Alright folks, you thought Ice Spire was bad. You thought the sheer Blizzard Spam that entailed there was going to be difficult enough. Well, Enter Glacial Cave, a dungeon that consists of more than just blizzards...And here we have, one brave explorer, one user, who thought "Hey, this dungeon looks cool!" And decided to go in. Unaware of the danger that lurks ahead of him, how will our explorer fare in this cold with a dry bag? Well, let us find out. Introducing...UllarWarlord!

Nature: Naive (+Speed, -Sp. Def.)
Type: Fighting/Dark
Fighting: Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves. Superior reaction time in close quarters.

Dark: Dark STAB; Immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.

Abilities:
Volt Absorb: (Innate) This Pokemon absorbs all electrical attacks and instead of taking damage, recover HP. Thunder Wave has no effect on the Pokemon.

Motor Drive: (Innate) [DW, Unlocked] This Pokemon nullifies any electrical attack damage and converts the energy from any electrical attack (inc. Thunder Wave) into an energy source that allows it to boost its speed by one (1) level. This boost is maintained at the end of each round.

GLACIAL CAVE

Glacial Cave is an Island located far into the South, close to Antarctica. When you get close you awe at the white sands of its beaches, until you realise that is not sand - it is snow. The Island's most prominent feature is a mountain with a large opening that serves as a mouth of a cave. Based on the structure of the mountain, you can tell tell that most of the mass is below the surface, once you get it you will not be heading up - you will be heading down, deep into the chilly depths. A chill runs down your spine. Hopefully you are ready...

Glacial Cave - Frigid Coast

Deciding that it is best to head down the spine, you move on, with your team in tow, into the Glacial Cave...

Descending the cave, you notice that there is water abound the place, streaming around the perimeter of the area, hinting to you that the first part of the cave could involve a lot of water. You then come to a rather flat area of the cave, plateau-like, yet not very large. apart from some frozen walkways, water encircles the area. You notice how dark the place is, when you hear something stirring. Alert, you send in your Pokemon, when suddenly, you are attacked by a Snover & a Sealeo! The two give you a frosty reception, as you get ready to fight them...

Frosty Rapids:A series of areas next to fast moving water. Navigating them is difficult and Pokemon knocked into the rapids will take ten (10) fixed damage in addition to the attack's damage.

Summary:
  • Arena Type: Cave
  • Weather: None
  • If a Pokemon is hit by a Weight-Based attack or Strength from a Pokemon with a Weight Class 2 or greater than their own, they will be knocked into the rapids for an additional ten (10) fixed damage.

Glacial Cave - Frigid Coast

Not so soon as the Sun came out from the Heat Rock Hex unleashed, the temporary sun was replaced with dreary snow & pelting ice...

Wary about what was going to happen, Hex & Mimring throw up force-fields to shield themselves from danger, as Huggable fired a ball of ki at the Sealeo, wiping it for damage. Sealeo simply responds by hurling a barrage of rocks which get repelled off the barriers, but hitting Huggable. The Snover simply plays around & copies Hex's abilities, despite the barriers, as the hail took its toll on the field.

Huggable then fires another ball of energy at Sealeo, damaging it. Hex then gets back down to business by replacing the snow with hot, harsh sunlight again, as Mimring proceeds to scorch the Sealeo critically with a searing wave of fire, burning it in the process. Strangely enough, Snover is unharmed by the wave & feels stronger. Sealeo then drenches the entire field in a tidal wave, as the Snover could only strike Hex with his wave of ice.

THE SUNLIGHT IS HARSH...

Glacial Cave - Reflected Rays

You come across a brilliant chamber full of ice that sparkles with reflected light from above. It warps and distorts the light creating a kind of rainbow effect on the fast-moving rapids that flow around the room. Across the rapids you see a dark cave that leads into the next area. Ice floes come down from a higher entryway and could be boarded to go across. Your other option is to try and jump from a series of rocks that the rapids are filtering through near a still pool that collects some of the icy water before sending it further down.

Glacial Cave - Reflected Rays

As you board the Ice Floe you feel a massive crash coming up from beneath you, which startles you and causes you to fall to the ground. While you and your Pokemon are bewildered, a Mantine jumps up out of the water and creates a Whirlpool that traps Huggable. Then darts off with Agility. It will take you two rounds to catch up with it.

Frosty Rapids: A series of areas next to fast moving water. Navigating them is difficult and Pokemon knocked into the rapids will take ten (10) fixed damage in addition to the attack's damage.

As the Sun comes out to play once more, Mimring, afraid of rocks, throws up a forcefield to shield himself, as Mantine throws up a barrage of rocks which miss Mimring, but strikes Hex critically in the process, & forces Hex to cringe! Ouch! Nevertheless, the barrage of attacks does not stop there, as Mantine conjures a tidal wave from the rapids, which submerge the team for some damage, as Hex proceeds to strike the Rhydon doll with a ball of matter, before Mimring destroys the Rhydon doll with a critical fist of lightning!
