Alrighty, nobody opposed the legality of this idea, so I'm gonna' go ahead and send out this challenge!

The trainers battle in the universe of Kingdom Hearts, on top of a beautiful Stained-Glass floor in an empty, darkness filled room. The pokemon start off on opposite sides of the floor, and can use any moves thanks to the energy and zen floating around this abysmal arena. While the arena may seem tranquil at first, there is a catch. At the end of each round, there is a 2/10 Chance of 2 small Purebloods appearing, and a 0.5/10 chance of a Darkside appearing (only 1 roll is conducted to determine the Heartless, and no roll is conducted if there is already an active Heartless). These Heartless must be defeated if the battle is to continue, and because they are worthy adversaries, they reward the slayer with 1 KOC if defeated, just like pokemon.

Personality: Lofty is quite... arbitrairy in his actions. He will hardly use the same move twice, unless forced into a tricky situation suach as being taunted. Despite his cluelessness, Lofty is actually one of 3 rare Malumaer heteros. Most drifloon are born in their place of origin; the underwold. However, these heteros are born in the overworld through evaporation of a volatile chemicals. Although rare, their lack of their reflective pigment, which normal drifloon recieve, slowly burns their thin bodies. This is the result of their rarity. This particular one sank down to earth as soon as it was born. When Albinoloon was traveling beside a polluted sea to search for an arena, he noticed a tug on a particular doll-shaped keychain on his backpack. As he turned around, he noticed it was this mysetrious drifloon, whom came to be known as Lofty, for the way he seemed to float aimlessly. When training, he realized that Lofty had an extremely vast and photographic memory. Lofty is very experienced in battling- and has taken a liking as well as a talent to it. He uses his vast movepool to outwit his oppponents. His extreme vitality also helps keep standing when the dust clears. His trainer is very dependent on him.

Type: Ghost/Flying
Ghost: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.
Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks outside extremely odd circumstances even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

Abilities:
Aftermath: (Innate) If this Pokemon uses Selfdestruct or Explosion, the attack has ten (10) more Base Attack Power and five (5) more Energy Cost to execute.
Unburden: (Innate) This Pokemon is incredibly possessive. If it uses or loses an item in battle its rage swells and its speed doubles (x2) until it receives another item.

Personality:
Personality: At full potential as a Dusknoir, Sone's personalilty drastically changed. No longer quiet and unassuming, Sone appointeed himself the leader of the team, putting himself in the spotlight, than rather lurk in the shadows. No one knows why his appearence is different from other duskull, although his childhoood in Mt. Pyre could be a clue. He has left his birthplace, becoming a rouge. He seems to chuckle on stormy nights. His tactics and mindset are of a king, strong and unrelenting. However, he also retains his battle style as a dusclops, stalling his opponent out until it drops dead right in fromt of him. Sone acts as the trainer's right hand-man, attending to the other members. Only his trainer understands him.

Personality: Since her evolution, she has recognized how to recognize patterns. However, she still seeks to change the environment to her advantage. She has learned the power of force, and recognizes it. She is starting to grow an understanding of pokemon as well as people's thoughts. Her tactics are never thought down upon. Her appearance in a match is enigmatic, as she has an array of different strategies she can use. Now, her fighting style differs from her previous one, as now, she has acess to much more mobility, being able to spread a trail of fire as she floats, or fortifying herself with an army of will 'o' wisps. Her friendship with Yuki is a close one, in fact, they only communicate with each other. When Yuki is by her side, she won't lose. She was born of the negative litwicks, emmiting negative light, which can offset normal light, which makes her surroundings dim.

Round One: Simple and Clean

I've been having these weird thoughts lately

The two trainers stand mystified at the glory of their new surroundings, how they came to be there is a mystery. The calling of the Key is a mysterious happening, one I plan to explore more deeply. And eliminate. My name is Ansem, and I am the master here.

like is any of this for real, or not?

War is absolute, it will occur when the timing is right, and a war is coming now. The Pokemon trainers face off, one with a flying spiritual presense, I can feel an aura here, despite it's Heartless appearance it has more power than I expected. For now. His opponent, what appears to be... a Cactuar? They've been discovered in Hollow Bastion, more research is required before I can make a full analysis.

The.. Drifblim? yes that's what the trainer called it, seems to be named Lofty. He opens up the battle by tearing his soul into fragments, creating a barrier between him and his opponent! What a curious move, I could learn from his tactics, making a Substitute. The Cactuar, seems to be referred to as a Cacturne by the trainer, is named Chlora. He attacks with a rapid and vengeful swing, getting some Payback. The substitute is destroyed, and Lofty is left vulnerable!

