What is it?
The reverse tournament is where you are effectively playing to win, but by prediction the opposite way!

Each player will send in a team at the start of every round. I will send out the player's team to their opponent. You then play with each other's team. Both players have to then play to lose, and try make the team they are using win. So you win if ShoddyBattle says you lose.

No longer will you want to switch Gliscor into Lucario, you'll now want to switch Lucario into Gliscor's Earthquake! An obvious hint is to avoid moves like Swords Dance; your opponent will be likely to use it repeatedly, which means they are unlikely to attack you. You will need to think carefully about the team building. On top of this, you'll have first hand knowledge of both teams, which makes prediction even trickier.

This will be a single elimination tournament, with 32 players. First come, first serve. I will be taking substitutes. Teams must be built and sent in as soon as possible at the start of every round, and when I have received both player's teams I shall swap them (you can use the same team over and over, just let me know). It should be noted that this will be used as an indication of activity.

  • Soul Dew Clause
  • Latias is allowed. Latios and Manaphy are banned. Battle logs must be sent to me by the winner.
  • Timed Battle is off to stop people predicting right and then timing out, to lose.
  • Anybody who leaves the match in an attempt to lose (and thus win), will be disqualified.
  • You are only allowed three switched per 10 turns. Switches do not carry over to the next 10 turns.

(EDIT: What is to stop a player from continuously switching? If this is part of the rules I don't want in)
