Arena: Arceus' Plate Platform
Field Type: Diverse
Complexity: Moderate
Format: All
Restrictions: No Restrictions

Description:
Deep in the the Sinnoh Underground, the excavators have discovered a stranger arena: Within it lie 17 Plates, each glowing with a faint tinge. As time progressed and studies increased, people began to see the wonders these plates held: they could grant the user a momentary boost in power, or access to powers they did not previously possess. The Plates were promptly moved to a place where they could be more readily used for battling.

- There are 17 Different Plates, each representing the 17 Types of Pokemon (For these purposes, I'm introducing the Simple [Normal] Plate).
- When a plate is stepped on, the user is granted a choice: Either Boost the BP of moves of that corresponding type by 3 for for 3 actions, or use any move of that type.
- Stepping on a Plate costs 5 En. If using the BP Boost, it takes an action.
- Once a Plate is used for either purpose, it is unusable for the duration of the match. In addition, the great power required by the plates makes it impossible to use more than 1 plate per round per pokemon, to the detriment of the User.
- The platform itself supports all forms of battling: there is plenty of room, a deep pool in the centre of the field, and the ground is soft enough to dig through, yet hard enough that Seismic moves have their full strength.
- Plates may not be used in Combinations.
And tonight's warriors are:

Round 1: This arena strikes me as an amazing technicolor battlefield, so let's go with something epic...
♫The Azure Arbitrator

Gooooooooooooooooooood evening, ladies and gentlemen! Tonight's battle pits SimonSays against MrcRanger97 on a platform in what appears to be the middle of space, with stars going supernova in the background and everything!

Simon opens up with his Scratchet, Marquis, while the ranger sends out his Necturine, Ceres, who gets the first attack, attempting to Shadow Sneak her way into attacking the noble cub from behind...unfortunately, the little white berry never got the memo that ghost attacks don't work on normal-types, and only succeeds in giving Marquis a chance to Taunt her! The Scratchet doesn't finish there - he also lobs Stealth Rocks around her, ready to strike on a switch out. Ceres seems to have learned her lesson, cutting Marquis with a Leaf Blade and...

...Wait, no she hasn't. She tried to Shadow Sneak him again. Simon's noblecat then lets out a bestial Roar, scaring her off and forcing Ranger to send out his Snorlax!

For the most part, not much has happened. Who will change things up? Find out after these messages!

Round 2: Curse of the Mummy's Curse

We're back, and a choir's doing some ominous latin chanting as the sun explodes. Simon just sent out his Revenankh, Pharaoh, to wreak some havoc on Uncle Alan, still a little sore from the Stealth Rocks, starting with a nice fat Hammer Arm! Not one to let that slow him down, Alan rushes at the mummy with a Heavy Slam! As the Snorlax tries to recover, Pharaoh grabs his face and numbs it with a Force Palm, causing Alan to trip over the Dark Plate! Oh? What's this? It looks like Alan has an idea...indeed he does! He's using it to Torment his foe! Of course, it won't stop Pharaoh from dropping Maxwell's silver Hammer Arm upon Alan's head, but it slows him down enough to drop another Heavy Slam.

Well, Unkie Alan's in some pretty big trouble right now. Can he turn this around? Find out after the break!
