Orcinus Duo

Banned deucer.
The icy walls of the rusty armour facility reverberate, not with the silence, but with anticipation. Here, in this state of the art research centre, two battlers will be facing off…
Ziposaki starts off, throwing the gauntlet with a brave challenge to none other than Flamestrike, the famed veteran who’s stood his ground through much of ASB’s history!
Challenging Flamestrike!

Arena:
After cleaning up the mess from the disasterious battle between fellow scientist, King Serperior, and his foe, Glacier Knight, King Serperior scrapped all the armors and ordered his fellow scientists to go back to the drawing board.

After two years of constant research, King Serperior and his fellow scientists came up with newer and better armors......

Before we get to the armors, the arena is an exact replica of the ASB Arena.

1). Aero Armor - An oldie, but a goodie. This jet-powered armor adds an extra flying-typing to the wearer. If the wearer is already of the flying type, then it gains 2X STAB on all of its flying moves and its Flying weaknesses are doubled. It also gains the following moves as long as it wears the armor: Aerial Ace and Sonicboom.

2). Pyro Armor - This specially designed armor is made from a synthetic material that automatically catches itself on fire with no harm to the wearer. The wearer gans the ability, Flame Body, while wearing this armor. All contact moves used by the wearer have a 20% chance to burn the foe. The wearer gains use of the move, Flame Charge.

3). Berry Basket Armor - This armor has many slots that hold berries for easy access to. The berries that this armor holds are: 2X Oran Berries, 1X Lum Berries, 2X Leppa berries, and 1X Enigma Berry. The use of berries require 5 energy and are each one-time use. The use of a berry requires one action. The wearer of this armor gains the move, Natural Gift. When using Natural Gift, keep in mind that once a berry is used, it cannot be replaced.

4). Power Armor - The wearer gains use of an armor that focuses its power into the upper torso and arms of the user. Physical attacks used against the wearer have their final damage decreased by 1. The wearer of the armor gains the moves, Strength and Mach Punch. If the wearer has no arms, it learns Thrash instead of Mach Punch.

5). Heavyweight Armor - After countless retesting and experimentation, this failed and overpowered armor was completely redesigned. The wearer's weight class becomes 12. The wearer cannot use moves that cannot be used in Gravity. The Defense and Sp.Defense of the wearer are increased by 2. The wearer learns the moves, Magnitude and Iron Defense.

6). Reversal Armor - This question-mark covered armor gives the ability, Contrary, to the wearer. It also reverses the type weaknesses and resistenses of the wearer. If the wearer is a fire/bug type, its 4X rock weakness becomes a 4X rock resist. Any immunties that the wearer has are kept. The wearer gains the ability to use Reversal and Mirror Coat.

Flamestrike doesn’t flinch either, accepting the battle fluidly.
Accepting!

All abilities

The two battlers release their warriors, and they stare each other down (and in Dodrio’s case, it stares itself down for a while), awaiting whatever boons chance may give them. We take one last look at this clean facility—surely by the time this is done, the power of this clash will send it into ruins…

Dodrio [D] (M)

Nature: Adamant (Adds * to Attack, Subtracts * from Special Attack)

Type: Normal/Flying

Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.
Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks outside extremely odd circumstances even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

Abilities:

Run Away: (Innate) This Pokemon is quick on its feet and will evade any field traps and hazards that would harm it (Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes) in an arena. D is the one who likes to argue and nag over every little thing. At least it is mainly restricted to his own heads instead of the trickster and pranksters of the group. His left and right heads are constantly arguing over everything they can think of, while the center just yells at both of them. The only thing they can agree on is the magnificence of their tail feathers, which are exceptionally long for a Dodrio (and exceptionally shiny and well preened, the left head claims, before the right head retorts they should use especially instead of exceptionally, to which they start arguing before the center screams at them to shut up and anyways, they shouldn't brag).

