Intro:

"Did you ever hear of the Legends?"

"What Legends?"

"Of Pokemon so rare, so powerful, that their very existence is debated even amongst Pokemon researchers."

"Oh, those legends. What of it?"

"They say there is a cove with a rare Pokemon in it. The Pokemon around there aren't particularly strong, and the place itself has been checked time and time again. But people still insist there's a legend there. But it can only be found if you can hear its voice."

"Sounds like a fairy tale. Lay off the whisky."

"Whatever you say. I'm heading over there to check it out."

There is a cove hidden deep in a forest that beckons those few chosen ones who seek the legends. In order to get there you will have to cross several kinds of treacherous terrain, but this may be your first chance to get a taste of adventure. A mysterious man meets you at the entrance, signaling you forward. Oddly, it seems like you're the only one who can see them. You ignore the jests of your friends and follow him. You think you've heard him speak before, but you can't quite remember what his voice sounds like. It strikes you as odd, but you head towards the Mysterious Cove anyway.

Player Options:
a) Enter Mysterious Cove!
b) Save Dummy007 a lot of work and leave now.

Walker looks around from some nearby bushes, then motions to Butler, his Audino.

"Here's what I gathered:" the man whispers. "There is a town nearby, on the other side of the cove. Since we are not from around here, we have to move quietly until we gain enough power, right?"

"Aud."

"You know, it might have been a better idea to leave that orb alone... no matter, no matter. Butler, we shall go forth."

With that, Walker leaves the bushes with the shiny Audino following him, the two of them following the trail until they reach the man beaconing to them.

Walker nods, and then makes a move to enter the cove.

Mysterious Cove: Brush Aside- Lackey Battle!

As you head up to the cove you first have to travel through a small forest.

"Be on the lookout." A voice says to you. "In places like this, the Pokemon are highly territorial. Don't be fooled by their youth, they are wily creatures."

Not so soon as the sentence finishes are you attacked by Ledyba and Nincada.

Eternal Drifter encounters a string of bad luck this round, including plenty of confuse hax. The lackeys are hardly scathed, and they almost seem to be laughing...Can this situation be turned around?
EDIT: Also, I forgot that Shadow Ball activated Ledyba's Rattled. Since it was already faster than both of your Pokemon, I doubt this affected your actions.

Eternal Drifter's team does quite a bit more this round than last round- at least, Scraggy does. Butler is hampered by hax and evasiveness, leaving Scraggy near the brink of fainting and the lackeys still in decent shape. The next round will likely decide the outcome of this battle...

Walker grins. "Well done, you two. We might actually make it to the town at the other side of the cove. Or, at the very least, obtain a companion for us. We seem to be a little weak to fighting, the three of us... and congratulations, Scraggy, for sticking around. Let us see if we can manage to take out the Nincada too..."

"Let's try to recover... Scraggy, rest! Butler, try to poison the pesky bug! And then try to wake Scraggy!"

Butler:
Round 1: Toxic (Nincada)
Round 2: Sweet Kiss (Nincada)
If foe Nincada is protecting itself by any means, replace the action for the round where it is protecting itself with Chill

This round goes quite poorly for Eternal Drifter- in fact, he doesn't successfully use a single move! The Nincada finishes off Scraggy and temporarily blinds Butler, leaving him with a huge advantage. Can Butler successfully avenge his fallen comrade?

After a moment, Walker nods.

"Aud?" Butler asks.

"Yes, I see no other choice. You are not meant for attacking, but for stalling. We will stall this threat out."

"And now," he says, "It gets boring... although, the clock is ticking. I wouldn't blame you if you fled, little bug. Your time is coming to an end..."

With that, Walker starts to play a tune on his flute.

Butler, meanwhile, just sits around and waits, restoring energy. Not much you can do with no energy, and this would be the first battle of many, if all went well. They needed more energy for what would come, anyway, and with the clock ticking, they could take an opprotunity to recover.

Not much you can do with no energy, and this would be the first battle of many, if all went well.
