The ASB Tournament Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

Our first match-up will be Machamp vs Dragonite! It will be interesting to see how this goes down.

The coin flips, twirls into the air, and falls down...! Smashlloyd20 will issue commands first!

Jill (Dragonite) also has Substitute and Protect in her movepool. Unfortunately, I'm stupid when it comes to linking and everything, so my Prize claim is here (post 43).
Let's go Jill. You went into Beast Mode last time, let's do it again (a little luck wouldn't hurt though).
Let's start the round by creating a 25 HP Substitute. That will protect us from that Machamp's attacks for this round. Then let's hit Machamp with a Hurricane, followed by a Dragon Pulse.

After weeks and weeks of waiting, our fans are going absolutely ballistic as the second round of this tournament commences! Over the deafning roars, we see our two challengers, smashlloyd20 and danmantincan, enter the arena. After a coin flip, it is decided that smash will issue commands first. The first round can be critical towards the outcome of the match, so let's see how things work out.

The battle starts! Jill is much faster than Chuck Norris and quickly creates a puff of smoke, creating a 25HP Substitute Jill! Chuck Norris is still trying to get used to his contacts and didn't notice that there are two dragons flying about, so he aims at the substitute. Despite being slow, Chuck Norris uses his hands to throw himself to the substitute, and all of his four arms dissapear in a blur as he dynamically punches the living crap out of the doll. Unfortunately, the attack didn't too a lot, apparently. Why? Well, Jill's Multiscale ability halves all damage done to her and her sub this round.

Ironically, Chuck Norris is confused as to why his punch did not confuse this Dragonite. Jill meanwhile sneaks behind him and starts to flap her wings furiously. She then starts to spin in a circle, generating a violent Hurricane that sweeps CN up and throws him away. Norris's martial arts skill aren't enough for him to avoid such an attack, but he quickly recovers from the move. His head a bit dizzy, Chuck Norris's fist become icy-cold as he cartwheels towards the substitute and punches it right in the belly with an Ice Punch. The substitute doll sways but does not shatter, once again, due to Multiscale.

Jill chuckles softly. Norris has his back turned on her, so Jill launches a powerful pulse of dragon energy right at his back. This catches Norris by complete suprise, resulting in a critical hit! Once again, though, the Machamp can quickly recover from any assault. Norris quickly gets up, and with all of his might, Ice Punches the substitute repeatedly until the accursed doll finally shatters into a million pieces.

Jill: 25 HP Substitute. Costs 24 energy. -25 HP.
CN: DynamicPunch on Sub. Deals 5.865 (Multiscale) damage. Costs 7 energy.

Jill: Hurricane on Machamp. Deals 24.75 damage. Costs 7 energy.
CN: Ice Punch on Sub. Deals 19.065 (Multiscale) damage. Costs 6 energy.

Jill: Dragon Pulse on Machamp. Critical hit! Deals 13.5 damage. Costs 6 energy.
CN: Ice Punch on Sub. Deals 19.065 (Multiscale) damage. Breaks sub! Costs 8 energy.

danmantincan will go first. The battle has moved towards the southern end of the arena- about 30 feet southeast from the center.

Huzzah! It's now time to spam some attacks!

Hurricane~Hurricane~Hurricane

If he uses Dynamic Punch, set up a 15 HP Substitute to take the attack. (But don't try to set up a Substitute if you already have one intact)

Ok, time to get risky here.

Combine Ice Punch and Dynamicpunch for an Icy Dynamicpunch! This should trigger his Substituting reflex and waste an action, but the Ice Punch should cause the Substitute to break! Then just fire off another Ice Punch!

And I'm jumping right into the fray as the tourney match continues!

The air around Chuck Norris seems to be growing colder, as his lower fists glow blue, whilst his upper fists glow a maroon, as the giant lumbers towards Jill. Jill, sensing great danger, generates a Small Substitute (15 Recoil / 12 EN / 15 HP Substitute. Chuck reaches the Substitute, who is faces away from him. Chuck grapples it from behind with the 2 blue Ice Punches, freezing the sub slightly, before crushing the skull of the substitute with his 2 upper fists using DynamicPunch, but even then slighty cold. The substitute explodes from the combo, and a small crater is left from the impact (46 Damage / 15 EN).

Chuck Norris seems tired and suprised that Jill had vanished. But she hadn't vanished, as she rose behind Chuck, blocking out the sun. Eyes glowing white, she screams that the pose Chuck when taking down the substitute looked a lot like rape, and before he can reply he's being beaten to near death by a Critical Hit Hurricane, which flings Chuck into the air (32 Damage / 7 EN).

: 30/64
: 60/45

Just before Chuck can land, he finds himself being propelled up by another Hurricane (27 Damage / 11 EN). As Machamp is flung up, he realises he has an oppurtunity, and as the swirling vortex ceases to exist, he crashes into Jill with a Ice Punch from the sky. That looks like it hurt Dragonite's horn, but has left no signs of being overly powerful or lasting effects (28 Damage / 6 EN).

DANMANTICAN OO
Jill (F)

32 HP / 28 EN
Thunder Wave ~ Surf ~ Ice Beam

The round begins with Brave Bird being released, and instantly clamping down on a spare rock with a Thunder Fang (6 EN). That's not a nice feel, although it's useful as Jill tries to cripple Aerodactyl with a Thunder Wave (7 EN), but the electricity is grounded through the thunder fang. Nice move!

: 100/94
: 32/21

Brave Bird decides to leave Jill in pain, and goes in with a Stone Edge (26 Damage / 6 EN). Jill dislikes recieving stony tails to the face, and sends a command to the water, causing it to spout of it's little puddle, and slam into Brave Bird with a Surf, before it funnely back into it's little pond (20 Damage / 7 EN).

: 80/88
: 8/14

Brave bird simply finishes up the round by launching a Critical Hit Stone Edge (31 Damage / 10 EN) at Jill, the spikes on its tail gouging out Jill's eyes. Painful.

Let's go Kieran! Start the round with a Seed Bomb. Then Counter his Sky Attack and Counter his Stone Edge. If his Stone Edge misses, use Fire Spin to trap him instead.

ROUND FIVE:

It seems like this tournament battle between smashlloyd20 and danmantincan is coming to an end! Let's see how this turns out.

danmantincan sends out his last pokemon, Kieran the Pyorak! It seems like Brave Bird has a clear advantage, but who knows? He starts off by Taunting the Pyroak, from high in the sky. The Pyroak is so mad that he wants to kill that Aerodactyl so bad! He fires a Seed Bomb, and amazing invention made my Grass-types, directly at Brave Bird. It explodes, causing a few cracks in Brave Bird's skin.

Brave Bird then flies high into the sky, so high that no one knows where he is. But Kieran knows he is coming down, and prepares for it. Brave Bird swoops down from the sky, approaching with a deadly attack. It hits Kieran, and clearly damages him severely. He Counters the attack, using the momentum to launch himself forward. The Aerodactyl takes even more damage, and flies back up for another attack.

This time, he uses the sharp points of his body, and uses the Stone Edge to whack into Kieran. Once again the Grass/Fire takes a ton of damage, but he uses the same tactic again! He uses the momentum to Counter the attack, once again doing even more damage then taken. This time the Aerodactyl can't take it anymore, and crashes to the ground. The battle is over, and danmantincan has won!
