A 120 * 100 * 100 Room, Bolt Beach is an artificial haven. Above the arena is a glass dome, where spetators watch, whilst trainers have podiums to issue commands from elevated podiums at opposite ends of the arena. Bolt Beach is mainly a bright yellow sand, and a dark yellow water. There are a few palm trees, although they give off a slight green glow.

Features:

- Electricity in the sand means that electric types are always under the effect of charge.
- The sand reduces the BP of Seismic attacks by 3, and gives Dig a -3 Priority to tunnel down, and -4 to surface.
- Attacks which require natural sunlight cannot work.
- Attacks which cannot work in an artificial environment do work, but paralyse the user 5% of the time as if hit by Thunder Wave, since the "Nature" is electric.
- Nature Power is treated as Shock Wave.
- There is a constant rainfall in the arena, which is unchangable.
- Mud Sport is washed away at the end of each round.

Lord Jesseus has opted to become the first victimchallenger of the Electric Gym; let's see how he'll fare!

Leader dogfish44 would like to fight!

dogfish44 releases... Nimbus the Cyclohm, who grabs an Expert Belt nearby! Meanwhile, Lord Jesseus releases Rho the Marowak, who takes his trusty item—the Thick Club. The two Pokemon go at it immediately; Nimbus takes advantage of the rainy weather, launching a high-powered blast of water at Rho! He seems to stumble a bit—probably a result of not liking the water very much—but is able to retaliate, hurling his bone as hard as he can at the Cyclohm; sure enough, it smacks him once, then loops back and strikes a second time!

Acting on his trainer's command, Nimbus charges up a second Hydro Pump and launches it straight at Rho, who takes the hit right in the face! That didn't look very good! Rho makes its way towards Nimbus, rotating slowly. Then, he spins faster and faster until he's a blur of white and brown whirling about! Sticking his arm out, he suddenly whacks Nimbus as many times as he can, dealing significant damage! Both Pokemon seem to be getting worn down quickly as a result of powerful attacks!

Nimbus seems to be enjoying spouting torrents of water about, as he does so a third time. The blast knocks Rho off of his feet and slams him into the walls of the arena! Rho slowly gets up and prepares to launch his club for a second time, but it seems that he's having trouble mustering the power to do so! He twists his arm back, preparing a throw, and abruptly falls to the ground! It seems that the third blast has knocked him out!

BEGIN ROUND TWO

Recalling Rho with a slight sigh, Lord Jesseus grabs his second Pokeball and releases Kappa the Kingdra, who immediately begins zooming about in the rain! Taking a Life Orb, Kappa wastes no time, summoning meteors that somehow get into the arena and strike Nimbus hard! Nimbus is still fairly healthy, though, and counters with a draconic blast of its own energy.

Following that up, Kappa suddenly pulls out a stuffed doll out of nowhere and frantically stuffs its life force into it as if it's consciousness depends on it... which it kind of does. Right as Kappa disappears into who-knows-where, leaving only the doll behind, Nimbus strikes it with a brilliant flurry of blue breath, leaving the substitute slightly battered; it's still standing, though.

Kappa suddenly appears on the other side of the arena, and uses the rather large amount of water available to it as well as some mud and sand to engulf Nimbus completely in a torrent of muddy water, although Kappa still appears to be slightly weakened by its previous shower of meteors. She also winces as her orb saps some of her strength. Roaring with rage, Nimbus summons a meteor shower of his own, utterly destroying the small substitute doll. Oh dear.

And it's Formula the Krilowatt that gets sent in, along with a Magnet to speed things up! Electricity and water... :/

Kappa doesn't seem too intimidated by this opponent, as it rains more meteors down from the sky onto the tiny little shrimp. Formula is quite powerful, however, utilizing the charged sands, rain, and its Magnet in order to summon a gigantic thunderbolt that strikes Kappa for some inordinate damage; it wasn't even super effective!

Wincing, Kappa immediately dives underwater; taking too many of these electrical attacks might not be good for its health. Unfortunately, Formula somewhat predicts this move, as it churns the water around Kappa and launches a wave inwards, dealing even more damage to the battered seahorse! It eventually comes up, though, and rams into Formula for some minor damage.

Rather low on health, Kappa goes into a wild frenzy, slamming repeatedly into Formula because it has no limbs to attack with. Formula doesn't seem too hurt by this, though, and simply launches a second thunderbolt, sending Kappa flying across the arena and into the water. NEXT!

And Jesseus is down to his last Pokemon—Gamma the Rotom-W! He seems to be giving up, though, as he attaches a coin to his Pokemon?

Formula smiles smugly, and launches a second bolt of thunder down on the washing machine, dealing a sizable damage despite its neutrality. Gamma waves its blueish "arms" about, and creates a glittering box of golden light that seems to filter out some elements. With preparations complete, Gamma summons two massive bolts of thunder that strike Formula for massive damage, but the little shrimp somehow manages to reflect both of the bolts back, dealing even more damage! Jesseus appears to be in dire straits now...

Formula begins right off with another strong zap of electricity, leaving Gamma barely hanging on to its appliance-y goodness. Gamma, however, has a rather nasty trick up its sleeve, and evens out its own life aura with Formula's! Formula launches another bolt of thunder down onto the washing machine, but once again, it barely hangs on; Gamma retaliates with a rather overkill bolt of humongous lightning and thunder, knocking the small shrimp clean off its "flippers" and into the water, where it floats, unconscious. Boohoo.
