The ASB Tournament Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

elDino's possible choices:

Lucario* Destruction (Male)
Nature: Naughty (Adds One (1) Rank to Attack; Subtracts One (1) Rank From Special Defense)

Typing:
Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves, Meditate and Cheer Up have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).
Steel: Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.

Abilities:
Steadfast: If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference.
Inner Focus: When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.
Justified: This Pokemon's body reacts to dark energy, invigorating its passions. When hit by a Dark-type move, the Pokemon's attack will increase one (1) stage. A boost gained this way will be maintained at the end of each round.

When repulsed, the Steel type is thrust violently away and contact attacks have immense difficulty striking the Magnet Pull Pokemon. The effect of both commands lasts for the following three (3) actions.
Sturdy: This Pokemon’s body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

Glacier Knight's possible choices:

Piloswine(*) [Truffles] (Male)

Nature: Modest (Adds One (1) Rank to Special Attack; Subtracts One (1) Rank From Attack)

Info on Truffles: As a trainee tradition in the E.K.G, Glacier Knight received his first pokemon based on which elemental path he chose, and his other two based on his parent's pokemon. Because he chose ice as is path, he received Truffles, the runt of the ice master's Mamoswine's litter. not caring if he wasn't the toughest or strongest, G.K took Truffles in and gave the swine all the love and care he could muster. as the main power house on his team G.K knows that Truffles can take a beating and dish out ten-fold. Truffles himself is quite like his owner, always trying his best and making sure the job gets done. Truffles enjoys get ear rubs from his trainer and making ice sculptures with his ice beam (and then pummeling them with mud bombs)

Type:
Ice: Ice STAB; immune to freezing and Sheer Cold, no vision loss or damage in Hail or snowstorm conditions, perfectly accurate and 30% Protect breaking Blizzard in Hail. Superior senses and mobility in frozen caves and other frigid arenas.

Ground: Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, can Dig through almost any substance, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings.

Abilities:
Oblivious: (Innate) This Pokemon is incapable of being effected by Attract or Cute Charm.
Snow Cloak: (Innate) This Pokemon is used to snowy blizzard conditions and gains a 20% evasion boost during Hail. Pokemon with this ability are immune to Hail damage.
Thick Fat (DW,Unlocked): (Innate) This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)

Dusclops [Hazel] (Female)
Nature: Quiet (Adds One (1) Rank to Special Attack; Divides Base Speed by 1.15 and gives a flat 10 point decrease in evasion, effectively adding 10 accuracy (e.g. 85 becomes 95) on an opponent’s attacks.

Info on Hazel: Glacier found Hazel when he passed by a graveyard on his way to his campground from his successful battle at the Arena. he heard moans and wails, and when he entered the cemetery suddenly A Duskull popped out of a tombstone, glad to have some company. Hazel communicated with Glacier using her eerie abilities, and told him about how she was tethered to her grave for all eternity unless a trainer caught her. she begged to roam the world and find excitement, so Glacier happily complied, glad to have a new friend on board.

Hazel is always cheery (though in a demented creepy kind of way), and although new she has made friends with all of Glacier's team. she is the scout of the group, always hidden but watching, so that she can alert Glacier when trouble is around the corner. Hazel also like waking everyone up by wailing terribly.

Type:
Ghost:
Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.

Abilities:
Levitate: (innate) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading Ground moves like Bulldoze, Dig, Earthquake, and Magnitude. Other Ground moves can still hit.

Krillowatt [Reginald] (male)
Nature: Modest (Adds One (1) Rank to Special Attack; Subtracts One (1) Rank From Attack)

Info on Reginald: While enjoying the relaxation of night fishing, Glacier Knight was surprised when the water started to glow! As he stepped back hundreds of glowing creatures burst from the water, then dove back in. Gaping in awe as the glowing things trailed downstream, Glacier realized it was a school of Pilcowatts migrated who knows where! satisfied at seeing the rare sight Glacier decided to pack up and go back to his camping grounds, but then he spied a faint glow near his fishing pole. with a tug and pull out popped the tiniest Pilcowatt of them all! Glacier took in the abandoned pokemon as his own, happily raising it.

Reginald is the baby of the group, despite Ninja and Hazel being relatively new. Glacier always cares for him and makes sure he gets water at least twice a day (to swim in of course!).
Type:
Water: Water STAB; Can breathe and have excellent mobility when underwater, are less capable on land unless they are entirely amphibious.
Electric: Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.

Abilities:
Trace: (Can be Activated) This Pokemon can copy an ability of the opponent and replace Trace for six (6) actions. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced.
Magic Guard: (Innate) This Pokemon is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes it immune to damage from Hail, Sandstorm, and damage from Leech Seed, Poisoning, and Burn. It can still attack itself in confusion, but will not absorb any damage from it.
Shed Skin (DW Ability is now Unlocked): (Innate) This Pokemon regularly sheds its skin and any impurities contained in its body. If afflicted with a status condition, this Pokemon has a 33% chance of removing all status conditions at the end of a round.

Well, against super pimped out pokemon me and my team dont stand a very good chance. but its ok! this will good training practice :) SInce i'm here to train, not to win, come on out my beloved Truffles! I've been neglecting you, my first starter! its time to change this. let's show them we can at least pack a punch :)

Ok Truffles, let's get smart!

While that piece of metal is levitating, let's give him a nice coat of mud! Mud Bomb him! that should get him messy and mucky

Next, Give him a Mud-slap! it doesn't matter that he levitated, these will hit him good and hard!

Finally end the bombardment with another Mud Bomb! We want this enemy to drown in our mud!

Mud Bomb~Mud-Slap~Mud Bomb

Sorry for being a little slow with this round, I was just ironing out details in my formatting. They'll be faster from now on I promise!

The match starts out with both Truffles and Dynamite charging onto the battlefield. Dynamite quickly uses Magnet Rise to avoid being hit by nasty Earthquakes, but Truffles instead decides to Bombard it with Mud, doing a significant amount of damage. Dynamite angrily retaliates with a Flash Cannon, which also hits exceptionally hard. Still, Truffles just takes the blow and fights back by Slapping leftover Mud from the last attack in Dynamite's three eyes, lowering its Accuracy by one stage. Even more infuriated by this, Dynamite dubiously releases a Toxic gas that badly poisons Truffles. Truffles does not like this at all, and responds by using another Mud Bomb on Dynamite to further weaken it.

After the round, Dynamite is showing signs of fatigue, struggling to stay afloat. Truffles stands in better condition, however the poison is slowly starting to take its toll.......

Truffles, you are doing great! the double weakness to ground isn't bad either, but you are showing great potential!

Mud-Slap the hulking metal blob once more, and then aim another Mud Bomb! Finish with another Mud-Slap to keep the foe's accuracy down

Dynamite decides to full out attack, launching a powerful Flash Cannon at Truffles. However, the mud in its eyes is still disrupting its aim, causing it to miss by a hair! Truffles takes note of this and decides to lower Dynamite's accuracy even more with another Mud-Slap. Dynamite is not happy, and aims another Flash Cannon at Truffles, but it misses again, shooting far to Truffles' left and almost hitting the spectators! Oops! Truffles, feeling confident, prepares another Mud Bomb by shooting more mud balls at Dynamite. The hax gods seem to smile upon Truffles today, as the attack lands a critical hit! This snaps Dynamite into full focus, and it shoots a final Flash Cannon which hits Truffles dead-on. Truffles takes the blow, and counters with a swift Mud-Slap, which manages to bring the floating Dynamite to the ground with a thud, fainting it.
