(Completed) AOPSuser vs King Serperior - Compound Lenses and the Bane of Existence (SubwayJ refs)

As a brand new ref walks into the ASB arena, he looks around to find King Serperior and AOPSuser standing at opposite ends of the dome. As he sees the rosters of the two teams he finds, caterpie, and magikarp. As SubwayJ makes a silent thank-you for an easy 1st battle, he makes the announcement, “Let’s begin!” (And secretly begs for everything to go properly)

Let’s take a look at the teams…

In the North Corner: AOPSuser and Compound Lens his Malicious CATERPIE

Caterpie

In the South Corner: King Serperior and Bane his bloodthirsty MAGIKARP

I toss out my Pokeball, and out comes a...Caterpie, which wriggles around. (I now understand why Misty is so freaked out by bugs...)

After the initial reactions of SubwayJ, it is AOPSuser’s turn to sends out. Which he does swiftly by sending Compound Lens! Whom despite her name does not need glasses. King Serperior then responds by sending out Bane, who misses the pond, and in reply quickly gets a foot in its face to send it in.

After resurfacing from the kick, Bane is told to let loose a Bubble which hits the bug for solid damage. In reaction, the Caterpie, now angered, goes and Bug Bites the fish and then returns to its original spot.

King Serperior, now tired of Bane just flopping around, decides its time to let his fish Bounce into the air, soaring over the ground. AOPSuser then decides that if he cant hit the fish, Compound Lens might as well Chill, before being hit by Bane coming out of his arc.

As the trainers ordered their third set of actions, SubwayJ feels slight Déjà vu as Bane lets loose another Bubble which is again responded with another Bug Bite from Compound Lens.

striking her staight in the head for a CRITICAL HIT. Caterpie then stumbles for a moment before falling to the ground. SubwayJ then walks out onto the field announcing, “And with an ever so timely Critical Hit, King Serperior Wins” and patting himself on the back for an OK first reffing!
