT crate will explode after 3 actions if not thrown in that time
    • The counter starts from when it is picked up, so if it is picked up on action 1, it will explode on action 3
  • If the holder is attacked and hit while holding the TNT crate, it explodes in their hand
  • A premature explosion (ie, one that happens before the TNT crate is thrown) counts as a 15 BP physical normal-type attack that prevents the holder from doing anything on its next action

Statue of Asclepius x 1
  • Cannot be picked up
  • At the end of every action, all pokemon that are not KO'd restore 10 HP and 5 energy
    • This effect lasts for 2 rounds
  • Can be targeted with attacks
    • All attacks have 100% base accuracy against the statue
    • The statue will be destroyed after being hit by 3 attacks or 1 TNT crate
    • Destroying the statue ends its effect

Throwing dagger x 5
  • Up to two can be picked up in one action
  • Can be thrown for 5 energy
    • Throwing a dagger counts as a 4 BP physical steel-type attack with +1 priority and a high critical hit ratio
    • Base accuracy is 100 - (target's speed - thrower's speed)
    • If a dagger misses, it will land on the ground and can be picked up again later
    • A critical hit will cause the target to bleed for 2 damage per action
    • This attack is completely ineffective against statues
  • Can be aimed for 2 energy
    • Aiming on the action before a throw will increase the base accuracy to 100%

Blob of strange matter x 5
  • Up to two can be picked up in one action
  • Can be thrown for 5 energy
    • Throwing a blob of strange matter counts as an 8 BP special attack of whatever type the thrower is
    • If the thrower has two types, the attack has 4 BP of each of the thrower's types
    • Base accuracy is 100 - (target's speed - thrower's speed)
    • If a blob misses, it will land on the ground and can be picked up again later
    • This attack is completely ineffective against statues

Disarm card x 1
  • Can be picked up
  • Can be played against a pokemon for 12 energy
  • When played, the target drops all held and equipped items on the ground
  • Can only be used once

And it's Dragonboy's turn now.

Yes. However, equipped items do not take up a hold item slot.

EDIT: In case that wasn't clear enough, your Garchomp can pick up two knives but your Porygon2 can only pick up one because it is holding an unequipped laser sight.

Porygon 2 pickup 2 throwing Knives, Then throw them at Cubachoo one after the other.
Garchomp pickup the Disarm Card then punch Cubachoo then punch Lucario.
If there are no Disarm cards, pickup the TNT crate then throw it at Lucario, then punch Lucario.

Ignoring Red was a really bad choice. Let's do this, my Disruptive side!
Kari: Drop Warhammer ~ Pick up 2 Throwing Daggers ~ Throw Throwing Dagger @Porygon2
Kumasyun: Shoot Ice Ball x3 @Garchomp
Once Garchomp is KO'd, redirect the rest of your attacks @Proygon2
Red: Pick up Disarm Card ~ Play Disarm Card @Garchomp ~ Jab @Porygon2

With the new items, there is a shift in strategy. Red stops poking Porygon2 with his pitchfork and nabs the Disarm card before anyone else can get it. Kari puts her warhammer down while Garchomp picks up the TNT crate, triggering a countdown. Porygon2 tries to pick up two throwing daggers, but for once the laser sight it forgot to equip is holding it back and Porygon2 only picks up one throwing dagger. Kumasyun shoots an ice ball at Garchomp, confident that her equipped laser sight will ensure a direct hit. It was actually a little more direct than normal. But at that moment, everyone experiences an invigorating sensation as the god of healing restores some of their vitality and energy.

Armed with a powerful tool, Red plays his Disarm card and suddenly Garchomp drops the TNT crate and the Killing Glove of Boxing he equipped earlier. Luckily, the TNT crate doesn't explode just yet, so Garchomp runs away from it, only to be hit by another ice ball from Kumasyun. However, Porygon2 hurls his throwing dagger at the Cubchoo and lands a critical hit that causes Kumasyun to bleed! Kari, having freed both of her hands, picks up two throwing daggers and stands ready to throw. As she does, Asclepius' healing powers take effect once more.

Now satisfied that the Disarm card has worked as intended, Red goes back to jabbing Porygon2, who then tries to throw a dagger that he doesn't have. Kari, on the other hand, throws a dagger successfully at Porygon2, but doesn't cause any bleeding. Garchomp considers punching Kari but realises that he doesn't have a boxing glove on any more. As he considers this, Kumasyun shoots the ice flower one last time, causing it to disintegrate and very nearly bring Garchomp down. But he hangs in there just long enough to benefit from Asclepius' healing once again. The TNT crate that he dropped earlier suddenly explodes, but the blast is too small to reach anyone.

This time, only one item falls from the sky and, to Garchomp, Kari, Kumasyun and Red, it's completely useless. It might, however, be the saving grace that Porygon2 needs. It's an old computer called the Tandy 400; once used for checking e-mails, it has become rather damaged over time but perhaps Porygon2 can get it working again?

With the swiftness of a coursing river, Red brings more pitchfork-related pain to Porygon2 while Kari throws her second throwing dagger at it, this time dealing a heavy blow and causing bleeding. I didn't know a pokemon made of data could bleed, but oh well. The other three pokemon pick up some more items: Garchomp goes for the warhammer, Porygon2 grabs a blob of strange matter and Kumasyun picks up two blobs of strange matter. Although the statue of Asclepius heals everyone some more, I don't think Dragonboy's team can hold out much longer. Maybe if they'd focused their attacks a bit more on Red and perhaps prevented some of the pitchfork pokes.

Speaking of which, Porygon2 is once again on the receiving end of a pitchfork attack from Red, but this time he's also taking a Killing Glove of Boxing punch from Kari, and this unfortunately knocks him out. He never made it to the Tandy 400. It's all up to Garchomp and his warhammer now. Garchomp swings the warhammer and hits Kumasyun, but this doesn't stop her from throwing one of the blobs at him. Asclepius' healing powers take effect once again, causing Kari to feel particularly revitalised.

Garchomp tries to hang in there, but after being jabbed for the first time by Red's pitchfork and being punched for the second time by Kari, he just can't hold on and he drops to the ground. Team Lyris has won the match! Red starts to cheer, and then he says that he needs to go find Ashley and walks off into the distance. Kari and Kumasyun don't spend much time wondering who that is though because, all of a sudden, all of the objects in the Park of Imagination disappear! In their place, two bottles of champagne appear on the ground. Looks like whoever's dreaming up these items wants the two pokemon to celebrate their win.

Wow, my 1st win of all time! Thank you, and Good Game dragonboy33!
BTW, why alcohol? I'd rather not risk it. LOL
Last of all, you got this wrong:
In the event that Porygon2 Garchomp and Kumasyun Kari is already fully evolved and has unlocked its DW ability, it gets 3 MC instead of the usual 1/2/1.

No, I already accounted for Garchomp and Kari (notice how their prizes are listed as 3 MC). I was saying that if, somehow, Porygon2 and Kumasyun had become fully evolved and unlocked their DW abilities before this match's end then they'd get 3 MC.

In other words, if between the start and end of this match your Kumasyun evolved into Beartic and unlocked its DW ability, it gets 3 MC from this battle. If not, then it gets the usual 1/2/1. Same for Porygon2.
