Deoxys-A @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Spd/6 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
---
I really hate teams that have more than one Focus Sash (even though I am using one :naughty:). This Deoxys basically ensures that I will have Stealth Rock down from Turn 1 unless I face something I want dead, like Lead Kyogre which I tend to Mirror Coat against every time. I also like Taunt to be in effect for when I send out my next Pokemon, in case their Pokemon is a Sleep Talker. There are two reasons I use this rather than Deoxys-S. I prefer for it to be a surprise that Deoxys-A is not running an attacking set, and I want to deal as much damage as possible with Counter even if my opponent is sitting there Rapid Spinning (with Forretress for example). Defense IVs are absolute minimum.

496.png

Darkrai @ Focus Sash
Ability: Bad Dreams
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dark Void
- Swords Dance
- Pursuit
- Brick Break
---
This is another surprise value set. I sacrifice something to bring this in (usually Deoxys-A), then I Swords Dance on what I hope to be a switch. Depending on what they sent in I will either Swords Dance again while they hit me or Dark Void. Since there are a large number of Psychics in Ubers and I will almost certainly have Stealth Rock up, I can then Dark Void what I hope to be a Psychic type and Pursuit it, removing it and allowing me to Sleep something else. Also, since there are a lot of Deoxys-A@Focus Sash leads around, this set abuses their presence. I can Dark Void them while they Superpower me, then Pursuit them as they try to abuse Sleep Clause by switching. Since this might not seem to be a believable strategy for some reason, there are some logs at the bottom of this RMT! Brick Break is for Dialga and Blissey and is Darkrai's most powerful move against a number of other non-Psychic Pokemon too.

384.png

Rayquaza @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Air Lock
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
---
This set is pretty simple. I Substitute on switches or status moves, DD as many times as possible then activate Liechi Berry before attempting to sweep. This has been working reasonably well, and definitely better than the old version which was SD Salac.

489.png

Palkia @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Spacial Rend
- Thunder
- Fire Blast
- Aura Sphere
---
Ok, so this team isn't completely abnormal. Palkia serves as an excellent "Revenge Killer" and lategame sweeper. Spacial Rend is a very useful move in Ubers, allowing me 2HKO most Giratina, Groudon and other annoying Pokemon. Max speed allows me to outspeed DDQuaza after a DD and tie or beat other Scarfed Palkia.

383.png

Groudon @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 160 HP/226 Atk/124 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
---
This set might look strange but it has been working surprisingly well. After one Bulk Up and one Rock Polish, this Groudon usually sweeps offensively-orientated teams with relative ease assuming I have Stealth Rock down. I beat most other Groudon one versus one with Bulk Up and Rock Polish allows me to outspeed everything one expects to see in the Uber metagame. The EVs are specific I believe, but I can't remember what they are for other than the speed which beats +Speed nature Scarf Palkia after one Rock Polish.

382.png

Kyogre @ Leftovers
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 240 HP/244 Def/26 Spd
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Sleep Talk
- Surf
- Rest
---
This is the last set on the analysis. I am considering using Ice Beam over Sleep Talk and if I do then possibly also Substitute over Rest and max HP. Tell me what you think!

I do have some issues with well built/played Uber Stall teams and I do lose reasonably frequently (although not a majority of my matches) so there must be some improvements I can make and I need your help to make them. I enjoy playing this team quite a lot:toast:

I'm pretty sure I've played this team before (no log of me included :( ) because I doubt many people run those exact same sets lol (unless someone copied your team before you posted it :/ )It seems like a pretty solid team. I have to ask though, why not use Deoxys-S in place of Deoxys-A? I don't see the point really, can't Deoxys-S do the same thing or am I mistaken? I've seen a few people run Duel Screen D-E in ubers and maybe yours could tie with it for a Taunt before it sets up, just a thought.

Now, this team has a ton of speed as it is. Choice Scarf Palkia, Salac Rayquaza, Rock Polish Groudon, do you really need Choice Scarf Kyogre? Also, I see Scarf Palkia and Scarf Kyogre largely accomplishing the same things. I can see the clear uses of Scarf Kyogre but might you consider Rest-Talk CM Kyogre? You could pump more special defense into it and with a few CMs you won't really need it to outrun anything (barring critical hits obviously) and it would give you a nice sleep absorber (I'm assuming you let D-A take the sleep if he's still alive). Maybe I'm missing something but I think it might be a decent thing to consider. Also, I think it might help with your stall team problems. If the stall team doesn't have Whirlwind Lugia or CM/Psych Up Blissey you can usually push through them with Kyogre. This also prevents Toxic from ruining your fun. I can't tell you how often stall teams rely on toxic to kill Kyogre.