Summoning powerful magics, Lofty appears to have created a floating blue ball of fire, a Will "O" Wisp, and shoots it towards Chlora, such powerful darkness! It makes contact, igniting the grass Pokemon's thorns, it's burnt! Chlora responds by flitting back and forth, creating duplicates of himself! It now appears that Lofty is double teamed!

Lofty makes a clever move, producing a toxic atmosphere that destroys all of the the duplicates and damages Chlora, the Smog of uncertainty has been Cleared! The Cacturne isn't very pleased with this, and coats Lofty in a toxic ooze, looks like there's some poison running through those veins!

I feel the need to change this battle, but I won't summon my minions just yet, I will allow the battle to progress. They both have darkness in their hearts, which will eventually be their downfall. And my victory.

Round Two: So Much Status

The combat progresses, these two exquisite creatures are powerful. Almost as powerful as the Heartless. Lofty leads off by radiating a Wave of Thunderous Energy! It appears to have paralyzed Chlora! Chlora responds by summoning the hidden power of it's heart, a futile effort, but none the less it appears to have created a wave of icy wind. What Hidden Power that warrior has!

Lofty shows a brilliant display of Acrobatics, slamming Chlora into the stained glass floor. It even cracks it a small amount. The Cacturne appears to be trying to attack, but if paralyzed by the attack from before!

The Drifblim appears to have summoned some kind of energy, the ball of light high above has intensified, creating an effect like a Sunny Day. It offends me. Chlora responds with the Hidden Power of Ice once again, a refreshing move to be sure.

There two warriors impress me, there appears to be no need to interfere as of yet. However if this ceases to amuse me I will intervene.

Round Three:

Lofty opens this round by summoning a ball of fire, focusing the newly enhanced sun's energy into an attack, a Weather Ball. It does some serious damage to the Cacturne, he doesn't seem to have much of a defense against this weather balloon. Chlora attempts to create some duplicates as a ruse, but unfortunately he freezes on the spot, paralyzed.​

Lofty leaps into the air and slams down acrobatically on it's opponent, is there any hope for Chlora? Possibly! Sweeping its thorns across the stained glass floor, he summons up a brilliant, multicoloured Sandstorm from glass particles! it's the most brilliant attack I've ever seen, it completely removes the earlier energy sent into the sun.​

As the glass swirls around, Lofty excludes a poisonous gas, a Clear Smog! It appears that's all that Chlora can take, and he falls, KOd!

This battle is truly riveting, I can visibly see the hearts beat and fight! What will be replacing Chlora?

Round Four: Jump Man

It appears we have a a new combatant, a demonic looking barbed Pokemon. That one looks like he's after my own heart! Oh ho ho, so funny. I don't have one. It appears my new friend's name is Vennon the Toxicroak. He starts by exploding upwards, what a Bounce! Lofty attempts to dodge the oncoming assault by using Double Team, but Vennon's sense are too acute, he comes down like a dragoon out of hell and hits the true Drifblim!

Vennon tries the same tactic, rocketing upwards above the whirling stained glass Sandstorm! Lofty appears to be chilling, trying to regain his breath. Or hot air, whichever is pertinent. Vennon hurtles back to earth and misses his opponent, cracking the Inner Sanctum's floor!

The toxic frog takes the to sky again, Bouncing with true might. Lofty continues to chill, preparing for when the battle becomes more serious. Vennon makes contact, slamming down on the Drifblim with enough force to paralyze him! This could cause some serious problems down the road. How... intriguing.

With the willpower and darkness being thrown between these two valient fighters there is no reason to intervene. As they are defeated I will claim my prize, Kingdom Hearts will open itself to me.

Round Five:

Vennon
quickly shoots underground to avoid Lofty's next attack, a Will "O" Wisp. Lofty is really getting beaten up by the poison in his system and the sand that's still flying around. Vennon reappears below.

With a familiar tactic Vennon bounces upward! Lofty appears to be paralyzed in fear below, as the frog hurtles downward, but ends up missing his opponent.

Vennon tries a new tactic, spewing forth a rain of toxic drops, a Venoshock! Because of Lofty's weakened immune system from the poison it does considerably more damage. Lofty hexes back.

I'm tired of this cyclic battle, time to intervene, I'll send out some Purebloods to join the combat.
