Challenging Tortferngatr

1v1 Singles
DQ: 1 Day
3 Recovers/5 Chills

It is the Australian Outback. There are cactuses (or is it cacti?), plenty of soil to dig into and Sunny Day is always in effect. There is a chance that a Sandstorm will occur at the start of a round (80% chance), and when it does, it lasts for a furious 5 Rounds. Water Types do not thrive in these conditions, thus have a 5% chance that their attacks fail (Water type moves, that is). Ice Types are even less suited, so they have a 5% that their attacks fail (Ice type moves, that is). Water and Ice type attacks are nerfed by 1 Damage in this arena as well. Grass and Fire types thrive, so they get a 1 Damage boost to each of their respective attacks (which does not stack). Ground and Rock types receive 1 less Damage (this does not stack) in these conditions.

Tort chooses mons and orders, Blast orders, I ref. GO.

After repeatedly surveying his team in what little time he had (and still feeling nauseous about the speedreffing rules/the fact he'd been suckered into a biased arena in the first place,) Victor chose to send out Sealeo. Cranidos was strong, but too incapable of defense, Monohm was Taunt bait, and lacked the ability to reliably take him out. That left Sealeo, and as much as he hated to admit it, Sealeo was his best short at taking this guy down.

"Alright-Hail! Bring the joy of ice to this wasteland with your magical seal powers! Then Blizzard and Aurora Beam!
If Sealeo Taunts you turn 1, Protect yourself!"

My main concern was that before the hotfix Gligar would have been a total crapshoot to hit. I was annoyed by the potential for hax; since Sealeo's chances to hit Gligar would have been fairly low, I was quite annoyed.

Hopefully this will work out now-and now that there's time, I hope the ref will edit in better flavor. Hail, Blizzard, Aurora Beam.
