Welcome to the Pinnacle Ruins for what is shaping up to be a hotly contested battle. After the long trek up here everyone just wants to rest but they can’t because we have some rules we have to lay down first

Let's try and actually get some counters.

1v1 Weakmon Singles
2 Recovers, 5 Chills
DQ 2 Days, 3 Days Ref

Pinnicle Ruins
Sized for - 3 Pokémon per side.(Large)
Water Depth - Shallow (Surf, Muddy Water, and Dive can be used by drawing on the water source. Small Pokémon can submerge themselves, larger Pokémon can simply wade through the water with little difficulty.)
Seismic Activity - Allowed (The arena is sufficiently far from unprotected structures, or is properly insulated against this sort of punishment. Earthquake, Magnitude, Fissure, and Dig are permitted.)
A ruined complex from a bygone age, these crumbling pillars and walls bask in the high-altitute sunlight. The air is fridgid in this altitutes, but the sun alleviates this
Pinnicle Ruins has the following traits:
  • The long trek up to reach this arena takes its toll on even the hardiest traveler - both players' lead Pokémon (or only Pokémon as the case may be) have one less rank in Attack and Special Attack for the first three rounds of battle.
  • Weather affinity (Sun) and Weather affinity (Hail). The appropriate weathers last an additional two (2) rounds.
  • Seismic attacks, while not forbidden, are hazardous. Each time one is used, the user risks a 10% chance that a nearby pillar or old wall will crumple onto them; dealing damage as a R5 user of non-STAB Rock Slide.

Horsea it is then; Empress is horribly countered by Torchic.

(sorry this took so long; I was being dragged around town)

Shadowbone, your second appearance for me, you know you can do it!

Start off by making Horsea bored with a Yawn attack. Now because I want some damage use Meteor Mash, and finally use Faint Attack, because I like STAB damage.

(Faint Attack is Dark, not Ghost.)

"Block that Yawn, then try and land a burn! Meteor Mash is pretty punishing, even with resistance, and we don't want that attack boost to happen!"

Everyone is exhausted but there is no time for rest as there is a battle about to start. Fed up with his incessant whining on the way up here Horsea creates a Substitute to escape. Tired after the walk, Nohface Yawns to help put Horsea to sleep but it Fails. Horsea then Scalds Nohface with boiling water but he retaliates by just Mashing like a Meteor. This seems to upset Horsea who then Disables this move. Unfazed by this however, Noface just launches a Faint Attack to finish

"Alright; that should keep it down for while. Keep your defenses up and get some hits in while it's helpless!"

Substitute (25 HP) | Rain Dance | Scald
No substitution.

No substitution, huh? Well if you say so.
If my calcs are correct the Scald at the end of the round should do 10 damage so... 25 HP Sub to take that damage. Then use Shadow Sneak and finish off with a faint attack (which according to my calcs should do 8 damage).

Now to prove those brakets relevant 6 (BAP) + 0 (STAB) + (1 (Stat difference) x 1.5) + 0 (Assuming the crit fails) x 1.00 = 7.5 rounded up = 8 damage. Also Shadow sneak should do 9 damage just saying.

EDIT: Wow, I did an entire round of calcs for you, how did that happen?

Actually MB you are wrong about both. as you see in the arena specs Attack and Special Attack lose one rank for the first 3 rounds

Curse-Faint Attack-Meteor Mash

SUB: If Meteor Mash is disabled again on action 3, replace that action with another Faint Attack.

Horsea starts the round by launching a Bubblebeam at Nohface, who proceeds to place a deadly Curse on it. Nohface didn’t like the look of that though and is severely weakened in the process.
