Smogon Tour Season 14 Finals [Won by McMeghan]

After a long season the finals for Season 14 of Smogon Tour are upon us! The final week saw a ton of excitement as the projected pairings were turned upside down. Congratulations to all of the players for making it this far. They have all reached the heart of the competition. It will test all of the battlers wills and skills for a chance to earn the title of Smogon Tour Champion!

I'd like to extend my thanks and appreciation to the dedicated group of hosts for helping this tournament run with a full head of steam. All of them did an outstanding job. Of course, this tournament has hundreds of players competing over the course of a season. Eo Ut Mortus has done the unenviable task of tallying up the points after every week. Give him a shout out when you see him around.

These two players should need no introduction, but for those unfamiliar: McMeghan is like Ojama, except he's not as mad, and he wins games. Malekith, on the other hand, is like Bloo, except he quits less often. Both these players are, incidentally, experts at losing important tournaments: McMeghan only recently fell to Nelson-X in Grand Slam, while Malekith lost the prestigious Smogon VGC tournament to Matty85 and last tour to ToF. It is only fitting that one of these players must lose at this point, with the other undoubtedly losing the next round. Will McMeghan be able to master his own domain, or will Malekith show McNuggets who the true Frenchman is? ~ Eo Ut Mortus

I am sure that I am not the only one who has confused Vinc#s for H-C, Heist, and the rest of the society of Swellow lovers. That being said, he has managed to finally distinguish himself from the rest of his Beneluxian compatriots by making it to the semis of ST14. The dark horse of the tournament (I just know one of his groupies is going to object to this description), Vinc is looking to add a few more entries to his ever-growing list of upsets. On the other side, we have Blazin Kickin Chicken, a... "creative" ladderer-turned-tourney player who has recently developed a cult following thanks to his breakthrough BW skills and his willingness to alienate user and former friend Lavos Spawn. Will BKC put the "BKC" in "Lavos Tour 14", or will Vincnumeros turn the tables once more, and more importantly, which of these players' fan club will be the most obnoxious throughout the battle? ~Eo Ut Mortus

1. Ojama vs. 16. Malekith - Ojama has been very impressive lately, and I have a hard time believing he'd lose to Malekith. Ojama wins all three.
2. M Dragon vs. undisputed - I didn't want to face you.
3. Heist vs. CrashinBoomBang - Heist's teams are really creative, and that's going to make him even harder to beat in this format. I think Heist takes BW and DPP, maybe all three.
4. -Frexa- vs. 13. TV-Rocka - I don't know either of them too well. Going with Frexa because he's the higher seed. I've only really seen TV-Rocka play DPP.
5. McMeghan vs. 12. 6A9 Ace Matador - This is a tough pick. AM's DPP is really good, but I think McMeghan might be a little better at BW. Probably come down to the ADV match.
6. Bloo vs. 11. BKC - Gotta go with my boy. I think BKC has been on a tear recently. DPP to BKC, ADV and BW are a toss up.
7. Ciele vs. 10. Vinc2612 - I don't know Vinc2612 that well, but Ciele is always a top notch player.
8. Lavos Spawn vs. 9. Kevin Garrett - Lavos is a boss. Definitely wins BW, and then I think he's good enough to adapt to DPP and ADV and win one of the two.

1. Ojama vs. 16. Malekith - Toss up in all three games, got a feeling the bagette will win though
2. M Dragon vs. undisputed - one of the best multigen players
3. Heist vs. CrashinBoomBang - very consistent OU player
4. -Frexa- vs. 13. TV-Rocka - Rocka is more well known, but I think Frexa will pull an upset
5. McMeghan vs. 12. 6A9 Ace Matador - probably the best player atm
6. Bloo vs. 11. BKC - GL Man.
7. Ciele vs. 10. Vinc2612 - Ciele will win this round and then get lucked in the next one, therefore fulfilling the prophecy that we all lose in the semi finals.
8. Lavos Spawn vs. 9. Kevin Garrett - Kev is far better in Gens 3 and 4

Malekith - Ojama has been very impressive lately, and I have a hard time believing he'd lose to Malekith. Ojama wins all three. 2. M Dragon vs. undisputed - I didn't want to face you. 3. Heist vs. CrashinBoomBang - Heist's teams are really creative, and that's going to make him even harder to beat in this format. I think Heist takes BW and DPP, maybe all three. 4. -Frexa- vs. 13. TV-Rocka - I don't know either of them too well. Going with Frexa because he's the higher seed. I've only really seen TV-Rocka play DPP. 5. McMeghan vs. 12. 6A9 Ace Matador - This is a tough pick. AM's DPP is really good, but I think McMeghan might be a little better at BW. Probably come down to the ADV match. 6. Bloo vs. 11. BKC - Gotta go with my boy. I think BKC has been on a tear recently. DPP to BKC, ADV and BW are a toss up. 7. Ciele vs. 10. Vinc2612 - I don't know Vinc2612 that well, but Ciele is always a top notch player. 8. Lavos Spawn vs. 9. Kevin Garrett - Lavos is a boss. Definitely wins BW, and then I think he's good enough to adapt to DPP and ADV and win one of the two. __________________

M Dragon vs. undisputed - one of the best multigen players 3. Heist vs. CrashinBoomBang - very consistent OU player 4. -Frexa- vs. 13. TV-Rocka - Rocka is more well known, but I think Frexa will pull an upset 5. McMeghan vs. 12. 6A9 Ace Matador - probably the best player atm 6. Bloo vs. 11. BKC - GL Man. 7. Ciele vs. 10. Vinc2612 - Ciele will win this round and then get lucked in the next one, therefore fulfilling the prophecy that we all lose in the semi finals. 8. Lavos Spawn vs. 9. Kevin Garrett - Kev is far better in Gens 3 and 4 __________________ (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
