Round 1: Subbing the Substitute into Submission (Arceus, was that pun awful...)
♫Overture

Well, it's been a while since I've done some actual reffing...lesseenow...

Good evening, ladies and gents! Seeing as that arena-wrecking Lad has gone overseas for a while, the ref seat's been empty for a while, which means it's up to me to fill it.

HELLO. I AM A ROBOT. WHAT ABOUT THIS UNIT? OR THAT VERBOSE MEATBAG?

Fluffing out the setting, Robo-ref. Stuff it. Anyway, some of you might remember me from my reffing days some years back, but for those who don't, I'm Butch Waldstein, manager of this fine establishment. But enough about that; today's battle pits a suspicious-looking fellow named zarator against the scientist...I'm...not sure how to read this...Ay-ops user?

THAT IS CORRECT.

Alright then. Anyway, both trainers have sent out their first pokemon - AOPS a Revenankh named after King Tut, while zarator brings out a Metagross named Tyr. Looks like this is gonna be a high-end fight...

Tyr gets the first move, floating towards Tut and Zen Headbutting him. The Revenankh retaliates by punching the ground over and over, sending out shockwaves that Bulldoze the local area and-

CRAPFUCK!

...good thing we're not live. It looks like AOPS was banking on slowing Tyr down, but its clear body got in the way. Speaking of which, Tyr starts digging up dirt and rocks to form a crude Substitute and avoid attacks, but it doesn't stop Tut from Taunting the Metagross. It mad. It real mad. Nevertheless, Tyr punches the mummy with an attack that I'm pretty sure is Aerial Ace, while Tut Counters, shattering that substitute into little bits of kibble.

I'd describe this fight further, but we gotta take a commercial break. We'll be back after these messages!

ZARATOR HAS THE ADVANTAGE, WITH A. FIFTY. ONE. POINT. ZERO. ZERO. ZERO. TWO. ZERO. ZERO. ONE. ZERO. EIGHT-

*Meanwhile, somewhere in the deserts of Egypt...*

So this is the tomb of Hotekh...haha, once again, the professor delivers!

Think this one's cursed, too?

Oh, they're all cursed. But have we ever puked locusts?

Well, no, but-

Then we'll be fine. Come on, let's go.

Round 2: We apologize for the inconvenience

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! We had a little issue with the cameras earlier, but it's fixed now.

Tyr begins the round by floating up to Tut and flubbing a Zen Headbutt, while the Revenankh punches the ground and begins the first of a stream of Earthquakes...Ugh, and I thought the Lad was bad for the budget...Zarator's Metagross struggles to regain his footing, but as he does, hits the mummy with an Aerial Ace before being knocked to the ground with a second Earthquake. This time, Tyr doesn't miss on this particular Zen Headbutt, but it doesn't stop AOPS's Revenankh from finishing his Earthquake-spamming...I think the arena's alright...

Now then. As much as we'd like to continue this battle, we've gotta stop for commercials. We'll be back after these messages!

*Meanwhile, in the tomb of Hotekh...*

Find anything, Rico? Traps? Passageways? Patrick Duffey?

Patrick Duffey? Who the hell is-
