An artificial environment with no external water source or natural grass. Digging and seismic moves are allowed. Weather is allowed.

At the beginning of each round, the ref will give a task to the participating pokemon to perform during the round. It can be anything as long as all active pokemon can feasibly accomplish it (eg, use non-STAB moves only). Any pokemon that fail to complete the task take damage equal to 1/4 of their max HP.

Forgoing flavour for an answer to rediamond:

Well actually, it’s sort of your own fault that you don’t have protect. Really can’t blame me for that. However…I would like to remind you and waterwarrior that the goal isn’t to win challenges, it’s to win the match. Personally, I find taking penalties in strategic moments very, very helpful. For instance, if you used shadow ball-dark pulse-shadow ball, you would’ve outdamaged Houdin this round, even with the penalty. In fact, you already have outdamaged him AND avoided the penalty, so props for that.

So, all in all, I think this was a very fair challenge, if not very biased for the pokemon going second. You didn’t exactly fare poorly either, so well done on that. I’m sure you’ll have fun with the next challenge. ^^

1. Alakazam only has 90 HP so... shiiiiiiitt that sucks for me.

Yeah, irc pointed out my stupidity but I would've felt bad if I had changed actions.

IF Evasive Teleport, replace that action with Lick and push actions back
IF Disable Shadow Ball, replace all subsequent uses of the move Shadow Ball with Dark Pulse
IF Dig, use Shadow Sneak