The sturdy force of Tuskstrike is matched by the chaos of D’s chaotic, clumsy shouting. The calming influence of the fearsome creature watches its opponent intensely as it shouts at each other, the left head trying to bite the right one and tangling with the centre head, and then nearly tripping over. This is indeed a battle of two completely different styles!

D’s three heads notice the armours around them, and instantly start bickering at each other on which one to take. They start at the Reversal Armour, knowing that it would help them curb the pesky electric/ice weakness that plagues them. The centre head, being the clearest minded (and a bit scared of heights), starts putting it on, but then the left and the right realize that they’re letting the centre head take control, something that they most certainly would not stand for! They go beserk, causing the Reversal Armour to be dropped, the three heads going in completely different directions until physics realized that it was impossible for the Dodrio to be in the pretzel shape that it was, and D popped up, flying for a short while until the three heads went into disagreement over where they wanted to go, and plopped down…landing in the Aero Armour! What an interesting turn of events this is…I wonder how D’s strategy will change with this equipped! The centre head certainly doesn’t look happy about this at all, and none of the three heads look pleased about the fact that their tail feathers are getting a bit ruffled in the armour!

Donphan, on the other hand, calmly looks around and picks up the dropped reversal armour and puts it on. A solid choice, to be sure, although I suspect it won’t make much of a difference in this battle.

How will this battle turn out? Well, there’s only one way to find out…Ziposaki and Flamestrike, allons-y!

"Alright, let's go Tuskstrike! Take an Exp. Share and let's get going! Start off by hammering him with a Head Smash, then follow up with a Stone Edge! Finish off with another Head Smash! If he makes a 15 or 20 HP Substitute on a turn where you'd use Head Smash, use Thunder Fang instead and push actions down, and if he uses Protect and you don't already have a Substitute use Substitute!"

Summary:
Head Smash -> Stone Edge -> Head Smash
If he uses Substitute (15 HP) or Substitute (20 HP) on an action you are using Head Smash, use Thunder Fang and push actions down
If he uses Protect and you don't already have a Substitute up use Substitute (25 HP) and push actions down

All right folks, the trainers have issued orders, the Pokemon are ready, and round 1 has begun! D starts off by huddling with itself, and while the left and right head both look extremely uncomfortable about Tuskstrike tucking its head in and preparing for what looks to be an absolutely lethal attack, the centre head takes initiative and decides to put up a reflective screen. It then sits back comfortably, thinking itself to be safe. Unfortunately for D (all of them), Tuskstike unleashes an absolutely lethal charge at the hapless bird, recklessly knocking it through the walls of the arena. The Donphan stands up, its head a bit bruised from the intensity of the attack, and smirks at the fallen bird. Ladies and gentlemen, that was one powerful blow, even more so since it was already negated to some extent by the reflective shield!

D, now outside of the arena, stands up shakily. The centre head, the de facto leader, seems to be completely unconscious, and the two remaining heads seem to be at a loss of what to do. Being simple minded, they dizzily charge back at the deadly pig, and clumsily strike at it with a drill peck. It seems, even with this lack of coordination, that they seem to have exposed /a chink in the armour/ and landed a critical hit! Tuskstrike, not to be outdone, responds with a stone edge attack that once again exposes D’s doubled weakness to rock, hitting for another huge bout of damage!

D once again tries to attack, but all of the fatigue must have outdone it, and the Dodrio seems to have settled for a weak attack that does no damage at all to the Donphan, relative to the previous rounds! Tuskstrike, on the other hand, tucks its head in…charges at the bird that’s going wide eyed in shock, and knocks it clean out of the arena once more! It flies out, but not of its own will, and lands on the ground in a cloud of dust, rolling over and over. Finally, it comes to a stop, and when the dust has cleared, we find D…unable to battle! Flamestrike has won this matchup with a one round KO! Ziposaki rushes to her mon, and we congratulate the trainers for this battle which shows why Dodrio should never have an Aero Armour again!