I've used that Rayquaza before actually and it's pretty amazing. If the team lacks any opposing steal type it's usually "good game". I've actually used Dragon Claw > Outrage before (I've used both) and I've found it's sometimes really useful to not lock myself in Outrage but I suppose you would have already scouted the team before so this doesn't matter. I was just throwing thought out.

Now Darkrai, I just looked through it's move dex and I don't think I saw another physical dark move, besides Payback which isn't much better really (how did they seriously give this thing Sword Dance but not Night Slash ugh). What I worry about here is a lack of a good physical STAB. I read the logs and saw the uses of Pursuit but I can at least tell you when I played you the times I did this was your most worthless member. It may have just been how the structure of my team is built. Also, who switches a psychic type into Darkrai? I might, note might since I'm not certain, consider replacing this with one of those uber CB tyranitar's with a lot of special defense EVs to survive stuff like a Mewtwo's Aura Sphere. I just am not sure what Darkrai is doing for the team other than getting a surprise kill on blissey (which I think your team handles well enough tbh).

BTW, after we battled I stole that Groudon after I played you (obviously my EVs were slightly different but they were pretty much the same) and it's been working out AMAZING.

What I see potentially being your biggest problem is Choice Scarf Palkia's. I imagine you play around it but I remember when I played you it seemed you relied a bit too much on that speed tie. I also seem some Mixquaza problems, you can't really switch anything into safely. It's a shame Arceus isn't available yet since a Water or Grass type Arceus over Kyogre could do wonders for this team (not that the team isn't great already). I actually think CM Kyogre would help with the Palkia problems since Palkia won't be able to force you out after a CM or two and you can Rest-Talk away until you kill it. I've used it before and I can tell you it's always beaten a Scarf Palkia 1 on 1 if I get a CM or two on switches. Mixquaza I think you'll just have to predict around since it requires kinda a lot to fix that (and basically nothing safely counters Mixquaza easily).

Anyway, I didn't have a lot of comments since it's a pretty cool team (and I'm really tired right now lol) and I can see it being really successful. I struggled the first time I played you, it was such a close match, because those sets were so non-standard (I don't mean this as in they are one of those gimmicky sets like HP Bug Swampert, they are still consistent even after your surprise is gone). Again, really cool team!

wow, <3 your Sash Deo and SD Darkrai! It's interesting how your priority is Taunt > SR for a guarantee SD on Darkrai.

On Rayquaza, I think DD and Liechi / Yache would screw you less from Scarfers. A salac boost alone makes it vulnerable to the likes of your ScarfPalkia. However, it does help beat Lugia that would wall Groudon, and that would be frustrating (although your Darkrai seems to lure lots of Lugia out of their bird cage!)

I can't find a solid problem of your team. You lose your first two Pokemon quite early in the game, but then again you take down two Pokemon on average with you. After the chaos that the Sashers causesd, it's pretty much up to Rayquaza and Groudon to sweep I guess, as Choice Scarfers are a bit limited to revenge-killing, and they both are easily walled by Blissey. Latias may be your biggest problem, second to Blissey, as it can easily switch-in after a revenge kill by the Scarfers and you can't do much to it back without inflicting lots of damage.

Tyranitar is pretty good imo, as it deals with problematic walls like Lugia, Blissey, and Latias. It can sub up to avoid status. Taunt (to prevent Lugia from WW) + DD + Crunch sounds like a nice combo, although kinda redundant with Darkrai heh.

Yea, nice suggest on removing the scarf on Kyogre Caelum =d. That's one less thing that is totally screwed when Blissey comes in, and improves the team's defense a whole lot. It also provides a great status absorber, and counters Lugia even better.

I still think Latias is problematic. Kyogre is a set-up bait, Ray is usually slower and OHKOed, and Latias can survive a Spacial Rend to hit Palkia SE. Not too sure how well Groudon takes a Dragon Pulse / Grass Knots either. You may be knocking her out with your Darkrai though.

Most of the times, however, Palkia would 2HKO Latias with Spacial Rend. Even if Palkia dies, Groudon should be able to survive an unboosted Grass Knot for the KO. I wish Metagross / Tyranitar could fit somewhere though for a more secure solution to Latias, but it also doesn't seem too necessary, especially with SR support.
