Yeah, people really need to stop using these Switcheroo teams against my stall team because I'm pretty sure I've only lost to those... Anyhow, Tyranitar approaching 80% in usage is a bit ridiculous, and maybe the addition of the new rain genies will make the metagame more balanced (or maybe Politoed will approach 80%...). I'm really surprised by the difference between the standard and 1337 usage statistics, as it just shows that the "good" players are using very standard teams, so to speak. Chandelure is also #1 in standard play, which is actually a bit surprising, as I haven't found it all that useful. Shed Shell -> Tyranitar is a pretty common -- well, Tyranitar is super common for that matter.

Can people explain why Ninetales is being used as the third most common lead? You really should never lead with it, especially considering how common sand is.

Also, are people going back to standard sun with Blaziken gone? I haven't run into sun very much, but I can only assume teams are starting to look like Ninetales / Dugtrio / Heatran / Donphan / Venusaur / Dragonite. Maybe this isn't the case, but what are sun teams using?

It's a bit odd that Deo-s has dropped by like 13 or something, I mean it's still incredibly potent late game and outspeeds up to scarf Chomp (or faster idr). Also, Porygon2 rose like 10, what could that be in response to? I mean it can counterhax Garchomp, but +2 Outrage hurts. Maybe it's just a random rise?

The only Linoone set I've ever seen uses Switcheroo to lock you into a unfavorable move allowing the likes of Chandelure/Dugtrio/Magnezone to set up to +6.

Latias is getting incredible usage in the 1337 stats all of a sudden--people have started realizing its ability to shut down breloom, keldeo, and the like, and its overall prowess.
Kinda funny, but my team (which has been #1 for like the past month) is the top 6 of 1337 with terrakion > genesect. Nice to see terra getting more of the usage he deserves (he's even better in DW than OU IMO).

And yeah, tendie's team is a really clever one, with linoone/dugtrio/chandelure/gyarados built to trap you into using a move that will guarantee your death. It's a really cool strategy and tendie utilizes it to its fullest.

Also, the increasing over-centralization is somewhat disheartening--DW has been cheered as being a fresher alternative to OU and being much more diverse. While it is true that the overall stats are still quite diverse, tyranitar and exca both approaching 80% in the 1337 stats is insane.

OMG Ttar and Exca have 70%+ usage on 1337 stats!If any one isn't using them they are using politoed+Manaphy/Keldeo.It's surprising that mainly two team styles dominate this tier but then again,they are the teams which abuse the banned Mons of OU to the fullest.

Nice to see the invention of swictheroo Linoone +Trapper teams.

Kyurem-W and Kyurem-B in DW OU?I'm very eager to see how the stats turn out next time(If only PS gets DW OU).

Garchomp is as far as my eyes can see in L33T usage statistics, too high in fact. 17th!

I'm aware TTar/Exca/Chandy dominate rain together and can successfully remove Politoed from the battle and prepare for Excadrill to clean up. But to me Garchomp is as effective as Excadrill and Tyranitar and is a welcomed addition to the duo to form a trifecta of sand sweeping.

There's a reason Garchomp is widely considered one of the best Pokemon available to the standard metagame, and Sand Veil is ever-present in DW which is sure to throw caution to the wind. Are people content on building their core around Tyranitar and Excadrill but making attempts to stall out enemy Garchomp?

Soul Dew would make Lati@S more appealing in a metagame where you could argue they're pushing above their weight to stand out from some of the most devastating threats Dream World has to offer: Keldeos, Genesects, TagLures and Brelooms. Soul Dew would at least shrug Tyranitar much faster and it just may provide rain with more support; Manaphy isn't doing enough work to justify rain's prevelance over sand.

I would probably have to vote against soul dew too...although actually, the omnipresence of tyranitar might work in favor of a retesting--sure the soul dew boost is ridiculous, but lati@s is not getting past SpD ttar any time soon (which is on around 50-60% of teams, I'd estimate), meaning that lati@s with soul dew might be in a similar state as chandy: you come in, wall or destroy something utterly (destroy in chandy and latios's case), and then get trapped. I didn't play much in the soul dew testing days, so I'm not sure from experience how much of an effect it would have. However, in a very offensive and very physically inclined metagame, this could potentially be a nice change IMO. Again though, I can't testify about its possible game-breakingness.

Latias can just run CM and something like surf or grass knot with Soul Dew and an offensive spread.It would hit like a truck and possibly KO.Even if it misses the K,O raking up a bit of prior damage ,especially with hazards shouldnt be too difficult.So Soul Dew is kinda OP.

But Soul Dew would certainly shake up the metagame.We still have Genesect to check it.And there is no guarantee that Latias will not meet a ScarfTar.
